1:23 - Rhaenyra is NOT entitled nor narcisistic. (Aegon is however.)
1:38 - Rhaneyra did not lie to Alicent. Also - Alicent hid before her 'very clsoe friend' she is seeing her father. It's Alicent who lost Rhaenyra's trust, not other way around.
1:46 - Aegona nd Aemond also going out of castle, and while Rhaneyra was in public house, she never slept there with anyone: contrary to her brothers. Another argument null and void.
1:55 - Nothing wrong with having intimate relationship. Adn she didn't turn him down and definotely not "coldly". It was Criston who rejected her. She only refused marriage proposal, she wanted to continue their relationship.
2:07 - Rhaenyra has no bastards. All her children are legally legitimate. Vaemond got what he deserved for trying to usurp rightful heir to Driftmark.
Rhaenyra was constantly ridiculed by Viserys. Whether it was about the perception over truth, being too hot headed, flying off on her dragon and risk getting killed when she’s his only heir, not picking a husband fast enough. He was constantly criticising her, he only stopped when she came into her own and finally grew up. I imagine he overlooked her bastards because he forced her into a marriage with Laenor (when eveyone knew he was gay). He was able to marry Alicent while Rhaenyra solved his Velaryon problem for him. He never married Laena and reunited the two great Valyrian houses, Rhaenyra did that.
As for Rhaenyra not sharing her intimate details with Alicent, why would she? Alicent kept the truth from Rhaenyra about marrying her father. She broke the trust first, why are people so quick to remember this? It’s literally what drove them apart to begin with.
Rhaenyra “blindly supports her children” because Aemond did just steal Vhagar. Yes, he STOLE her. Dragons and their eggs belong to the king, it’s why Jaehaerys got mad when Rhaenas girlfriend stole three eggs, it’s why Jaehaerys got mad when his daughter tried to steal a dragon, it’s why Viserys got mad when Daemon stole an egg. To take an egg or claim a dragon you need the permission of the king. He never got that permission. It’s only natural for Rhaenyra to align herself with the children who didn’t just commit a crime.
If Daemon wanted the throne don’t you think he’d have the throne? He would have taken it during his hot headed youth when he had Caraxes, Vhagar, possibly Meleys and Seasmoke on his team. He doesn’t want the throne, he accepts Rhaenyra as his queen. He just doesn’t accept her as his ruler, he hates being told what he can and can’t do. He believes his plans are always the best and in truth he’s right a lot of the time. Let’s remember it was Rhaenyra that approached him and asked him to stay and help her.
You can argue about bastards all day but those bastards are what helped team black win. She had 5 male heirs compared to Aegons 2. While Aegons 2 die, Rhaenyra is still left with two by the end. Both end up ruling on the throne because she had so many “spares”. She did what Viserys told her to do, he said “multiply” almost hinting that if she has so many children then the realm will have to accept her as their queen. You can blow out a single match but it’s harder to blow out a whole bonfire.
In the real world we know having a child out of wedlock is silly to get so mad about. I’ll assume your argument is about in world ideology? If so then wouldn’t Rhaenyra be justified to have her in world response to the allegations pressed by Vaemond? Jaehaerys did something similar when his alleged bastard came forward. He locked him up and presumably sentenced him to death.
Most arguments against Rhaenyra use in world ideology, bastards are bad, women can’t rule… but people never see it from Rhaenyra’s in world point of view. She was practically forced to marry a gay man and yet keep her line alive. From my perspective everyone was consenting adults and it was still functioning better than any of the greens.

Everyone’s always team green or team black like it’s gonna change anything with the show. We all know how this ends: with Aegon iii on the throne and eventually no more dragons. All the show is doing is showing how we got there and eventually how we got to GoT. Cause remember Aegon iii was known as the Dragonbane because all the dragons died or were born sickly after the Dance. They never hatched again until Daenerys hatched hers in the wastelands. And her grandfather Jaehaerys ii became king because of what happened at Summerhall when Aegon V tried to hatch dragons and burned the whole place down instead lol. But anyway support who you want but in the end both sides destroyed the realm. Personally team green was opportunistic dicks and deceitfulness doesn’t fly with me personally lmaoo. Good vid tho

Both Aegon and Rhaenyra were horrible people in the books. Aegon was lazy, a glutton, a drunk, pinched and fondled serving girls, had nunerous bastards, was quick to anger, and slow to forgive. Literally, in his character description on the ASOIAF wiki page with the sources from the books. Rhaenyra was also considered the Realm's Delight yet was spoiled and given all her wants by her father. She was bright and bold, but like Aegon quick to anger and never forgave a slight.
Both of them had claims and pressed their claims with the precedents that most backed them, allies, and armies. Might is just right.
Neither is remembered fondly in history and throughout varying POVs in GOT and other side books. Both Aegon and Rhaenyra are compared to Maegor, and Aegon is also compared to Aenys for being a weak king .
All of which is true.
And for your stupid takes, I'll drop this spoiler. Aegon ii is poisoned by his own council in the books for being a shitty king. Edit to add -- and what makes this more amusing... it happens after Rhaenyra takes the Throne/City for half a year, then is lured to Dragonstone in a plot and killed by Aegon and Sunfyre. So he had "won" but was so crap his council killed him and crowned aegon iii instead.

Rhaenyra was not "spoiled". I am tired of this narration. Also - yes, Rhaneyra ws "quick to anger" in book but that was not the reason she was usurped. Reason was her gender.
Rhaenyra, being given the title ”queen” by her father in a partiarchal medieval world meant that from the start she couldnt make any misstakes. She was dumb to create bastards, she was dumb to treat old Dondarrion as a fool, sleeping with Cole, and just as well not being with Viserys at all during his last years. She should just as well have declared a reaffirmation from Viserys on paper that she should be next in line, not just take his word for it
She does not have any bastards - all here children are legitimate and acknowledged by Laenor. What she was suppose to do when her husband was unable to have children?

Im also Team Green and I dont understand alot of people were Team Black. Was it because the Starks and the North sided with Team Black or Rhaenyra was Danaerys Targaryan's great great great great great great grandma. And we knew the Starks and Danaerys were the protagonist of Game of Thrones. Maybe the world is turning upside down now to root for who were the more evil than lesser evil. Both Families have their own faults but Im still Team Green even though Aemond is going to be mad LoL. 😅 Besides I liked Team Green more because the Hightowers were related to the Tyrells.
Comes down to ideology. I align myself to freedom over customs. Therefore I’m in support of the more liberal side. Team black is far from perfect but it’s a step in the right direction.
Quite easy why most people are team black. Because it was Viserys’s wish that Rhaenyra be his heir and she is more fit to rule than the idiot king.
I’ll add to the previous two answers… The Hightowers pretend to have morals, but they’re as immoral as they come. They shame others but do that same or worse.
Examples:
1. Alicent has sex with Cole (she shamed you know who for it)
2. Otto pimping her daughter out
3. Otto asking viserys make his daughter the heir to get daemon out and then his all against his own manipulative idea
4. Otto using the death of his great grandson to lie and push their agenda
5. Alicent cries over her daughter being messed up from the death of her son, but still pushes for her to accept her fate of grieving in front of all… Messing her up even more.
6. The idiot king welcomes his brother (the kin slayer) with open arms and was happy about Luke’s death, but now is the most hurt human being over his own son’s death.

Your criticism of Daemon is valid. However, Daemon is not a King, but merely a consort of Queen. I would support team Green if they offered good alternative to Rhaenyra and Daemon but ALL candidate sof Team Green are just much unhiged as their uncle.

Now, of course WE as viewers know that Rhaenyra was unable to have children by Laernor but that is audience knowledge. NONE in kingdo can prove boys are not Laenor. He claimed them. End of the story.

My guy...you are NOT delusional. I absolutely am not rooting for Rhaenyra and team Black. I'm not exactly rooting for Team green either, but that's another story. From season one, episode one Rhaenyra has been a spoiled brat and had flaunted and broken every westerosi rule of law they have. And make no mistake EVERYONE in King's Landing KNOWS her kids are bastards. I loved with Vaymon (I think that was his name) calls them out in court...stupidly of course since there was no one there to back him up and no way he was going to leave that Throneroom alive. Very, very foolish on his part. I probably would've waited until I was well and away and safe at home before hurling such declarations. I mean, I get it but dude, come on, what did he think was going to happen?
But yeah, Team Black is not where it's at. They basically sum it up for you in those first what, 5 or 6 episodes of the first season exactly why Rhaenyra is unfit to inherit the Iron Throne. And Viserys was a complete moron and total tool when it came to ruling. Daemond should've been King over him. The Greens aren't much better but actually have a more legitimate claim to the Throne.

When you said that Daemon wants to see himself on the Iron Throne i stopped your video. Daemon was the first to bend the knee to Viserys as king and gain support for him before the Council 101. If he is as evil as you say he would just kill him and press his own claim like Maegor the Cruel did with his nephew Aegon the Uncrowned. No, Daemon never wanted the Throne. I personally support the Blacks. Here's why.
1. As a Targaryen fan i perfectly understand that the Blacks are true Dragons even Rhaenyra's bastard sons. The Greens are Hightowers at their core. The blacks howewer have the Targaryen fire within them thats why their actions are so erratic
2. Old Town was the most important town before the Conquest. Many believed Aegon will make it his capital. So by whoring his daughter in the bed of Viserys Otto and Hightowers would get their own dragons to challenge the Targaryens
3. You called Rhaenyra a liar and a whore in her youth. Alicent and Cole abandoned her because of that. But what were they doing in 2 episodes of season 2? Correct. The very same things they blamed Rhaenyra for and used their Holy Faith to cover up their sins. It looks even more disgusting than Rhaenyra's bastard sons.
4. Greens are boring. Aegon was never interested in power. He loved his dragon Sunfyre, girls in the Red Keep and wine. His mother pressed him to become the king and spoiled him with fear that Rhaenyra will kill him if she becomes Queen. Helaena in the books is a silent mouse not like the other Targaryens. Daeron is not a part of a family drama and starts to play some role in the story only at the start of the Dance. That leaves us with Aemond who is actually an interesting character and has the blood of the dragon. Otto and Alicent are traitors and schemers.
That leaves us with the main quetion - who is to blame for the Dance that in truth ended not only the dragon line but the family itself. Was it Viserys who named Rhaenyra as heir? or perhaps even Aegon the Conqueror or Jaeharyes the Conciliator who didnt establsih the clear line of succesion and the laws behind it? Its a difficult question to answer really. All of them did their part. But the main man behind it all is Otto Hightower who mistook kindness of Viserys and errors of all the past kings in this matter to his family's benefit but at the end it was no benefit for Hightowers at all. You''ll see it if you havent read the book.
