the drummer Lombardo...the king of the bass drums!
GOD
He does pretty awesome on the Tom’s, the snare, and the cymbals too.
He likes to play
Not even close
Duplantier is much more proficient at it.
Tom has the voice of an ANGEL..... THE ANGEL OF DEATH !!!!! 👹👹👹👹👹👹👹🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
My chills get chills on that last lightning strike.
A couple of suggestions:
"Fall from grace" by Morbid Angel
"Blood, Fire, Death" by Bathory
"Spiritual healing" by Death
Any of the above will melt your face...in a good way.
Edit: That's not a couple, it's a trio - and that's me sober!
cheers, mate!
thats too much for their ears lol... add Celtic Frost - Into The Crypts Of Rays, to the list...
I understood PERFECTLY what you were talking about mentioning Tom's voice sounding like a demon. Totally get it. And that's a pretty accurate description.
Omg Slayer and I go so far back and me and my fellow skaters were introduced to them at 10 when we bought our first boards. I absolutely felt the destruction from them and the meanings behind their lyrics and King on guitar…doesn’t get much better. Beastie Boys knew it too for sure!!!
I’ve been lucky enough to see slayer live several times, and in the farewell tour couple years ago Lombardo would throw in some extra rolls here and there
The only thing missing was Jeff
Slayer and Pantera together at the Nassau Coliseum circa the early 2000s was the loudest show I'd ever been to out of probably 150. Everything sounded underwater for a week. I think that show gave me tinnitus. Still.. worth it. 🤘
Angel of Death next
The first line of the song is what it's all about-Trapped in Purgatory :I
I had to revisit this reaction.......one of your best for sure.
Slayer - Dead Skin Mask, Stain of Mind, Playing With Dolls, Crionics & Payback
That song musically at the end is an audio description of the place without reason.
It's raining blood... cmon It is raining blood!
Produced by Rick Rubin and on Def Jam records which is funny because they mostly do rap artists
Slayer - Snuff, Eyes of the Insane, Behind the Crocked Cross. All amazing songs
AMEN BROTHA
I would disagree that Reign in Blood is their best album. IMO, South of Heaven is one of their best but it is quite different from their earlier albums. "Ghost of War" is probably the fastest song and is one of the most underrated songs off South of Heaven. Also, the song "Hell Awaits" off the album Hell Awaits is another song with a super heavy and creepy beginning, especially with the demonic voices saying "join us" backwards in the background.
They were a thrash metal band , so reign in blood gotta be their best in that ambit , but yeah , maybe they have better music but , as i said that album is the best of slayer being thrash metal
Please don't get me wrong, I LOVE THIS ALBUM, but I personally like HELL AWAITS the best. I just feel like the EVIL in it is just above all the other ALBUMS.
There is quite simply nothing like a Slayer pit. I saw them with Megadeth, Anthrax, and Alice in Chains (who unfortunately got booed off). But still, during Angel of Death... it was like a tornado of people consisting of the entire floor section. Them and Pink Floyd were just phenomenal at shows.
Such a shame about Alice in chains, they're awesome.
Why did they get boo'd off?
@@JohnDoe-nr5rj Just the "hard-core" being hard-core. AIC wasn't heavy enough in the company of the rest of the acts.
@@JohnDoe-nr5rj if memory serves, it was LA Colosseum. Clash of the Titans tour.
Another banger from one of the Big 4! This song was actually covered by Ice Ts band Body Count.
Haunting the Chapel ep is raw, evil SLAYER!
Dave was the best drummer of the Big 4. Tom was the best singer. His falsetto is amazing and the singing he did on Show No Mercy is better than anything the others have done.
While I agree with your statement about Lombardo, in no way can you argue that Tom was the best singer. Technically speaking his voice isn't that great. Many can reach very high octaves in falsetto. However, I think he worked well with Slayer similar to the way Mustaine works with Megadeth. Personally, I actually like Mustaine's voice more.
Whether you like it or not, James has the best voice in the big 4.
@@WilliamSchneir Tom sounds 100x better on Show No Mercy than James. James adopts this tone in his signing reminiscent of a parody of "manly" singing almost like a South Park parody.
@@SonOfTheLion it's all subjective and as a life long huge fan of Slayer I agree about Lombardo but Tom is not the best in my opinion, especially live. He is good on album for sure but...
@@dontreadonme5331 I will only say that there aren't music schools all around the world to make you good because it is "subjective".
Raining Blood moshpits were the best!
if anyone was playing outlast 2, it literally started raining blood at some point.
Fucking Slayer Rules. Ive got their logo tattooed on my right forearm!!!
You should listen first Postmortem and then Raining Blood
Dead Skin Mack
World Painted Blood
Mangatory Suiside ( Live at AOL Sessoons)
Hauting The Chapel
Chemical Warfare
Skeletons Of Society
You hit the nail on the head
Listen to Repentless, you against you, bloodline, vices
React to Dead embryonic cells, by sepultura...a brazilian band...
I love Slayer ballads 😂.
Angel Of Death!🤘
1986
Yep the original breakdown
So what’s it called in creeping death on ride the lightning?
@@chadphelps5809 you got a point there
1985 bonded by Blood 🤘
11:15 Is time to listen Death Metal boys (Deicide, Morbid Angel, Obituary, Death, Entombed, etc...)
The funny thing it's that Tom Araya is Chtistian and he sings anti religious lyrics when ever Kerry K8ng Writes.
This would be Jeff, no? Jeff was s better song writer imo
@@odessawadford3663 Kerry wrote the satanic shit and Jeff wrote the more complex songs about war, death, etc. Yeah Jeff was the far superior songwriter
Christian? He's probably Jewish, so he may be a judaist but never a Christian. Was he born again? If he would have then he wouldn't perform them, just like Head stopped playing for Korn. OK, I know Nicko McBrain still played Number of the Beast for IM but I bet Tom isn't a Christian.
10:44 every reaction video grooves to this part 😎
Vice city vibes 🤘
Listen to season in abys from slayer
Tom is not singing. He spits words in a kinda melodic way
You should listen to Altar of Sacrifice next
😎🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
2020 is proof that God listens to Slayer.
Well, members of Slayer probably won't ever see Heaven and face of God, MAYBE for a minute when they will be judged. They always were against Jesus, had that rebellious approach just like Lucipher had and that won't get them anywhere. Their album covers are straightforward - they hate God.
@@aimfuldrifter *yawn. Ya can’t prove any of it and you know it.
Tyler is so funny
7:31 the guy on the right
4 people actually playing instruments , writing their own music and songs is a BAND....stupid RHYMING along with STOLEN BEATS.....is not a band....Slayer ..at least plays what they believe .and will never sell out...respect
Are you a salty ex-fan of Metallica
React to Repentless (Official Video) and Desciple by SLAYER

SLAYER!!!!🍻

One rock’s best voices in rock when you like music it all to much for I don’t like great music
I am almost always disappointed that reactions to Raining Blood do not also include the first part of the 2-part song.. 'Postmortem' On the cassette tape the transition between the two is seamless.. and it always just feels wrong to start with Raining Blood and the thunderstorm is kinda 'already going'
Beyond that.. the blast beat description is off a bit. It is not the whole band.. just the drummer. 66Samus did a video on blast beats.. ruclips.net/video/B4KNXi-SWWc/видео.html if you want to learn more about the majority of blast beat types.
It is a seamless transition! If Postmortem was a little shorter we would've included it. Thanks for the info about the blast beats!

Divine Intervention is actually their best album by far….
three stooges or what?
You, Nick, heard this one before, white guy to. So, there the "reaction" part must to be intresting?
If there is at least one of us that has not heard the song before we label it as a reaction. If we have all heard it we put it as a reaction/review. For this song, Ty had heard some of the song but not in it's totality. This was Ryan's first time hearing it.
Less talking more listening. Shut your mouths and enjoy SLAYER
Listen in your hole alone then. Shut the f up if you don't like reaction videos.
What a horrible acting job by Ty.
If that was a 'genuine reaction', maybe he should stick with Bon Jovi and Poison songs?
fake as hell.
Hi Chris, sorry you feel that way. We don't fake any reactions 👍
@@ViewsFromThe502 This surely does feel like a fake reaction. You know too much before the song even really started.
@SharpyS If there is at least one of us that has not heard the song, we label it as a reaction. For this song, there were two of us that had not heard it. I've heard it plenty of times (guy in the middle). We address which of us have and haven't heard the song in all of our videos. This was no different.
@@ViewsFromThe502 - well the dude on the left seemed to know some of the changes that were coming. Like when that riff/groove starts at 5:34 it's like he started to move his head to the beat RIGHT when it started. Then again at 5:56, the change up to the fast part he started moving his head to the music almost right away. Meh, maybe I'm wrong, oh well.
@@NS1. Haha you guys don't have to believe us, but Ryan was just bobbing his head is all. If you watch our other videos it's clear that he has never heard any of the hard rock/metal songs that we react to. Maybe this one just had some lucky synchronization at times, I don't know. But there's no reason for us to lie. If we wanted to be fake or have it be rehearsed the "reaction" would've been much more absurd and over the top than what you see here.
