Really good and honest review, most of the people who are complaining are normally the classic fan base of an extremely hyped brand IMO. I was about to buy this case for my 15PM but as long I began to see some reviews I really discovered this case had a lot of hype and is just an overpriced “clear case”. The brand said it was impossible to develop yellowing just like the case was a miracle and that’s just because they’re using solid black TPU corners that any other 10 bucks case have, so that’s obvious, that will never yellow, but is not due to any kind of new technology, that’s just because of the color. The back plate of the case is polycarbonate, the same material of any other 10 bucks case and that does not yellow and it’s easy to scratch, another obvious fact that they chose to glorify. Personally, I don’t like the case because the price, I don’t see anything revolutionary on it to justify paying and waiting too much to arrive. Also, the MagSafe being not flush to the backplate of the case fits a little weird when you’ll try to use any MagSafe accessory like a wallet, so that’s another “no” for me. I’m a little bit worried about how much time the case will last before the black corners will start to separate from the polycarbonate back plate. Anyway, thanks for a good review and a very high quality video. Congrats! New subscriber here.
I just got mine and all you said is true, mine came out of the box with smudges and scratches (iPhone 14 pro max). I wouldn't care if this case was 10 bucks, but this is a 50 dollar case, I expected a lot more from dbrand. Very good review by the way.
I Ordered mine, had no scratches out of the box. But in all honesty, I simply do not care iv the case itself scratches easily, it looks good regardless and its going to scratch and get scuffed up. That is the ENTIRE point of having a case. I like the grips around the sides, I like the look. all in all a win win. Id rather have the case get scratched up and not my $1300 phone.
0 seconds ago 👏👏🇨🇦🇨🇦 I got this case, and I'm sending it back. The magnets are useless., funny how the company does not want to return your emails for a return , mmmm not good service at all...
should get mine this week, but im already a bit disappointed of how easily it scratches, just by inserting/removing the phone, or even scratched out of the box.
Honestly, the case is really nice if you can look past the QC issues. It and a customized clear castify case will more than likely be my go to cases this year.
@@JeremiahsTechBut the Casetify is bulky they said. I mean for quality clear cases they said the Casetify is the best, but the problema is that is the bulk and weight that adds to the phone. Honestly i never had One so i dont know if it is true that add much bulk and weight.
I had every intention of ordering this for my Google Pixel 8 Pro but your review has really put the dampeners on doing so as I’m absolutely paranoid about blemishes and scratches. Looks like I’m back to the drawing board.
Dude. Listen to me. I just got my pixel 8 pro case today. It came with 4 scratches. 3 hours later (now).... Is FULL of scratches. Again..... THERE ARE SCRATCHES EVERYWHERE!!!!!!! I CANNOT BELIEVE THEY RELEASED THIS
@@Mike-uv4dc😂 you make me laugh because i imagine you screaming. Dont know what to do.
i just ordered it, because now they say you get a new revised one around april of 2024 so 2 cases for 1 price, as long as it doesnt scratch the phone
Do you think the direction you insert the phone from contributes to the scratching from inserting the phone? I wonder if you inserted the bottom first if that would make the scratching lesser since the bottom can flex more out of the way of the phones edges.
The case looks so good but the scratches out me down from ordering it, good thing is that they addressed the problem and gonna re do them again on April
I don't think the issue people have with the flex on the lower end of the case is that the phone might fall out. It's that the plastic will warp and not sit flush with the phone. I've had cases that did that and I'd be shocked if this doesn't happen with the iPhone Ghost Case. That kind of flex just screams "warpage". FYI: I have the Ghost Case for the S23 Ultra and there is no flex anywhere. It's solid as a rock. That said, I'm a little disappointed that the back is the hard polycarbonate. I have never liked those cases as polycarbonate is quite heavy. And that's my biggest issue with the case: it's heavy. I do like the design and the grippy sides, though. I'm probably going to get another $15 Spigen clear case for my phone and switch back and forth.
@@avenuePad Yeah no, I get what youre trying to say. Youre still far off. I got ghost case for s22 ultra for ex. I have several other cases for s22 ultra. I looked up the weights for several "super thin cases". The ghost case I got is 34g. The next lightest case which is basically just a condom over the phone is 49g. Everything else from the super thin cases are 56-67g. First off that weight difference is indistinguishable for 99.9% of people. Secondly it's still substantially lighter even then.
@@wolimoli My Spigen Crystal Flex case is 36.85g. The Ghost Case is 56.6g. It's a noticeable difference. Again, I'm not saying that I feel like I'm dragging around a brick in my pocket. It's more so if I'm holding the phone for a while. I notice the weight difference. I still like the Ghost Case. I will be switching back and forth. Regardless, the Ghost Case is heavier than the case I've been used to, by a large margin relative to what a case normally weighs. Edit: Just to be clear. This is a nitpick on the Ghost Case. It's not a deal breaker, for me. Like I said, the Ghost Case is currently on my phone right now and I will be using it on and off for the foreseeable future. I just find it a tad heavy compared to the case I'm used to.
If you have an iPhone, just get the Apple-made clear case. It's thin and priced the same. Made with a polycarbonate blend that allows it to be flexible. They put a coating on it to resist scratches, too. Both the material and coating are designed to resist yellowing *but* you will still eventually encounter some yellowing/browning around the buttons and edges. For me, that took about 1.5 - 2 years, which is decent for a no-hassle case.
I received mine on Friday. Flawless out of the box - no scuffs or scratches. Additionally, there’s no play at the bottom lip, clicky/tactile buttons, strong MagSafe magnet, great grip and thin. The Ghost lives up to the hype. This case is a looker too.
Little pedantic to complain about it being labeled as a clear case. If dont dont call it a clear case-- You cant call it a opaque case, right? because the back is clear. I feel like if 90 percent of the case is see through-- you can call it a clear case. You can literally see the product before buying it to decide if you want a case with a black grip. The magsafe protion isnt clear-- I guess its not a clear case. stop it.
I don't know why I'm responding to this since you didn't watch more than 5 seconds but... at what point did I say "I didn't see the product before buying and I thought it was going to be all clear"? Like I said, I mention them calling it a clear case because of their never yellow claim. It doesn't make sense for them to make that claim because it's not a clear case.
@@JeremiahsTech I did watch all of it. I never said you didn't see it, that was rhetorical, as if to say you know exactly what it looks like before you buy it. If you are looking for a clear case, and you don't define this case as a clear case, it's odd that you would complain about it considering you literally see the showcase of the product on the website. I would consider this case a clear case. I just found that super obtuse. Outside of that-- it was interesting to see how the cases are exactly being scratched, if they arrive in good condition.

My only gripe is I was hoping the black around the edges was some kind of rubber to add grip…turns out it’s just plastic.
