Dear Thunderf00t, please do a video debunking the new idea of creating ice-making minisubmarines to refreeze the Arctic. I'm no scientist, but I am willing to wager that this is a clear violation of the laws of Thermodynamics
Practical or possible, no. But by no means a violation of thermodynamics. If that were true then your freezer would violate thermodynamics too 🤦♀️ Also note that creating ice isnt the same thing as cooling down water. Go watch water bottle in freezer experiment videos. You can have sub zero water, remain liquid. Ice is as much a "crystalline" structure thing as it is a temperature thing.
Ryan, you're missing the point entirely. In some cases warm currents of water are getting into huge fissures or channels into the ice formations. Simply diverting the water around rather than into the ice would save the ice or lower it's decline. Refreezing these entrances or fortification of those areas would save the ice sheets in the same way patching up a hole in a roof can save the whole roof. They're not talking about just making ice for the sake of making ice, that is just not possible.
We could totally do it in principal. But you'd be paying for the ice with heat somewhere else so ultimately it's a waste of time AND counterproductive since you'll always produce more heat than ice.

@Marcus "We can barely survive on our planet. So much intelligent design!!!" Indeed. If Jupiter were further away, we probably wouldn't have life here. Compare that to the screenshot at 19:35 and compare that to what 99% of the population would instinctively tell you if asked what a smartphone was. The first full-screen phone was here about 2008. The majority is not using full-screen phones for more than 5 or 6 years. There is an obvious difference in the "smartphone" of the wikipedia-article and the regular public. The objective meaning of "much" can be vague without context, in which case saying it is "4 times as big as something else is much bigger" makes absolute sense, but we have context which is 50 years to 5 years. In case both you and Josh are people of the 1% that think of the "IBM Simon" when asked what a smartphone is, then I admit you're not wrong. I am not wrong in either case.

I'm no scientist, but I am willing to wager that this is a clear violation of the laws of Thermodynamics
Practical or possible, no. But by no means a violation of thermodynamics. If that were true then your freezer would violate thermodynamics too 🤦♀️
Also note that creating ice isnt the same thing as cooling down water.
Smartphones were definitely invented much more than 5 years ago XD
"much" definitelly not.
@Corey You don't get to label me a troll, you swung wide and you missed.
Take a look at the video, at about 19:30, f00t is portraying a sequence of 5 multiplied by 10. He is at 50 and goes to 5.
In that context "much" would mean, I think, it is a lot closer to being 50 years old than 5.
Let's take a look at your 25 year old smartphone. Have you even seen one yourself?

Why do people Laugh at Creationists
"Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence" was a phrase made popular by Carl Sagan.
Yes, but the word "extraordinary" has no business in science protocol, it is an inexact ADJECTIVE. Simply, "claims require evidence" is all that is needed. End the hyperbolic nonsense.
@@NeverTalkToCops1 Are you an idiot?
@@NeverTalkToCops1 Sorry but I disagree with everything you just said.
If someone makes a claim about a Being that created our universe I expect a tremendous amount of evidences (or should I say extraordinary evidence).

Something that Creationists obviously does not understand is that "Inconceivable Odds" does NOT Equate to being Impossible...
Inconceivable just means that given enough time to do enough attempts even that One in a Trillion Trillion thing will happen at least once...
But why did it? Why is there one inconcievable thing on top of another? The nature of reality and our understanding of it is so dynamic I don't understand how people can be so assertive and self righteous. I am Christian because it's the simplest explanation for the nature of evil and the cycles our civilizations go through rising and falling, outside of that I'm humble enough to say I don't know, I just place my faith in the tried and true God over scientism, a pile of mathematical conjecture and assumptions occultists have been trying to convince people of for millennia.
@@madnsdestiny If the god of the bible is "tried and true", then explain to me; Where did god come from, and why did this god create anything so flawed as us and the world we live in?
Great video Thunderfoot loved how it exposed the fine tuning argument's weaknesses, it has always struck me that if the universe was fine funed for life how come so much of it was instantly leathal to life and if the earth was designed for us to live on then why is so much of it uninhabitable?
All you jokes do is pretend to be smart with your fellow losers.
Real science says nothing does nothing. Real science says if there was something there already it must fit with the evidence of what we know. We know the 1LT says there's a conservation of energy. It can change forms and neither can be created or destroyed. Creation cannot happen by natural means. The 2LT has various aspects, one being the universe is winding down, entropy. Usable energy is becoming less usable, so at one point usable energy was at its max. This all points to a supernatural creation, by a supernatural creator at a certain point in which matter, space, and time were created. When I read how it can happen otherwise, ALL the fools resort to science-fiction. Once a supernatural creation is accepted, then the next step is finding proof of what supernatural power did it. We KNOW these laws. We have NO doubts about them. We also KNOW that the laws of nature can't come about without a Lawgiver, God.
So if you want to pretend to be smart, please give me the laugh by giving your science how creation really happened by natural means. Also, throw in how we got the laws of nature, naturally.
Life only comes from life. Law of biogenesis.
God is the reason for us and all we have.

So you're happy with clueless people.
The 1LofT states that energy can't be created or destroyed, it can't happen naturally. One aspect of the 2LofT shows that the universe is winding down, usable energy is becoming less usable. It is clear creation had to be done supernaturally yet it is still denied because people are just too proud to accept that, among other things.
Science does not disprove God. But it does disprove every religion.
explain?
The ideas/fantasies of men (religions) can be shown to be false. The overarching general concept of a "god" however cannot be tested and therefore cannot be falsified.
