However, some choices made earlier in the game will have some effect on what happens, so some ending choices/interactions/options won’t be seen unless you go back and change earlier decisions. I recently done a “speed run “ clocking in at about 8-9 hours, and so many options weren’t available to me. If I recall, only 4 people took the time to leave me a message. I dont see how. The visual presentation is superb yes but the writing is kinda iffy. Most of the story ends up red herrings, dead ends, which feel useless to experience in 2nd playthrough knowing none it truly goes nowhere. One of the suggestions to help V earlier on is by Silverhand. He saying they should go to mikoshi, which ends up being one of the endings. Yet they shelve that idea until the end of the game which is odd. If they did this right away, the game story would be barely 5 hours. So rest of it feels like tons of filler of an already short main story as is.
I'm having a similar experience, having bought the game on sale in 2022 and just picking it up about a month ago. One thing I've found lacking in the game is the car handling - they all seem to pivot around the center of the vehicle rather than on their rear wheels like they should. Kind of a bummer because this is the rare game I could just cruise around in, but the odd handling is very distracting. The motorcycles seem to handle a lot better than the cars.
I'm in the same situation, bought it at launch, and then just waited to play. After I saw on Twitter there are no more developers working on it according to CDPR's development roadmap. I decided it was probably time to come back to Night City on give it a proper go.
I played this from day one (and I still play it all the time) and I honestly didn't experience any of the bugs other people have. I'm not saying there are no issues, as clearly there are, but I wonder why I didn't while so many other people did? I'm on PC btw.
I played on ps4 pro at launch and I believe sometimes the game saves got corrupted or the loading didn't fully load so all ppl had to do was keep reloading more or die frequently like I did lol.
Finished game on PC first week after launch, no bugs except for super stupid Night City's population. With all patches + DLC game became my favorite till today.
That is the sad thing. PC Release was always fine. All they had to do was to delay the console version. It would have been a good launch. But greed made them do stupid things... I really hope they did learn their lessons.

Good script. I enjoy listening to your voice and your dry delivery of your jokes. I wanna add that I played the game day one on PS4 which was probably the worst version of it and it wasn't as bad as all the youtube videos made it out to be. that said I can say that it was a wise decision of you to wait the 4 years. Subscribed so one day you don't have to sponsor yourself. Keep it going.

You can ride roller coaster. It’s Syed quest there. I played it after phantom Liberty on series x. I didn’t encounter only 3 bugs. At the airport it’s a songbird Mission, oil fields another. The game it’s really packed, crowded. Need a good mono and a very nice processor besides a shit tone of ram. It renders a lot all the time. When I saw some kind off bugs, my cpu was burning, gpu was burning. What I like about the game it’s that every time something else it’s going to happen. You make a choice a witch looked good just to find later that was a bad one. You don’t have the stats, many missions won’t even appear. 7 endings, Easter’s eggs all over the place. Played a lot of good games, but this one really makes you think. I didn’t like it that much the 1st time, was just another slice , shoot, game. Basically I was killing everyone left and right, Didn’t knew how cyberware works and all off that. After a few videos I can say I started to play for real. And something mediocre turned out to be really, really impressive. Like a bunch of games that I really liked. A read dead mixed with watch dogs, mixed with deus ex but more towards mature gamers oriented.
Tbh I just chalked every bug up to the fact that I essentially have a brain tumour. I'm imagining Johnny Silverhand, why can't I imagine a woman T-posing in mid-air.
I waited 4 years as well! Not much out of choice. I was so excited for this game that after and leading up to it's release I had dreams about it. I didn't have a console anymore by the time of it's release I had nothing but a Switch. Used to have consoles. When I got the PS5 it was one of if not the first game I bought. Big fan of Blade Runner and just anything Cyberpunk done right. I saw how buggy it was in the reviews and even tho I didn't have a console yet I was really shocked. Though seems not everyone had that bad of an experience upon it's release or maybe they just didn't see the glitches based upon how they were playing but I'm just guessing on that. Only about 18 hours in and I've barely done any side missions or exploring, though much of it has been exploring. I'm finally experiencing or at least, seeing more bugs in the open world though none of it is frustrating or anything you wouldn't expect. Still hope they continue improving all that they can but even still I'm only now just seeing bugs after 18 hours. It's just about everything that I wanted in a Cyberpunk RPG. While the wait sucked for me, I'm just glad I'm finally playing it and that things have been fixed. Immersion for any game like this is a must and should have the smallest amount of bugs that can take you out of the experience as possible. All of this said, I have zero idea when I'm actually gonna finish this game. It's so jaw dropping to me. If you grew up loving the Cyberpunk genre and haven't played this, you must. RPGs in general but if you're a fan of Cyberpunk this game is just baffling.
The poor launch state of the game has always been over-stated. The game was definitely awful on last-gen consoles and old PCs not using an SSD. I played on a decent PC and while the game was a little undercooked and gad a few minor bugs, I didn't crash a single time. In fact my first crash occurred during patch 2.0, years later. So calling the game at launch "unplayable", a "dumpster fire", "worst game of all time" is just hyperbole.
Yeah the launch was really bad from what I have seen on videos. I got it on PC so while not perfect it was more stable. But I was still very disappointed in a lot of the game. Coming off the Witcher 3, which you could argue is on the Rushmoore of games.
5:27 My girlfriend and I tried playthroughs of both male and female V separately and agreed that, for some reason, female V's voice acting was far superior to male V. The She-V sounded just as good as those all-important female characters in the game, while the He-V sounded like a character who showed up for five minutes in some forgettable side-quest. Still better than Keanu himself, but that's not a high bar.
You're not wrong, I played fem V for my full playthrough and she has some incredible voice acting. which is why I was surprised he didn't like V's personality. Then I realized he was playing as male v
If what you said was true, then how the fuck my first playthrough had little to none bugs on release? Very sad that people had problems, but lets not exaggerate this to some kind of atomic bomb of a disaster. It definitely was a PR disaster. RUclipsrs made a bank on so many ppl just believing in everything they read, even tho a lot of it was exaggeration, mislead and even lies. Its better to learn from your own experience...
the best open world game to me, and morevisually impressive than gta, ill play this over that anyday, outside of online, gta story, is boring honestly and u cant make decisions its linear as hell
Female V has a more robust voice, male V is definitely more stoic. Cool in it's own way but you might find female V more interesting then if you think he's boring
One thing I definitely disagree with. You said you thought the amount of fast travel points was good? I thought they have WAY too many. It's probably because I have a hard time not using an added convenience feature if it's there and actually is more convenient but I found myself enjoying things more after using a mod to customize which fast travel nodes were available. I reduced it down to basically V's apartments and then just a couple of spots per district, all placed far from each other to necessitate travelling through the city. Then because the loading screens suck I included the "GTA V Style fast travel" mod that replaces it with a zoom out to birds eye view before panning over the city to the destination where it zooms in and drops you. The city is just so goddamned pretty and has so much going on in it that you can miss if you blink at the wrong point (let alone fast travelling constantly) that being forced to walk or drive from place to place actually makes the game more enjoyable. And yes, the spaceport and that area of pacifica are the DLC zones. The oil fields are just that, abandoned oil derricks that nobody goes to because there's nothing out there other than rust and cancer.
I mostly drove everywhere. I only used the fast travels when I had to go a long distance and didn't want to wait. In those cases it was nice to be able to find one close by.
There was always an amazing game under the sh*tpile of bugs and glitches. The infinite amount of playthroughs I've played since launch on xbox over the course of 3 years and now recently finally on PC with mods shows CD Projekts dedication to the game and us as players. Shame on the publishers who rushed it and the devs who lied to us, but after everything, it's still a masterpiece at the end of the day.
They literally just washed their hands of it, threw in the towel and let the modders actually fix the game in the future. Fk CDPR. I will not be buying another game from the lying bstrds. What no we should TRUST what they market for whatever next game they try to sell everyone. If you think I'm being harsh this is how anyone would treat individual people if they did less to you. Yet we make exceptions for these game companies like they care about you when it is obvious they don't with the trash they release.
I did the same thing. The worst bug I came across was the audio not playing or playing outta sync. Most bugs i found comical. Not being able to finish a mission wasn't even the worse of it. The pop ins made me drive just a little bit faster lol. It was the best of times and worst of times.

After finishing every mission, every ending, all side missions, every gig, every scanner hustle, every cyberpsycho, everything the DLC has to offer. And I just feel so empty. I miss playing this game, I miss when I hadn’t done everything, I want more Cyberpunk. I love this game.
just replay it, I finished it like 7 times, there are so many good builds, you can play it like an assassin, a hacker, a gunslinger, a blade wielding psychopath, etc.
The cool thing about cyberpunk is that it is extremely replayable. You can make a new save with a new character and make new choices that could potentially make for an entirely new experience. Its impossible to experience the entirety of the main story content without doing 2-4 separate playthroughs, since your decisions can drastically affect what happens.
For this kind of stupid people we will keep having developers promising crap for 10 years and then deliver an "open world" game in which you can't even customize a damn car.
@@terceroido Its not a car customization game tho. Its a story-driven action RPG. Its about shooting the bad guys with cool guns and creating relationships with characters. The cars are there as a means of transportation, not the focus of the game like they are in forza or something
The first 300 hours with a game like this is a taste test. Second playthrough is the first real one. Then completionist playthroughs. Then different ending playthroughs. 2000 hours at least available here.
I did the same. Got the game 2020, returned it after the first few hours because it was bugged to hell. Played in again in 2024 on the ps5 and it was an amazing experience, so glad I waited.
Good stuff. Couple notes: - Phantom Liberty kicks ass - Upgrading weapons is important for iconic ones which have unique perks - Fem V's voice is awesome
But it's kinda stupid that the game can't let the player upgrade all weapons. Why keep it to iconic. I really loved swapping out mods. I play last gen cause of that.
1:19 wasn't just a DLC; it was also the long awaited 2.0 update that CDPR (or so they claimed) said brought it out of "beta". (I don't really agree with it either because they never originally claimed it was in said beta but, cut em, some slack) 4:19 Dogtown (or the little sliver as you called it) literally opens up like an hour or two (four at most; being generous) after dealing with maman brigette and the voodoo boys then songbird calls you right after and the town is entirely open to you but, I digress. 5:47 Maiko is smoking here and the game recognizes that, not a good example of the proclaimed "Delay between dialogue" also, never experienced any delays myself with 1,600 hours but, sure. 7:19 that's not Johnny's Porsche per-say but, I see what you're getting at I'm just nit-picking on this one. All in all; I appreciate that you recognize cyberpunk is in a better place now. Personally, the game literally never crashes on me post 2.0 like... at all. I do not play with mods and it doesn't seem that you do either so, that's weird; probably your specs or something but, either way; well rounded video and review. Maybe give yourself some more time to play it as its worth while, try out some different builds and what not. I firmly believe this game deserves more than 70 hours of playtime
I'm on playstation so maybe that's the difference? The delay was not necessarily that clip, I couldn't find a good example of it in my recordings, but I noticed it a lot. I think I had 2 or 3 crashes, so not a lot over 70hrs, but also not 0. I'm starting the DLC soon and I'm pretty pumped!
@@GreenBananasMan yeah always heard the console versions were a bit buggy so, that makes sense. You'll enjoy the DLC and even the gigs they did in it are so much more thought out and you can tell they busted their asses making it happen. Hope to see more content of cyberpunk come out from you!
Yeah, I've got a couple hundred hours of play on PC. I've seen the delays, but I only notice it when I'm skipping through large chunks of dialogue very quickly.
This is one of my fav genres (love things like the OG Blade Runner, Neuromancer, Deus Ex) and I was hyped for this game, but the launch was genuinely disappointing as someone who played it day one on PC. I'd be inclined to agree with the "beta" metaphor because that's essentially what it felt like to me. It always had the makings of something great but you could easily tell how raw and undercooked everything felt. Stopped playing and came back to it when 2.1/PL released after years of waiting, and I genuinely find this to be one of my favourite games to play. The world building and characters were always amazing but now the foundations upon which they rest are actually stable. Cyberpunk 2077 and No Man's Sky seem to have a lot in common actually with regards to their disastrous releases and then eventual turnarounds. Commendable efforts, but it is sad that this has become an industry standard.
@@GreenBananasMan The delays you've experienced are likely to do with occasional idle animations that kick in every once in a while. It's more noticeable the longer a player selects an answer. Once the idle animation (aka smoking for e.g.) is being played, player's timing on the answer doesn't matter, the NPC will finish its idle animation before proceeding with the scripted one. The good side of idle animations is that it makes NPCs feel natural with their body language. Not particularly new, but CDPR did a phenomenal job on that front.

The DLC is an absolute must to have.
I bought it at release and liked it. I wished for a better crafting system, but the bugs didn't bother me.
@@Eragon7331 Their Shareholders could wait any longer for their sweet-sweet dividends checks.
It wasn't up to the Devs, but they were the ones who got all the death threats from butt-hurt console gamers.
I had ALMOST zero problems from day 1... PC version was pretty well versed. one big issue was trying to bring the game for ps4 and xbone.
So your police AI was working? And the physics were totally fine right? And the navigation radar wasn't useless?
@@lebronjohnson6735 Thank god other games dont have problems like that, bc ppl would shit on them!
I waited too. Happy I did. Just finished my first play through. Excellent game!
Great video! I'm going to play with myself and then buy the game. Ik excited it finally good. I had it on console and played 1 hr before i was done. Going to buy it on pc now. Hope 4070 mobile is good enough.
Good video. Nice balance of humor and commentary.
In Cyberpunk 2077 you play as John Punk
Put in 145 hours since i bought it a month ago. Stayed unpoilt for 4 years!
5:28 I noticed that too with male V, however female V's voice acting is leagues ahead
Man I hate when I read these comments cause I done 4 back to back playthroughs with Male V and loved him. I think I even got watery eyes once cause he was so good for me lol 😆 . . . I'm gonna try play a girl
I disagree completely. Male V is best. Female V has bizarre inflections.
@@ChaseSecurity Better than NO inflection at all!
@@lockekappa500 Male V is a much better voice actor IMO.
I love the game. However, I wanted to role play as Maxtac or Trauma team and stuff. Career paths. Since it's an RPG.
Great review, covered everything I wanted to know about and loved the sprinkled in jokes. Earned another sub!
Oh, you can ride the roller coaster...
Whyyyy did you call the people in the creator "abominations"?
On my PC, the game played fine, from Day 1.
Played on release day, still was as good as it is today, the game was only that bad on old gen consoles...
What are you playing on, on pc the bugs are very rare. that sliver is the expansion - 10/10 - worth it
Tbh I just chalked every bug up to the fact that I essentially have a brain tumour. I'm imagining Johnny Silverhand, why can't I imagine a woman T-posing in mid-air.
Had over 6 playtroughs on Cyberpunk and over 869 hours to on it so far
The rocket launchers are your arms
Heyy! What about coop cyberpunk2077, but in minecraft?
Map name is delta 2160
Nice vid thanks for sharing!....ive been waiting as well!
Bro I waited 4 years too, just finished last week and going through my second play through
You missed out on the clothing mods. And vertical countermass.
I absolutely hate it when people say that they have 'finished' a game. I want' games to have no endings, lolol.
Dammn that analogy 01:08
you can go to the locked areas in the dlc
Played it since launch. Liked it since launched.
Ahhh the sharts, my fav
I can't stop playing it.
Good video. Got my subscribe! Keep it up.
I had this game day 1 it was great than ppl love to over exaggerate
u encountered more bugs in the latest 2.1 version than i ever did in 1.0 :O also you can ride the roller coaster :P
Had the game a week. Had 3 crashes and a few glitches but its been enjoyable tho 😊
this game is not for console. if you want to experience it in all its glory. play it on pc.
This game is super great Now years later it has been fixed .like no man Sky
Craft the lower tier components to make guns and sell them
Yeah the launch was really bad from what I have seen on videos.
Then I realized he was playing as male v
i also just started this month and its worth it i got two 70hrs acc
THATS ABSOLUTELY ATROCIOUS MAN CMON
CDPR: "wHeN iTs ReAdY 💀"
If what you said was true, then how the fuck my first playthrough had little to none bugs on release? Very sad that people had problems, but lets not exaggerate this to some kind of atomic bomb of a disaster. It definitely was a PR disaster. RUclipsrs made a bank on so many ppl just believing in everything they read, even tho a lot of it was exaggeration, mislead and even lies. Its better to learn from your own experience...
I had few problems when it came out. Console guys? Yeah not so much.
When you have 10 million subscribers, I want it to be known that I was the 688th one.
I'll make a note ;)
I have 331 hours and barely had any bugs.
My thoughts are I still see unfinished bs in Cyberpunk.
Good review !
the best open world game to me, and morevisually impressive than gta, ill play this over that anyday, outside of online, gta story, is boring honestly and u cant make decisions its linear as hell
Female V has a more robust voice, male V is definitely more stoic. Cool in it's own way but you might find female V more interesting then if you think he's boring
i just got it 4 days ago.... not bad fr
Its a shame we lost multiplayer because of the bad launch.
Try Phantom Liberty!!
replaying this since release it’s become confusing to play was 10000 times better on release it’s terrible now….not user friendly at all
Dislike for that pineapple on pizza comment, tsk tsk
I'll give them some credit, they at least fixed their game unlike some other companies, but four years?!
Played it on pc day 1 and it wasn't so bad
oh i forgot
console peasants XD
i am proudly the 7th k viewer
You get a lot of thinga wrong in this video
I feel the exact same way and did the exact same thing I probably have over 1000 hours on this game and I've loved every second of it.
@@ShyneSel 934 hours for me. No other game has come close.
Exactly. The game still has bug but now it's way more stable. Thing is cp was always a well written and fun game imo
Skip the first 4 minutes of this video.
Thank you sir
skip the whole video, he's trolling.
1350 hours in! And it is still my favorite game I play every day! It's amazing!
@burnout3722 And I thought I was obsessed.
Wow. . . I'm on 300hrs. I done that in like 3-5 weeks ish. I'm gonna start my next playthrough
That’s impressive
what r u even doing in the game atp
For this kind of stupid people we will keep having developers promising crap for 10 years and then deliver an "open world" game in which you can't even customize a damn car.
Go play the dlc ! fast !!!
Haha I've got it downloaded, I'll start playing it this weekend!
@@GreenBananasMan The story is incredible you'll see, anyways great video !!
@@GreenBananasMan Best Expansion Pack ever.
@@GreenBananasMan If you do use any mods, I highly recommend Enemies of Night City. It changes the AI and everything else and improves it in ways that i wish the development team focused on it really does change to the the gun play in a really really good way
Airport is accessible via the DLC btw, with some a storyline that gives an extensive amount of access to pretty much the entire airport.
The space port and dog town are available with the expansion and you can ride the roller coaster if you search how to repair it
Cool video man! im playing thru it rn too and am legit liking it
Edit; on pc u can drive a 69 mustang... just saying, and its awesome
fyi the porsche u showed in the video isnt the one youre talking about, youll do quests for johnnys porsche, the other you can buy
I did the same. Got the game 2020, returned it after the first few hours because it was bugged to hell. Played in again in 2024 on the ps5 and it was an amazing experience, so glad I waited.
Also playing it for the first time this year. Loving it so far!
Good stuff. Couple notes:
- Phantom Liberty kicks ass
- Upgrading weapons is important for iconic ones which have unique perks
- Fem V's voice is awesome
This is so true, I've played as both and I genuinely prefer Female V. To me it actually felt like her story unfolding.
This. Fem V is the way to go!
Fem v voice is the reason i always pick female player
But it's kinda stupid that the game can't let the player upgrade all weapons. Why keep it to iconic. I really loved swapping out mods. I play last gen cause of that.
Fem V voice is trash and she's always overact
Great game and from the release i didnt had any problems with it except that my graphics card was having a hard time.
Good to know 40 other people had my same instinct: YOU CAN RIDE THE ROLLER COASTER! Glad I was able to shed light on that unique info.
