I was locked for 4 yrs before combing my locs out last summer. Took me a month to complete it & after getting knotless braids & being stressed about what to do when I took them out I started my second set 🤣. Locs are literally the style for me for life. I’ve been watching your channel for about 8 yrs now, so I’m interested & tuned into whatever you do next

I feel you, its too much for me to handle. I'm ready to start my locs again. My hairs too thick and I don't even know what to use anymore its mad out here in theses loose natural hair streets 😂

I cut my second set and thought I’d be a loose natural for a min nah after a month I put them right back in my scalp was so sore after not combing for two years and locs make me feel so beautiful and damn near everyone at my job is locd so I had to get them back I’ll always be locd rather I start over again and again 😂

I understand people like change. I will be the first to say I am one of them. I always said I will never get locs for that reason. Well, that was 6 years ago and today I am 5 months loc’d. My only regret is I didn’t get them sooner. I got so tired of trying style after style in order to find that one style I can live with. This is it! I’ll be loc’d in for life! Let it grow, let it grow, let it grow. So much freedom!!!😂🤣😂

I got PTSD watching you detangle your hair. 😫 The hourssssss….maintenance and detangling was the reason, I loc’d my hair over 4 years ago. If I ever get tired of my locs, I will go back to my tapered fro. Change is refreshing and I am sure you will enjoy this journey as much as you did with your last. Happy styling!😊

My natural hair was in the middle of my back for a very long time before I locked my hair I was sick and tired of wash day and after watching you wash your hair I feel traumatized Iol. I've had my hair locked for 2 years waking up not having to stress about doing my hair is so wonderful but I do get wanting change. I did every hairstyle and spent 1000s on hair and products. I did all my own protective styles so that wasn't a problem for me but my hair loves being comb and brush free. You look great either way tho enjoy your journey.❤

Heyyy girl loving the hair ... what I suggest as a former loose natural who used Aunt Jackie products, after you finish raking the product in ... in sections use scrunchies going down your hair while it dries so it stays stretched. Or even those black section clips at the end of your locs will definitely help ...
    You got this !!!!

Sharmel I haven't seen your videos for a while due to the roller coaster of life. I was really caught up the last 3 years blessed to be caring for my Mum full time before she passed of Breast Cancer.. 🥺 I haven't had time for anything else & there's absolutely NO regrets.😭 My Mum was my best friend, she made me promise to loc my hair after she passed & I made sure I did.😓 I kept my promise & began my Braid Loc Journey 14 days after her passing.. That was almost a year ago, it'll be a year on 09/17/23.
During that time is when you Loc'd up, I had no idea. You're a hair maven & look beautiful no matter what you do! I watched your channel prior to the last 3 years like it was an assignment because you always had something innovative going on!!
Sis.. before you loc'd up, hair products were expensive especially being a product junkie, but we'd budget/make excuses to make it work.. Did we not??🤔 However inflation is past the point of frustration!! I'm a DIY Queen more NOW than EVER!! I do L❤VE some Aunt Jackie's products... The ingredients listed in them is what drew me to that brand!!
But here is a brand that I can wholeheartedly vouch for. I L♥️VE brand this brand called Hair Growth Company. They offer a variety of great hair products from shampoos to conditioners (deep/leave in, protein treatments, moisturizers, to hair growth oil, etc. to beard products for men.
(I hope this doesn't embarrass me & works)

May I suggest first using your fingers followed by brush. The brush causes unnecessary breakage. Also, you need a protein treatment to balance your hair, which needs strengthening and then followed by a deep conditioner. Aloe vera is a lifesaver for moisture. Just a quick notation: a lot of hair companies try to make you buy everything in their line, but you actually can use different products with each other. You have beautiful hair. Please remember to pre-detangle your hair before going to the salon and letting them detangle.
