I am facing the same issue in my bs4 inteceptor. This is the second RR unit. The battery light does not come in short rides. When I am on long rides, the battery light pops up and my horn sounds like the battery is out of charge. If I park the bike for sometime and start again the issue seems to disappear. I am having a hard time trying to make RE people to understand the issue. When I take it to the service center, they take the bike for a short ride and say everything is fine.

Reason for damage...location of rr unit ..its just behind the engine...no proper heat dissipation...engine heat directs on rr units which too heats during operation
