Outstanding video once again. I don't know what RUclips is doing with my feed as you have a heap of videos that I did not see. Hate to miss a single one. Well done on the Mulloway and the epic video.
Thanks so much for watching! Glad you have been enjoying them all! Have you hit the little notification bell 🔔 on our channel? Subscribing these days doesn't automatically notify you when we release a new vid. Cheers!
Bell was already hit, RUclips has been doing some weird stuff to some great channels. Thanks again Jessie and best wishes regarding the possible yacht. It would make for an awesome adventure platform.
Yeah bit of a kick in the guts to hear after all the hard work goes unseen! Thanks for watching everything stay tuned for the yacht series, hopefully before the year is up!
Nice footage and great catches!
Thanks for watching Pier :-)
Those fish look alot like what they call WSB, White Sea Bass, in Southern California.
Yeah they are a croaker also, distant relative. Cheers for watching!
The lucky country. I dream of a fish like that. subscribed.
We are definitely spoilt here! They are my favourite fish for sure, cheers for the sub!
Cool vid guys, gotta get out of the rat race aye!
Absolutely, gotta ease back into it gently.
Perfect sperfishing
Thanks you! Glad you liked it!

Joseph Tien thanks!
Amazing 😉
Thanks Gui!
Noice!!!! Great vid as always:)
Good video please make more spearfishing and cooking)))
Thanks plenty more to come!
Fantastic vid, great scenery and fish, also what type of paint and paper do you use to make the prints? Well done.
Thanks for watching Jason, we use acrylic paint watered down a touch and usually rice paper but we have been known to experiment with old bed sheets and canvas when we run out of rice paper :-P
I got to get me some of that ink and paper, saw some snapper done like that in Ohara
Y'all just got a sub.
Cheers!
The stoke factor was high🙌🏽 they are such an exciting species to see underwater and they are one of the best eaters going I reckon - love it. Great vid. How’d the ab go like that?
Thanks mate, totally stoked, they are a special fish that's for sure! Creamed paua is amazing, wouldn't make it a daily habit though otherwise one might find themselves constantly buying the next size wetsuit...cheers for watching, Michael.
Love the idea of 'printing the fish' - fantastic. Thank you. You can get that great Matisse Structure paint in Metallic gold and silver too... how good would that look?
Thanks it’s a great way to remember the fish! Metallic paint would look amazing, especially on black cloth.
Weapons the both of you 😍😍😍 Wicked shot too, reminds me of the h0tuna days
Cheers mate! Was just thinking if I should edit them again.
If you do it's quite nice to preserve them, so please keep them up online. A little bit of history. Especially those 3min breath holds in the Jew vortexes 🙌🏻 I fondly watched them quite a few years back now.
Slow Diver no worries mate, definitely not going anywhere!
You must try Logan and browns paua (abalony) ravioli recipe. So good.
That sounds amazing, will check it out, cheers for the heads up!
The program is called
A hunger for the wild. Most of them are on here there all good.
Beautiful idea of printing the fish. Do you have a pic or is there a video of the finished pic. Framed? Or just hung up somewhere? Would love to see it.
Thanks haven’t got around to fully finishing it yet but the progress is on my Instagram @underwaterallyoceanart cheers!
That was cosy corner hey?
👏👏👏👏👌
what length is your riffe?
We usually use a Riffe Euro 110 when chasing mulloway 👍
it's danger bleeding fish will attract bull shark
Jasmine Wu we haven't found bleeding a fish attracts sharks any more than the fish struggling anyway, we always bleed out fish to get the best quality fillets to eat. Such a shame to let good meat go to waste by not bleeding.
weird that you guys over east call them jew fish. over here in WA we call them mulloway and have another endemic species actually called dhufish
We call them Mulloway over here also, I think the name came from jewel fish referring to the jewels (otoliths) then in true Aussie fashion made as short as possible lol Jewfish, Jewies, Jew.
Would love to spear a big WA Dhu!
Is this location budgewoi?
What kind of speargun are you using is that a koah
Hi Kenneth, we are all using Riffe Euro 130s. Absolute favourite gun :-)
I always thought it was bad to keep the bloody flesh in the fillets. Was told it spoils the meat.
Hey mate, not 100% if it spoils the meat cause we always cut it off, it certainly tastes like %h!t if you cook it.
@@sailingpopao I thought so too but saw some blood lines in there. I never stored meat until recently and someone told me about why my fish tasted gross. I wasnt cutting all the red out.
Keep up the good videos!
@@Breathlesssight if there is a lot of blood through the meat like in the video we cut it off after its been frozen, when when we are ready to use it. Otherwise you end up with a lot of surface area which isn't ideal when freezing as it's more prone to freezer burn. So yeah, I guess it doesn't spoilt the meat because we freeze it left on all the time but always remove it before cooking.
Bleeding your fish well, is also VITAL to good quality flesh. This will reduce the amount of blood in the flesh.
Did you call the fish Barry ? lol
Rb30ify Barry?
I know the area you speared the fish, that's all....
Do u need regular fishing licences for spearfishing, or is it nessecary to get an extra licence? Im heading to australia this june and I´m a passionate fisherman so let me know if u have any informations for me. Didn´t yet found any on google. Great catches and greetings from Germany!
Thanks for watching! Where in Australia are you planning on visiting? Each state has different regulations, some don't even require a licence. We are in NSW and pay for a recreational fishing licence that covers all recreational fishing.
We start in NT, specifically in Darwin! Greetings mate
