- Having some fun after first major snow storm in South Lake Tahoe. 6" procomp lift with coilovers. 37x13.5-17 dick cepek fun country 2's.

Also, dick cepek tires run small for a 37 so you may have trouble fitting something like a toyo MT which run large

For some reason, even in 2022, this is my favorite bodystyle of all gens. Even the interior is so beautiful, especially the front seats in black leather
It's unbelievable how amazing the F150 does even in deep snow.
And with good tires

Always been more of a GM guy but for some reason I love this body style. Something about it. Interior is way above Chevy for the years and I'll say that. That was until 2007.5 when the upped it a lil. But these changed the luxury truck game in 04. I respect it and I want one eventually

Efren Pando except the dreaded 6.0 and 6.4's that needed bulletproof to run right. And transmission wise nothing will beat the allison, all though one could argue the 7.3/6.7 powerstrokes are the best diesels alongside the cummins 5.9/5.7

Something about this video just makes it epic... good looking truck, quiet, girls fixing their coats... not being loud and obnoxious, guy having fun with his truck in the snow not trying to show off and break his truck, friend not persuading friend to go crazy and break his truck ... 5 out of 5... Would watch again.

One of my best friends is a Chevy guy. He's on his 3rd truck. I still have my 04 F-150 with over 234k original engine transmission was replaced at 190k. GOOD WORK HORSE.

Efren Pando I put up with a lot of hell for having a Ford but these things take a beating and keep on going. Just went from a 99' off Road with 350k (still running fine) to 06' FX4 quad cab. Absolutely love it and both trucks with bare tires would go through any amount of snow on 4x4

I'm thinking of buying a used 2005 Ford F150 fx4 w/ 150K miles. Is it too many miles for it? What should I look for that will tell me its a bad buy? I'm getting it for $9K. Is this too much for these trucks? What are the pros and cons of these trucks? I really like the look of these instead of the xlt. Any advise is will be greatly appreciated.
I have an 09 Fx4 and no problems so far and as long as the maintenance is kept on time and up to date..150,000 miles isn't anything
mportklr I suggest doing the research on that particular year. All of them have their problems/issues. But some years are worse than others. I bought an 06' with 160k not long ago. Only had it for 6m and have needed minor normal maintenance and has so far been great. I don't know where you live but if it's in Canada and the truck is in good shape I'd say an 05' w/150k for 9g is a good deal or right on par for price. When it comes to a truck under 200k is always good. Taken care of will go to 4-600k. I paid 11k for mine but I've seen my year for 14k that's why I jumped on it. Just research the year. Literally google 2005 Ford F-150 fx4 problems. All the things that you encounter may never happen but always that chance. That's my advice
Good tires and a decent 4wd system. This truck ripped right through the snow.

I was just up in Lake Tahoe for Presidents’ Day weekend 2019. It was one of the worst snow storms to hit the eastern sierras in twenty years. I was in my 2018 Ford F-150 4X4. I saw everyone else struggling while I plowed through the streets with zero issues.

Depends on the vehicle. Mine came with limited slip front and rear. While in 4x4 on front and rear will spin but if there is a loss in traction the other wheels will spin. On the other end my buddy's Jeep Cherokee has open differentials front and rear. Only the rear right and front left get power.
A lot of newer pickups now come with a electric lockers in the rear so you can lock it so bother wheels always receive power.

These Fords take a licking and keep on ticking. My '89 Ford Ranger is still working like a champ. Turns on every time.
@Randy270 not usually. I had to pull out the grinder and shave off some of the metal on the inside fender. If you go this route make sure to check the specs on the tires you got. Not all 37's are the same. The DC's are on the smaller side.

@browning0885 I have been really happy with them. The ride its good and the perform pretty well off road for me. Their tread pattern is very similar to an MT but closer together to make it more street friendly.
Nice ride. An F-150 black on black is a sweet ride. Any guys who actually driver their trucks makes them that much nicer. I hate seeing these rigs in places where they never leave the street. Nicely done!

@safarigoo I've never had an issue. I think that may hold true for lighter vehicles but my truck weight damn near 6000 lbs.

How are those Fun country's thinking of getting a set so I don't ruin my IROKS but I heard the DC's have side wall issues that DC won't cover, any issues with yours and how they wear. I am tied between Terra graps and these.

@thegame52291 Jeeps are great. My buddy who I wheel with has one, thought of getting one myself. However, I have been on trails where my truck has outperformed jeeps. Mainly on steep trails where the longer wheel base and big tires help.
I have an 04 fx4 all stock, no lift, mo bigger tires just the 18inch size it came with been through 8 new England winters with it so far, several storms where I went to work before any plows started, click it in 4H and no worries. Wife is on ford escape #2 also no worries I do believe they make a fantastic truck and SUV.

I'm curious -- did you add diff-locks or limited slip diffs? It handles the snow pretty well. Seems like with regular diffs, it would've got stuck much easier
How the hell do you fit 37's with a 6 inch lift? I have the same tires only theyre 34's on a silverado with a 6 inch lift as well and it rubs
@dusty2good Thank you. A lot of people miss the point of my video's. This is a street truck getting beat up off road. This isn't a purpose built trail rig or baja truck.

I just recently got a 2010 Ford F150 SuperCrew 4x4. I will be moving to Alaska next year. Not really sure about I will be getting my truck snow ready. But what kind of tires do you have? And what are some good tips for driving a F150 in the snow?

I would drive through and smash snow banks with my 1990 "5 point slow" but it was my baby...RIP. Anyways it was always fun smashing snow but I would have to put about 400 LBS of sand in the back cause I only had 2 wheel drive. I one day lined up with this little glacier and smashed right into it. Only problem is it was solid ice and my truck felt like I hit a 1 foot tall curb cause my front end went up, my head smashed the ceiling, and huge chunks were in my rear-view mirror. Fun times. It's my fault the truck died. Would do brake-stands and shit and the engine only made it to 195k. Wow I wish I could go back and baby the hell outta that truck. Got a replacement one though it's a 1988 4.9 5 speed.

sweet ford! i like how you played off getin stuck at the end.jk sweet ride! sum lockers in those axles will make that thing unstopable! whats the gas mileage on that thing. my father in law has a stock 07 f150 ext cab 4x4 and its gets shitty fuel mileage so i could imagine what 37" tires does to it.
