    I always try to buy heirloom and open pollination, but I've got to say there's one tomato that I like growing, and it's a hybrid that is sun sugar😊

    Last summer we explored an old homestead from the 1700's and we found an old Asparagus garden. Heirloom alert, We took some root and hoping to retire this original settlers garden variety. Lots of the settlers in the area were Scandinavian originally.

    One great reason to buy organic seeds is that you are supporting the grower for their time and efforts.

    For this coming season it IS seed evaluation and garden planning time so the value of this information cannot be under estimated. (also it helps explain why some peeps share photos of odd looking produce that looks nothing like the veggie they expected - GMO). Thank you.

    • @sassyherbgardener7154
      @sassyherbgardener7154 Год назад

      ALL home garden seeds are NON GMO, so those home gardeners did NOT get odd looking produce from any GMO seeds.

      She literally explained why that's extremely unlikely.
      What's a lot MORE likely is accidental crosses between different cultivars that end up with funky results (or saving seeds from F1 and getting strange surprise plants) or even natural mutations or malformations which always has the potential of happening.
