Good interpretation of the text and teaching. We must do what Paul does and commend our brothers and sisters when they do a good job. We also need to watch out for the financial needs of ministers of the gospel. And it is worth noting too that these Philippians were brand new Christians, but they didn't use that as an excuse for not stepping up to the plate. I think the "giving and receiving" in v. 15 is probably just about the Philippians' giving financial support and Paul's receiving it.
Jesus Taught us universal principles. Generosity applies to ALL people..not just Christians. Jesus Said..”Give and you shall be Given.” Whatever you Give..will be Given unto you.” And God Knows your Heart..you cannot fool Him by Giving with selfish motives. That will be given too. Being unselfish is something most of us will need His Help with.

At 6:38 you say Troas, but you meant to say Thessalonica (Acts 17:1ff) as the passage you referenced states.
