  • After patches and the Phantom Liberty DLC, Cyberpunk 2077 plays how it should. I didn't expect myself to love this game as much as I did. If you played this, what did you think about it?

Love the video bro also wanted to say that I also primarily play on ps5 but I played this game on pc and it feels 100x better on keyboard and mouse. With the console version the default sensitivity settings make the game feel very slow and sluggish and janky like you said and I beat this game 3 times on console and I recently downloaded the ps5 version to play again and I can’t play this game with controller. If you find some good sensitivity settings please reply with them that would help a lot but the ones I’ve seen on Reddit didn’t really make it anymore better. I went back to playing it on pc and I’m playing it for the 8th time now

The "what works for you" approach is spot on. I've played a sandy wielding solo and a quickhacking netrunner, and the combat feels like it's from completely different games. It goes from a spy movie to a fast paced slaughter, and a surprising amount of dialogue is unique to your approach, with fixers commenting on your stealth and finesse as a stealth netrunner or your brutality as a solo

There are several mods for that, but in my opinion, although the flying cars are very cool, they were never part of the original design of the game, for that there are the AV (Aerodyne Vehicle), that all the time you see them flying through the sky but originally you can't drive them because they are just part of the decoration, but fortunately there is already a mod that allows you to drive all of them and it's great, unlike the flying car mod, with the VA mod you can move around the city with the other VA you see around you and feel good because you are not the only person with a flying ship of that type, you feel integrated, it feels natural.

Regarding Parkour, with the double jump cyberware and the air dash skill is completely enough, as it allows you to jump long distances to move between rooftops and jump between platforms and obstacles, allowing you to climb entire buildings, with a little skill it feels very fun, and even more so when you have the ability to smash enemies from above.

I'm one of those people that often won't finish a game. There's something about this one...I don't know what it is. I've beaten it once and I'm taking my time on my second playthrough. I have 300 hours on it and I'm still playing. I don't have near that many in RDR2, GTAV, Assassin's Creed Black Flag, or even cities skylines (which is easy to lose hours in.)
There's something this game got right that is just magic. I hope they really take their time on the next one and avoid a disastrous launch.

Been playing video games since they began and Cyberpunk 2077 is the best single player ever.
I grabbed Phantom Liberty as soon as it dropped .
I play on PC and never really had a problem, the odd glitch but otherwise seamless.
I’ve played all the profiles but Nomad is my favorite.
Never bored with this game and played start to finish 6 times and have more in game money and icon everything early on in game.
Have all the vehicles and only 6 achievements missing in my steam profile.
Again never get sick of this game and that’s coming from a Battlefield and COD player and I have all of them as well… we’ve come long ways from digital ping pong 🤣🤣🤣

I started playing it for the first time a couple of months ago and was totally blown away. I’ve just started a second play through as it’s so good I’d rather play it a second time than anything else. It’s the first time in a very, very long time I’ve ever cared about characters in a game, hell it’s the first time for a long time I’ve been so immersed I haven’t also been listening to a podcast or watching a YT video in the background but Cyberpunk made me stop that and pay attention.
Also the mods are so good I’ve got a few hundred mods that just take the game up to another level.

i gotta totally agree that at the beginning, as a 36 yo gamer who hasnt kept up with the industry for the last two decades (last console i owned was a ps2, but only owned 4 games, and had a decent gaming laptop in the early 10's, so i got to play fallout 3 and new vegas, mass effect 2, etc, than fell back out of it due to life) , and was reintroduced to how much i loved video games about 3 years ago with a nintendo switch, i felt VERY overwhelmed towards the beginning. especially when they're trying to teach u BD's, hacking, and movement/fighting mechanics. about 10-12 hours in, all the sudden it started to click. now i run around in my file with it feeling more like a scifi GTA style shoot & loot, and i started having alot of fun. cus the way i started my file (female nomad that reminds me of a cyberpunky jen lawrence lol,) i play more of a full out gunner build, just got my first Sandi, lol, but keep wanting to start a new file as a corpo and knowing more how the game works now, making better choices. lol, i missed jackies bike! cus im used to NPCs waiting for me! when he said "'hey, chica!" i just walked around the plaza to check it out... then i hear "oh, well, see ya later then..." and he rode off! now i learn i locked myself from ever getting his bike!!! 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
    edit, spelling.

Loving cyberpunk & Dystopian futures etc. I preordered & played the game the week it came out on my PS4 Pro i was working on my PC at the time. The bugs and glitching were insanely annoying but I pulled thru until the Johnny Helicopter glitch mission which would not let you land and advance. Patched it. But still I became obsessed (completely immersed in the lore of CP not to mention the stories. Years later this game is a dream come true to me as I have been playing since before they even were patching in Edgerunners (which alone is ..aaahhmazing! -Rona Thorne-) I will never forget either the game or the anime. I even play it mainly on Xbox w/o needing mods to enjoy it I often do the same on RDR2w/ PS5

That's right, for example there are random events like Brendan's, (the smart vending machine), or the random person in the afterlife who sees you and asks you for a favor and several others like that, or also all the side jobs, that even though they are marked on the map, you always get a call or a message when you walk or drive near them unintentionally, which makes it feel random.

My absolute favorite game and the only game on my PC and will be for years, started my 4th play through. The downfall off the game for people was the ambition, not a bad thing per say but it should have never been released on last gen consoles, I played day one and never had an issue or bug aside from those that plague all games,. Not bragging or being holier than thou, but I went broke building a top tier PC for this game in 2020 and again in 2023 for PL and I'm glad I did. Still to date and for a long while this will be the pinnacle of modern gaming, story, graphics, writing, etc.

I just picked up the game again recently and installed Phantom Liberty. I’ve reached a ‘“point of no return” at Embers meeting Hanako. My question is if I walk in and progress the main story does it then lock me out of the Phantom Liberty content and other potential endings? ie. should I do the Phantom Liberty content first? It seems weird to me that I’ve got to a point of no return really quickly but have a ton of other stuff to still do!

Started playing the game again on a high end pc that can push ultra everything with graphics maxed out and ray tracing overdrive. Game is beautiful and am having a blast. Im having fun just exploring and looking at stuff with these graphics. Night time when raining is best.

I played thru on launch. The story, sound design and visual design were absolutely top notch and imo made the game worth it. The world building was also very good and managed to hook me in. Sure, I was incredibly disappointed with the final product but still thought it was decent enough to warrant the $60. Should be noted i played on a 2080 super and 3900x and I somehow ran into minimal bugs, so definitely a different story than anyone who played on a ps4 or xbox at the time. I'm on my 2nd playthru right now and the game just about lives up to the expectations I had for it when it came out. It's just so fun now with the re-worked perks, better driving and shooting, and more atmospheric thanks to the re-worked police system and random events that occur. Definitely recommend it.

I'm glad I waited a couple years to try it. Even Witcher 3 had plenty of bugs, but the general lack of polish Cyberpunk suffered from early on was disappointing to hear about. Playing it now, feels comparable to how Witcher was for me.

As a first time player tho, I did think the difficulty would stay on a more even curve. Could be cause I went with a (occasionally sneaky) netrunner though. At first it was fairly challenging tbf.
Then I grinded ncpd stuff for a while, took overclock and got OP as shit. Having 1300 armor and 2 free lives worth of hp to put into my "blood magic" *WITH* 100% crit for said "magic".... it's honestly stupid, guns and melee become effectively optional.

I think there's definitely a fair bit of random encounters leading into questlines in the game. *spoiler warning*
Most of 'em come through text, where people would text you to meet up and explain the mission either through text or in person (Ozob, Lizzy Wizzy, etc.) But sometimes you can come upon random ass quests too like the one time you come across a shady guy who ends up selling you a bd that knocks you out, or the vending machine(brendan i think?) seeming like a one off but turning into a string of missions.

The story seems interesting enough and I’m a sucker for visuals so that’s what makes me keep trying to get into it. I just got past the point of “dying” from Dex and now have Johnny in my head and stopped again. I think I may just need to completely restart a fresh new playthrough because I barely even know the mechanics and systems of the game since it’s changed so much. I partialy don`t agree. Cyberpunk was always good even before patches, played it on premiere and i didn`t seen any bugs or glitches that were all over internet or if something glitched i didn`t even see it as i was imersed in the world. Most of bombing of Cyberpunk was done by people that 1: make content based on negatives as it`s easier to sell it to viewers 2: people that are "oh GTA is 10/10 and everything is shyt!". There is also typical Bethesda BAD Rockstar GOOD mentality, example how Fallout NV is overhyped even when it`s a glitch over glitch, was unplayable on premiere (no one of that NV hypers never mention NV before patches and dlc) and it`s just good old we love NV as it`s not Bethesda, we hate every other Fallout as it was done by Bethesda without anything more rational in that. Same as GTA players hate Cybepunk in same way Minecraft players hate Fortnite Lego or Frontier Elite players hating No Man Sky, it`s that fear that some game might take place of their top favorite. When it comes to glitches if someone wants there is a way to glitch everything, it`s that childish behavior of opening 200 tabs in web browser and complaining that internet is running slow and it`s a internet provider fault, if you search for glitches you will find them.

Disagree. Can’t go clubbing, can’t play anything but a solo, can’t go shopping at random stores, where’s the random encounters. Skyrim took years to reach peak via mods. And personally, the ridiculously huge damage/armour variance is a sick joke. Moreso than Mech 5’s ammo load outs.
