It's possible that God can answer your question in that way because of your motif behind asking that question. In your heart, the real question you want to ask is "Do I have to be generous if I want to show to other people who God really is?"
There was an old woman in Luke who gave her last 2 minas. Jesus said she was the most generous therefore Jesus said her faith was great!
She had faith and trusted that God would provide. Like the birds, flowers and other living things on earth, they don’t worry about it.

Our mindset is dangerous, we need a spiritual mindset from Jesus.
Such a great reminder to take away from the video! And as stated in Romans 12:2 "And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God."
We ought to take our love for Him a step further and Follow Jesus’ teachings and actually do what he told all those who said loved him and wanted to follow Him ... very sobering because it might make us feel very ashamed that we’re not really truly doing that and many never will.
This is why we must never forsake the reading of scripture everday and meditate on it. Just like Abeni Adeoye so eloquently expressed in the comment below.

You know, we live in a world in which it’s becoming increasingly difficult to be generous. I’ve given to people and families who thought I was only sharing because I pitied and looked down on them. It is pride that causes us to look out for only ourselves, but also which keeps us from receiving the generosity of others. This video has inspired me to give regardless of how it’s perceived, because I want to open up little pockets of Jesus’s Kingdom NOW. I will be actively looking for ways to give my time and resources to those in need. Thank you Bible Project!

I saw a guy on RUclips pretending to be homeless, then actually stopping people walking by and offering them a little money. It was shocking to see how hostile people were. He showed how majority of people who give do it out of selfishness and pride. Not to actually care for the other person.

I've been amazed at the generosity of people in our community. People continue to give and donate and pour into our church ministry and other around our community. Always enough to go around. When we help others God is always working in the background helping and giving more back in return. God is so Good.

Very easy to feel like nothing is ever enough and that you need to hold onto yours instead of being generous. But it’s important to know that our treasures are in heaven not on earth and serve one another in generosity in accordance with Gods will for our lives. Know that I’m serving God when putting myself last in situations brings comfort to my heart because I want to praise and serve Him with all I have and all I am. Not putting anything above Him even if I have nothing. It’s very easy to say all these things because I fall short of it everyday. But God’s grace is sufficient 🤍

My son goes to a catholic school (better education opportunities for his specific needs) so, I have been watching your videos so that I can have a better understanding of the things he will be learning in religion class and such. You've already put out enough content to have me in awe AND effect a change in me. This one...this one is personal and extremely powerful. I teared up. I've grown up in an environment that is absolutely opposite to generosity. Next to fear the second greatest battle I've had with myself is selfishness. ABBA has continually broken that stronghold but THIS video was the ultimate blow to it. I immediately thought about a specific person whom I had struggles being MORE generous to. At this point in my life, I feel like I don't worry that much. I feel like I really do trust in God. I mean if he ensures the fowls of the air, the beasts of the field, the fishes of the sea, and every other thing that creeps and crawls on the Earth is fed, given water, and has shelter. Why should I worry about that? Why should I worry about tomorrow? God loves everyone and every creature he made he would never forsake us. And with that in mind I trust in God. I don't really worry about money either. Sure, money is kind of important, but God is more important, the state of your soul is more important than Earthly riches. So, thank you God for lending me this understanding, and thank you for your mercy.

This has told me a lot that I need to know especially during this time. During this time I have been making sure to help my grandma with everything even more, I have been giving advice to my friends to help them through this, I have been giving my animals some of my food during this time. I have been helping my family to stay safe and not to get sick.

This one is the best teaching so far. Just the simple thought that God gave up everything again and again just to Have me. I love it!! One of my all-time favorite books is called "Always Enough: God's Miraculous Provision Among The Poorest Children On Earth" written by missionaries Rolland and Heidi Baker. That phrase "With Jesus, there is always enough" has stayed close to my heart. I loved that you connected that phrase with Matthew 6/The Sermon on the Mount. We really can trust God to care for us.

Me after reading my bible and some upper room time this evening, and watching this really perfect combination. You really create a great content here, and as a person who appreciate design, I really love your illustration very much! You guys are very talented people (if people don't say that to you often, I'm just telling it again). How the illustration and design interact with the stories you're telling to your audience. I sometimes really inspired by them and try to make poster or design with the theme like that (well I cannot make them moving tho because I haven't learning how to do those thing). Anyway, Thanks to God, for He allows you to keep continue and spread the word to more people. I'm not that very religious myself, I mean I don't really active in church services and praying community. I'm mostly keeping my beliefs personal, living in a country where Christian is maybe just making less than 20% of the population. God bless you all always, and keep the great work up for the greater glory of God.

God, our cheerful host is indeed generous in offering us the bread of life Jesus, the wine of forgiveness, the appetizers of affection, the salads of communion, the fruits of encouragement, the muffins of mercy, the smoothies of grace, the burgers of kindness, the sandwiches of benevolence, the juices of prayers, the cupcakes of providence, the pies of joy, the fried rice of humility, the pizzas of compassion, the chips of selflessness and the mocktails of modesty. Dress code ~ obedience.
With God, there is always abundance. Jesus came so that we may have life...and have it/live it more abundantly.

I've recently gone through my born again experience this past week. And I've felt the Holy Spirit wash over me. Starting from my wrists marching past my shoulders to soften my heart and see Him in everything. I'm so overwhelmed and I don't know what to do. Every time I humble myself to him he responds, and I'm scared. Knowing that he is Good, that God is the Good in the world. The light that brings us all back to Him. I've been feeling like Jonah, and there's no more time left to run away from everything I've ever wanted in life. It's always been Him, I was so blind and self absorbed. I feel like people don't see God because they're constantly breaking the second Commandment, and are making themselves God. The moment I put him first before myself the whole world opened up. We are also lucky to have such a merciful God, how could someone give up His son, Himself, and His Spirit and be considered bad or evil? His ingredients are always fresh, yet many of us aren't following his recipe, and it's the one thing he wants. He knows all, yet we don't listen. How could his children be so blind to his love. Oh God, I pray that we all will find your salvation and allow you to give us the strength to help light up your path in times of darkness for others. May we be your apostles, teachers, leaders in true love, and pastors to help Shepard the lost and damned back to the one true fisher of men. My we let Mercy reign and for all glory to go to Him.

I believe this video popping at my newsfeed wasn't a coincidence. Because I'm one of those who live like there's nothing enough. I've been complaining especially this year because my family is on a financial crisis and my 9 to 5 work couldn't provide much to them 😢
Yet I believe in the power of God so I will resume the practice of generous giving like my Lord did before and continually does.
