    This video was so helpful! Very clear and detailed. Is there anyway you could help me troubleshoot my ski? It’s a 2004 gp800 lost all power rpm’s. Now it won’t start and when it does it sounds pretty rough. Any thoughts on what to go through first? I’m going to clean the carbs for sure but I have a feeling it’s a lot more than that.

      I would start with a compression check. If that tests good, checking that you have spark is really easy. If that checks out, definitely rebuild the carbs.

    Hello, I am the owner of a Yamaha Waverunner 2004 water scooter model xa800a-c
    I have heard about several cases of engine seizure due to the failure of this device.
    I would like to make a mixture myself and be sure that nothing will clog, can I add oil to gasoline to be sure? Any tips? And maybe take out the oil dispenser as you think you will advise?

    hello, I have the same type of water scooter and I have a question, does it leave the original oil dispenser or remake and mix oil with gasoline? I am waiting for a response

    Hey man. I just purchased a 2000 yamaha 800 and would like to do a cylinder job on it as well. your videos are great but as you speed up a lose you a few times.
    Is it possible we can talk on phone or something and maybe you can walk me through some steps? I’m willing to pay for your time.
    like mentioned nobody wants to work on these motors but if fixed they have great potential.
    Any feedback would be greatly appreciated! thanks dude

    anyway you could go through the exhaust removal in detail, I have to get to my starter and I believe they are very similar, I have the xlt1200... I'm not a computer guy so this will be my first dive into the jetski and don't want to mess up! :)

      I'm sorry but I've finished this job already - It's quite difficult to film any of the bolt locations on the exhaust. I believe an xlt1200 will have ~12 bolts to remove to get the header off the block, youll have to feel most of them out by hand.

    Hey bro I noticed you don't have a therma sensor on top of the cylinder cover?

    • @Christofo
      @Christofo  4 года назад

      This jetski has never had anything there in the time i've owned it, not sure if only some models had that or what.

    Don't hone the cylinders out ever on the 66 motors. They are a nickasil bore!
