@@wmsoundpresents Thanks! I'm considering a Martin Dreadnought and they come set up for Medium gauge from the factory but I prefer Light gauge; good to know? May I also ask what sort of mic(s) you used for the recording? Thank you :)

@@reypags6541 I have traditionally used Elixir 80/20 Bronze Nanoweb but lately have experimented with D'Addario, both Phosphor Bronze and 80/20. A few weeks ago I tried Curt Mangan Wound Core (less tension; easier playability) and today put on a set of Martin Tommy Emmanuel Phosphor Bronze (flexible core). I also have a set of DR Sunbeam Wound Core that I will try in a week or so. I am experimenting :) All of these sets have been Light Gauge.

For a dread it sounds decent being fingerpicked. Maybe the string gauge being lighter than normal......
