-Smack Down > Rock Slide on Aerodactyl.
-Bc Smack Down, Wide Lens -> Assault Gear. Assault gear helps counter a Flamethrower crit, which Zard may rarely use Flamethrower based on who was out last.
-Conkeldurr EVs HP/Atk -> Atk/Def.

Great Guide! Its helping my boosted friend out!
Very neat that you tailored this video on being a 6v6 proper fight, instead of the clever 3v6 or 2v6 setups that are there (including my video on Mt. Silver's Red fight), and since I studied Red's AI to it's finest, I can answer some doubts that you had during the video:
- The reason why he sometimes sends out Venusaur and others Blastoise after you kill Charizard or Sun is up whatsoever while having Aero on the field simply depends on HP ranges: In the Blastoise clip, it appeared that you had more HP than in the fight proper, and the AI cheated and read that Grass Gem boosted Giga Drain from Venusaur didn't KO from that range, so it elected to go Blastoise, who outspeeds by TWO WHOLE SPEED POINTS AFTER SCARF (yes, the speed stat on the image is wrong) thanks to Timid Scarf and min-maxed EV spread to outspeed max speed base 130's in Aero and Jolteon. Also, other times the AI neglects it's own Pokémon and forgets that Venusaur has Chlorophyll and sends out Blastoise even if it's in Grass Gem Giga Drain range.
- On an emtpy field, Red will prioritize sending out either the safest or fastest threat he has according to the mons you've already revealed (and thus, he knows their stats, moves and items). If you've revealed Aero and he still has Blastoise, he'll send out that most likely due to being your highest speedtier and because it outspeeds and threatens a KO. If you haven't revealed Aero or his Blastoise is dead, he'll send out Snorlax due to being the safest. In this example, you've revealed Scarf Garchomp and Aerodactyl while his Blastoise is dead, meaning that once the double kill of Flareon happens, he'll send out Snorlax, because your revealed mons don't threaten a OHKO and, after it reads that it used it's Enter-of-Battle Reflect, none of those 2 threaten a 3KHO and it can cycle through Body Slam/Rest/Sleep Talks safely (that's on the AI's though process).
Very interesting data there. And yeah with the help of people like you who delved deep into the stat spread details, I've learned a bit more compared to what I knew when I made this. That includes the Blastoise speed image and whatnot, since I now know about which mons have non-perfect IV spreads. It looks like I might've stumbled into the correct way to manipulate the AI by accident lol
I particularly want to thank you for that information on why Snorlax was coming out. That's fascinating coding/AI knowledge that I look forward to exploiting in future scenarios
Your respect stat has now increased by 1 o7
damn awesome video, high quality content.
great guide, tysm
i followed your ways to beat red, and i just amazed that finally i can beat red for the first time, thank you for this video, its helped me alot 😅

Thanks, man
Is the first battle more money than the times you fight him afterwards?
Yes it is, by about 3x
Hi, this strat is viable??, is awesome doc
Does Red ever switch Pokemon?
He does under a few circumstances, most notably if his and your Pokémon don't KO each other within 2 turns of the slapfest beginning. There's probably others, but I'd not be able to name them off the top of my head.
@@aizeilonkarugaya Thank you, good to know. I guess the most important thing is whether he will immediately switch out Snorlax against a ghost levitator or check for Levitate before switching.
