You can do a conclusion that’s a call to action. “That’s it! Go write!” I just feel like that’s a bit better than just ending on your last point. I need some type of signal personally that this is the full piece of writing, and yes this is the end. (Especially online) (You could even do “that’s it. Go write!” on every single article and have it be your “signature sign off.”
This is one of the most concise explanations I've seen for how to prep your writing. In high school I always remember being told we had to structure our essays before we started writing, but I don't think I was ever taught properly or for whatever reason none of the instructions ever clicked. I've struggled through more blank pages than I care to remember and only recently started structuring my writing in order for it to be more efficient. Thanks for delivering such great content.
Wow. This is game changing advice. Prepping the page and creating the skeleton first totally makes it easier. Thank you, Cole for the writing tips as always.
Most of us spend time on body of content & leave subject for AI to create, but this makes me realize importance of the subject, and how it should be the main guiding factor for the whole content. Only then we are true to our promise & can create credibly. Thanks for creating & sharing this simple to use & helpful video
Absolutely brilliant session, Cole! The concept of 'prepping the page' is a game-changer for anyone facing the daunting task of filling a blank page. It's fascinating how segmenting the writing process can not only make it more manageable but also significantly improve the quality of the content. Your emphasis on the importance of main points resonates deeply; they truly are the pillars that uphold the value of the piece. I'm curious, have you found any particular method for identifying the most impactful main points? Also, your approach to conclusions is refreshing - the idea of leaving the reader at a 'cliff' to spark their curiosity for more is a clever tactic. Can't wait to implement these strategies in my own writing. Thanks for sharing your wisdom!
I simply paused the video, opened up a google doc on my laptop, and copied it out. Now, anytime I prep the page, this will be my template. I'll Make a Copy and go from there.
