ricardo moyano Jesus you guys can’t accept that the world changes. I guess I’m talking to +50 year old men but music evolves and so do people. Get with it. Appreciate what you want and let others do the same.
I don't want good things to be popular. Then all the jerks show up. On the one hand, I agree with you, but on the other hand, I have different fingers.
Kieth Jarrett, Thank you for your playing... You gift poweful and beautiful music to me... Thank you Kieth Jarrett. Thank you Gary Peacock. Thank you Jack DeJonette. I love you.
What a pearl inside this hour an' more than a half! Only this «trio» could perform like this. Such a tenderness inside the rhythm at 01h 14m 40s ---» 01h 15m (*)! Like a soul chanting. Coming from the depths... Life worthwhile when one listen to 'things' like this. From three virtuous - and a genius. [One can ALWAYS find an incantatory passage in almost all performances of Jarrett, alone/solo or not (for instance, at the ends of «Osaka II, Sun Bear Concerts, 1976»...)] (*) 'Song': 01h 02m 41s |----» 01h 17m 13s.
this is by far the best rendition of Billie Holiday's God bless the Child that I have ever heard. The way they transformed it into a low down blues, the way they changed the rhythm

I always like the lines he starts with on the first song of the concert because they are so new and can be understandable by people of today😂😂❤❤❤😅❤❤We will always love the master of improvisation...

I see what you mean, but "Keith Jarrett Standards Trio" is the name of this group; they played and recorded under that name for years. it's like a band name at that point.
That's Keith! It's a well-known idiosyncrasy of his - he sings while he plays, and yes, lots of folks have that same reaction when they listen to his stuff as well. But holy god, the beauteous melodic explosions coming out of that piano render it as just a tiny pebble in the entire experience. One thing it does is it illuminates his approach to line-building, and how he comes up with his phrasing and ideas, delivered in a unique way.
Agreed. It makes his live music unlistenable to me. I cannot stand it and I cannot unhear it. It's like a moustache on the Mona Lisa. Some people would choose to see past it, I couldn't. Same with clicks and pops on vinyl. No thanks, give me pristine digitally recorded FLAC files any day over a vinyl LP. People like what they like, and I don't like this, despite loving the music itself. Virtuoso performances, ruined.

I'm not going to lie. I came here from a cat video compilation.

Only the most pivotal album. It changed the sound of trio jazz for years. Keith and Chick created Brad etc. Such decades of greatness.

Keith Jarrett you are one of my favourites, and when you are with the trio you are special. I love jazz. Congratulations on your performances.
Majestic!! Unforjettable session!! Great musicians!! thank you!! Cheers!
Junto con el trio de Bill Evans, los dos mejores de la historia . Maravillosos los dos standards.
The magic sound! Perfect mind integration!
Great concert !
No me canso de escucharlo!! Gracias.
What a gift! 💛
God, what brilliance!
Estos tres enormes musicos cumplen majestuosamente con el verdadero “desafío” para un musico de jazz que es tocar Standards!!
Yo , les he visto tocar en Madrid ,en el 90, en el teatro monumental y fue sensacional sensacional.
Was lucky to see this trio at The Montreal Jazz Festival they played at Place Des Arts.... Great show! 👍

Sounds like his Backhand days. Fluid and the next note comes out of nowhere and he's changed key 4 times in 5 seconds.

What. Can you say about a great trio like this? Attended a great concert at the Detroit Art Museum with this trio. Very. Good..
My favorit's...(cool)
A Billy Joel quote at the end of the 1st tune! Wow, haha.
Спасибо за информативный комментарий. Нравится, что на протяжении всей импровизации не обрывается логическая нить и ритм сочинения . И это классно!
Late Lament. What piano!!
Gary out here. looking like Richard Nixon
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Keith Jarrett, piano; Gary Peacock, bass; Jack Dejohnette, drums.
God sent three angels to Earth for a while to help us go through the night

Music Mistic.
Take away the grunts, add some harmonic inventiveness, and you'd almost have Karel Boehlee on an off night.
so, who's making these annoying sounds? this "singing" in the background... cant stand it to be honest..
