  • Well I have my reasons for buying this of course which are explained in the video, but for anyone else, maybe this will possibly either convince you to buy or to forget about the Ninja 636.
    As long as it's useful in some way then :D
    Thanks for watching
    Peace!

    If your thinking of buying this 636 .
    *BE WARNED*
    I can tell you first hand i can't even go out to get a pint of milk on this with my rucksack without racking up at least 40 miles !!!!!!
    Apart from that it's great 👍

    Absolutely love my 18' KRT Edition, heaps of aftermarket parts and race decals on it now and I'm taking it to the track in a couple of months. It's a great bike, sometimes I want a litre bike but I'd never use its full potential. The 636 is lots of fun commuting and the occasional twisties run as well. Good choice!

    Always had honda bikes but decided to buy kawi, cos honda are very... civil bikes. Once i bought kawi am in love with my 636. Now i know how the proper fun feels like. KawiTeam 💚💚

    It was the same choice for me for a long time till the new CBR came out but after testing both I'm still going with the 636 as it's just got it all straight out the box 👍😁

      I do dig the looks of the new cbr but the dash looks dated and in stock setting I can't even look at the dash. The windscreen sits so low that it blocks the view and I am not tall in any way.

    I am also choosing between a MT-09 and a ZX6R! What a coincidence. I’m also leaning towards the 636 just because I’ve never owned a supersport bike.

    • @DanTheTwoWheeler
      @DanTheTwoWheeler  5 лет назад +2

      Yeahh I'd defo say try a supersport if you never have, might not be a long term thing, but defo worth experiencing!

      Agreed. I've put about 3k miles on my 2019 ZX6R and I'm trying to sell it. I absolutely love it but I get uncomfortable pretty quickly. I'm thinking my 2019 Ninja 400 strikes a good enough balance between comfort and sport for my needs. I've got about 3k miles on it as well.

    • @DanTheTwoWheeler

      The new gearing on this still gives the low down torque, much better than other 600s which only give all the power at the top

    Do you think this would be a good bike for a beginner?

    • @ItsBeenDanBefore
      @ItsBeenDanBefore 5 лет назад +1

      Probably not, inline 4s are generally very heavy and too high powered for an absolute beginner. If you want a sportbike for a beginner, good ones to look at would be an R3, Ninja 650 or SV650s (which is what I'm looking at for my next bike). If you want a naked bike, MT07, SV650, Z650 or a Street Triple would be a good choice

    • @diamondheat9
      @diamondheat9 5 лет назад

      Mt07 is still a bit too wild for most beginners who don't know good throttle discipline. All the other bikes are great choices. Do you feel like you will want to update to a bigger bike soon or want a bike for a long time? If you plan to move to larger bikes I would suggest bikes in the 300cc category used. Cheap enough that if you drop you won't feel as bad as a new bike and still with enough motor to get up to highway speeds(75mph+). Also they have pretty good resale value.

      Peak District is on the door step, got some epic roads there. If not then up towards Blackburn or Rivington isn't too bad. Or down to Alderley edge/congleton there's some nice A roads 👍🏼

    • @DanTheTwoWheeler
      @DanTheTwoWheeler  4 года назад

      Hmm no, I've not done a long distance ride on it yet so not too sure tbh. I think I would change the seat if I were to do that 👍🏼

    • @MichaelEdwin1
      @MichaelEdwin1 4 года назад

      DanTheTwoWheeler , figures that the seat is probably not ideal; I have a ninja 400 (entry to sport bikes), and I swapped the seat for touring... but still not easy to do 500km plus in a day...

    I need help with a question, I dropped my 636 today and the engine management light came on, could this just be a sensor picking the drop up and will it go off on its own?

    • @DanTheTwoWheeler
      @DanTheTwoWheeler  4 года назад

      Hmm not sure tbh, think it might be worth getting it checking out. Let me know if you sort it though 😕

    • @derekdelboytrotter8881
      @derekdelboytrotter8881 4 года назад

      @@DanTheTwoWheeler Just came across your video again and remembered my comment. Yes it was just the sensor that picked up the drop and the light went off after it was switched off and restarted once it had cooled down a few times. I replaced the R sticker on the right side because it got scratched from the drop and it was £70 from the dealer, not cheap.
