The reason you couldn't remote view is the IP address is the LAN address not your external address. Try adding the cams again using the external address - obviously check that you have UPNP enabled on your router else add a port forward for the cams.

Hi for this new (white) FOSCAM FN7108EH NVR, which internet browsers work with it on a local network in order to access it ? I'm asking because the only one that works with the older grey version is an old copy of Internet Explorer. I cannot get FireFox tro work with the old NVR FN3109H no more and Chrome and Edge have never worked with it.
Hi, do you know if I can access each camera alone via IP? and if it is possible to add a WIFI (foscam) camera connected wireless via routher but adding the IP address or something to the NVR?
Hi there, can they be mounted on the ceiling without the cameras ending upside down? Looking at how the bend in the bracket works that would be the case. Cheers
Hi, My neighbour has bought , Forcam HD, PROFESSIONAL 720P WIFI SECURITY SYSTEM WITH 4 CAMERAS, Does anyone know where she can get someone to install this system for her? She is a disabled elderly lady in Manchester, Any suggestions? Thank-you .
hey +geek street do you think it's a good idea to have your CCTV system on a different subnet, or should your house all stay on one? I'm not too familiar with running two subnets, that's why I ask.
DildoShwaggins I don't see any advantage of having the NVR on a separate subnet because if you think about it all the camera's go in the NVR and processed directly there and that traffic is not flooding your network in anyway. Hope that's helps.
Hi , how do I get it to stop recording all the time and only in motion detection, I've enable the motion detection but it still records constantly , and also how do I remove footage that's been recorded , thanks
hi thanks for the review. Is it possible to access the single camera from outside the NVR? I mean directly from a web page via http or from a domotics system that embeds IP cameras. My doubt is that the cameras do not have a real IP address but only connected to the NVR (that has its own IP address). Thank you
Thanks for the comment much appreciated. I've reviewed a number of these POE systems and it would seem all the cameras are given an IP address. So in theory you should be able to connect to it independently of the NVR, I have try this with the Annke system when I had a configuration issue.
ok that's a good information because I am going to buy and install a Foscam kit but for sure I will need to access the cameras in other ways as well. I was just scared by another video here in RUclips of a guy showing the kit with a bug at the time the cameras switch from light to IR disconnecting completely from the NVR all the times. So it seems it was its own defect or a later fixed software bug. Thank you!
I'm glad the video helpee. Just some advice test the system out completely before you install and if there if an issue you can return to the seller straight away without any hassle.
Matthew Prestine it's a tough one both are level peg just a different operating system on each. I was just let down on the foacam by the fact I couldn't get the app working via the mobile app.
A brilliant and useful review - will be getting this camera kit, thank you very much for posting.

Keep in mind only 1 camera can be viewed on broken ass software.

What size hard drive does it take? 2.5" or 3.5"?
