- Angry Birds is one of the most iconic video game franchises ever! Having 2 movies, TV Shows, and many games. However, one question that I don't see asked enough online is how was this franchise created and what's it's development story?
In this episode of From Concept To Release, I'll be covering the Origin story, development history, and How Rovio made Angry Birds a success allowing them to escape Bankruptcy!

I am still clueless about why Rovio decided to celebrate the 10th anniversary of angry birds by removing the classics
To get rid of their good history and focusing on horrible ones? I'm gonna say yes.

Man, Angry Birds is pure nostalgia. I wish Rovio knew how to handle it nowadays.
i remember being six years old when my dad got a iphone and the first mobile game we ever played
was angry birds,me and my dad used to play it every day i will never forget those memories.
I remember buying *Angry Birds Space* early release and being hyped for *Angry Birds Star Wars* ,now I’m disappointed that Rovio took a different path with milking the franchise and releasing more tile matching games.

By the way, the beginning of the story I’m about to tell you was told to me by my dad. On either my second or third Thanksgiving, my cousin, Alex, was playing Angry Birds. He showed the game to everyone and everyone played. I also heard I was actually pretty good at it. After we left, I immediately asked my parents to to get it for me (or not, I don’t know. Again, I don’t remember that far. I’m pretty sure my parents downloaded it for me since I liked it). Rinse and repeat for every AB game until 2016. I saw the movie trailer and I was immediately saying “why does this have to exist?” I saw it anyway just because it was out. I thought it was okay. Not “that was good” okay, I just thought it was okay. I still hated the designs, though. When I started seeing that Rovio was only using the movie design, I knew they were just getting greedy. I actually still have all the good Angry Birds games, and I still play them. I also have all of the Telepods, I just don’t know where they are.

What happened to Rovio ? Their games used to be simple/generic but still solid and unique enough to warrant the price tag. It's like they top off with Bad Piggies and went down with the quality ever since

I want to point out chuck's design that i noticed when I was about 6-7 if you look at his comb or what ever is on his top there are two version of him on how he looks ones has a black top one has a curvy yellow top

So weird. I remember getting angry birds in January of 2010, later when seasons dropped its second Halloween update that puffed up orange bird became my favorite of the flock, after that space released and I got it immediately. Same story with Star Wars. Then in 2013, I found a game called Animal crossing new leaf for 3DS and yeah angry birds became dead to me lol
