As others pointed out, the writer seem blatantly biased towards the Blacks. They even described Allicent as a "women for Trump type". The same could definitely be said for Rhaenyra. She only cares about her own rights and empowerment, she acts very spoiled and privileged. She can be very manipulative and deceptive. She forgave her husband for murd*ring babies and once asked for a child to be tortured. That's not to say Allicent isn't flawed, either... she absolutely is, as are the Greens in general. I think making both sides equally flawed is not only truer to the books, but it just lets the viewers choose without bias. Let the characters be gray and complex, let the female characters be well written.

alicent was supposed to be a character about duty and sacrifice and then all of a sudden shes flip flopped for no real reason really, all her values and moral stances completely out of the window. alicent was by far the best and most well written in the show until season 2.

The only explanation is that Alicent is actually scheming still, trying to lure Rheanyra to Kinds' Landing in order to ambush her?

It is not completely ruined, lets wait for season 3, since aegon has escaped kings landing things won't go as smooth has they have promised with each other

Nobody won, even in game of thrones finale that the show love to reminds us, daenerys was killed by a boring bastard and neither of them had (or will have) any kids, bran is the king and arya stark killed the white king. It was all for nothing, in fact, if daenerys was never born the white walkers would have way to destroyed the wall and not crossed, what was the point of all this? The stark won the game of thrones and were the ones that saved the world.

This story was never about what was "right" or "wrong" for the main characters to do, and making it about that is what ruined it from the beginning. Them having their own desires and doing what they can for these desires ("right or wrong") would've been so much more interesting. Alicent was already written that way which was very interesting to watch. While Rhaenyra was being set up for that. By the the end of s1, u assume the setup is for that-a warring of these two chracteres' desires (not values) and they doing whatever they can ("right AND wrong") to get those desires. However, by the start of season 2, all that is thrown away. The setup for Rhaenyra's desrires for revenge and her throne, and for Alicent's dersires, to protect her children and put Rhaenyra in what she believes is her place, is all thrown away. Instead, it becomes about who's "good" and who's "bad."

Rhaenyra is just like viserys, he loved rhaenyra, but enough to not marry alicent, rhaenyra loves her kids with harwin, but not enough to not marry daemon. Jace would never sit in throne in peace just like rhaenyra for having brothers. When she marry dameon and have kids with him making them legitimate kids she screw over jace, people would question him sitting on the throne and even possible rebel, they would his youngers brothers. Even if aegon iii and viserys did not wanted the throne and loved his older brothers deeply, their kids would most likely not feel the same way and would want to take the throne for their bastard uncle.

Rhaenyra gets the love of the people when she breaks the blockade and feeds Kings Landing. Hurrah for Rhaenyra! But... That's her blockade - she's the one starving them in the first place.

All fire and blood is 3th/4th hand account of the events, meaning whoever is writting it(which is the transcribe by rr martin) was not present in any of the events as they where happening, this opens the whole series to adaption and interpretation.

I swear these people who claim , "I have read the book..." or start the sentence with "In the books...." can't be taken seriously. Fire and Blood is a fictional history book. The mastors wrote the closest thing to reality. Or one event might have multiple perspective. Something similar happed to Jamie, as Brian completed his pages, and gave him a good ending, and that is how he will go down in the history. The reality was far away from that.

I have no problem towards the ship and its fans, but the real issue with HoTD since first season was the producers and directors wanting to make the Dance about Rhanicent. A bloody civil war that formed Westeros apart and caused the end of the dragons is now reduced to a bizarre star crossed lovers, pathetic in the end

Boundaries? Like when she was only her father's little tool and allowed herself to be convinced to tear an entire continent to pieces so he could play a little 4D-chess? Like when she hated Rhaenyra for the cardinal sin having a personality while she told herself (because she was told by her father) that playing girl scout and being a resentment-ridden wretch was the best thing in life? Like when her own son stripped her of her dignity against her will, by virtue of the very policies the Greens were championing? The moment she says to Orwyle "Nothing is clean, here"---that is when the boundaries start going up, finally (the very concept of cleanliness implies them). Plus in the show she actually has sense enough to not want a whole realm full of misery on account of a spat born of Viserys' inability to stick to a plan, so I like this telling better.

The worst part is that we had a perfect Alicent in the first season, in the second season she seems to be a totally different character.

As much as it truly pains me to say this I have to disagree with you on one thing. Until George finishes the books seasons 7 and 8 and in fact the only canon. Again I really hate that but I just can’t ignore it and it’s why I am especially critical of George these days.

This show was shit after episode 9 of last season.

I think Alicent's arc is more so to take the onus of the dance and fall of house Targaryen off of the women and onto the men in the story and the patriarchal system that has existed for hundreds of years prior. It's clear that you hate Rhaenyra, but you're ignoring the fact that the writers have also decided to paint Alicent in a more likable light.

Alicent appearing in Dragonstone wasn't in the book because it was a secret, so historians didn't know about it, so it wasn't recorded. Honestly it was kinda genius to say that the book is a historical recording and the show is the actual events.

I find it interesting that this show unlike GOT is over the top with it's metaphors, symbolisms, and foreshadowing and yet somehow the story does not have depth. As a result, making the message of the story feel forced and one-dimensional
