Honestly yeah, kdramas were special before Netflix and now they feel way too westernized. They show things little by little to make viewers accept them but it's not right to accept them no matter where you stand on the subject. Netflix completely wipes out Korean culture which is what was kind of cool seeing because for some people the whole point in watching a KOREAN drama is to see why it's like there like their culture, different parts of the country etc For me anyway, i feel uncomfortable watching sx scenes and sometimes kissing scenes too but the great thing about og kdramas was that they had a story that flew along but westernized kdramas like extraordinary attorney woo has lesbians in it (which is something obv frowned upon and not accepted there) and in the 2nd ep! They didn't even give the show time before they shoehorned in this gay obsession Netflix has nowadays.
I wish someone would make a stop Netflix Korea in Twitter, they are pushing down their +18 and liberal crap and making longer and longer series, I stopped watching us series because they either dragged the shit out of it if it's popular or just canceled it and the hell with the fans!
I think netflix is spoiling K-drama, slowly introducing obscenity, LGBT agenda and such. I tried to watch several K dramas there, but they seem like pitiful remakes of the original Kdramas, made without western and netflix influence. The originality, charm, innocence are gradually disappearing.
I'm not hating but I have to disagree with this entire video. Netflix had amazing K-dramas long before squid game came out, I personally thought the korean version of Money heist was better, they've done nothing but released original quality k-dramas constantly which are nothing like American shows and honestly I thought Alice in Borderland was better than squid game.
