All of those flame bulbs are converting the 120 AC voltage to a low DC voltage, so you can power just the LEDs and their controller directly. But the DC voltage required varies between models and manufacturers. ruclips.net/video/KQRV1-R1z8k/видео.html
Awesome video! I wasn't aware of those flicker controllers, so I was very happy to learn about them. The LED clusters look awesome too. I'm always looking for more options for flicker effects, so this is super helpful. Thanks for sharing!
Aww thanks so much y’all! Glad it helped. They are really the best bang for your buck and I love having options for control. How are y’all doing? Staying safe and hopefully sane lol
@@SuperTonkers We're hanging in there! I enjoyed your Halloween Is Not Cancelled video, so I made one too. Looking forward to providing some entertainment and fun for people this year! 🎃 🎃
We just watched! Thank y’all so much for creating a video and sharing! Just sorry I didn’t challenge y’all myself 😉 so many great projects planned for this year! Can’t wait to see the development of the peppers ghost effect. It’s a fun one. Glad to hear y’all are hanging there. Same here. Would it be ok if I reposted a link to this video to share?
I wish i could make videos this long, lol. Love using the cluster LEDs and flicker controllers! I made a video about these last year and got so much hate from people saying it's too expensive.
You totally can! Just ramble on forever like I do lol. Yea that was a great video! I can relate to the comments on our chainsaw video... haters can hate 😎 For the cost you can’t get a better option for flicker controllers so.... more for us!
Great video. I know VanOaks and others uses RCA jacks and jack panels to distribute the 12V power. I know you mentioned below you don't use RCA and use the 2.1-5.5 mm instead. Is that because you want to control each light individually with an AC controller? If not, how do you distribute the 12V power without having a single PS for each device or small groups of devices?
Yes your are correct and I have control over every light and circuit. To split off a power supply I use the splitters to branch off. They have splitters up to 8 and we split off that bc the power consumption is so low. The RCA connector system is fantastic though! 🎃💀❤️
Hi I’m looking for a video that maybe you might have done. I believe it involved gargoyles and it showed how you light up their eyes. Using some of the wires above. Did you make a video like that
Was the LED used in the Red lantern the same as the "ember orange special effects led" that you reviewed in this video? With the quick glimpse I got of the bulb itself, it looked taller than what you reviewed. Please advise. Thank you.
As always another fantastic tutorial!!! Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge. To have lighting as spectacular as yours is my goal. One question / clarification, In your pumpkins do you use the big Edison size flame light or the smaller candelabra size? Again thank you! 👻
❤️ thank you! We use the candelabra base for 98% of our pumpkins. We have two giant ones that are the standard Edison bases. If you need the links are in the description too
Can you plug those flicker controllers into a led strip? I have a existing 12v led strip running around a room and want to add the flicker effect. Looks like the controller will plug in between the power supply and the led box, will this work?
Depends on what's powering the LED strips. If they are all one color all the time then any flicker add on will do the same to all the LEDs. If the strip can do patterns then you can replace the controller with anything that can control WS2812B LED strips.
Nice! I had to use a wooden skewer to poke through the foam latex. Then had to take the lantern handle off and thread it through the center of the fist where you poked the hole.
What would you recommend to create a medieval torch props? So far we use flame bulb but the 4 mode switching is kinda annoying. (yes we have to use battery for that XD )
Will they be handheld or on a wall? Are you using the bigger flame bulbs that have a lot of led lights simulating the flame or just flicker bulbs? We modify those small flame pots from Spirit for most of our torches.🎃
Loved the "NO MORE WIRE HANGERS" moment 😂
I wish I'd know of you and this very comprehensive tutorial sooner. Great video! 😀👍 Thank you for making this.
Fun fact....if you disassemble the 120v screw in bulb you may find on there's a + and - on the circuit board to run it off 5 v...
That is a fun fact! Will definitely need to try that... thank you🎃💀

Great video, love using flickering lights in my yard haunt. Thanks for breaking it down 👍🏻
Thank you! What kinds of flicker bulbs / controllers do you like to use for your display?
I like frightprops stuff, I think they have some really good products.
I would definitely agree

K&T Do Halloween No worries! That would be great. 😀
I love your videos. I save them in my Halloween diy folder.
That is so cool and very helpful thank you!!
Of course! Glad you found it helpful!

Awesome skills! Thx. How would you make a short circuit affect on string lights. Like someone being electrocuted? Thanks

Have you ever done a tutorial on how to do led light up eyes?
Great information!
Nice tutorial. Any additional info available on the spot LED's?

Sure! What else would you like to know?

I'll admit i'm tired as I post this, but did you make those lanterns or just rewire them?
Was the LED used in the Red lantern the same as the "ember orange special effects led" that you reviewed in this video? With the quick glimpse I got of the bulb itself, it looked taller than what you reviewed. Please advise. Thank you.
Where did you buy the second lantern from? I can't find it anywhere.

You’re the best!! That’s what I thought. Thank you 🎃
Where might one purchase the dietz theatrical lantern you feature?
Looking to light a 3D printed model of Ghost Rider, would these flicker controllers work for powering some custom made LED arays?
That sounds awesome. Yes I would think so as long at the have two power leads and don’t exceed 12v

Ordered that hand do you just poke the lantern handle thru the hand??
Nice! I had to use a wooden skewer to poke through the foam latex. Then had to take the lantern handle off and thread it through the center of the fist where you poked the hole.
@@SuperTonkers thanx!
@@SuperTonkers did you just jam the pvc thru the foam forearms? Lantern one has tha metal coming out of it...

None of these look like Halloween bulbs that emulate electrical problems.
