There was a big ceremony when they moved her body from the small chapel to the shrine in 1960 or 1961. It was a wonderful Catholic school for girls, and my years there were precious.

I live in Colorado. I remember us passing the legislation to change the name "Columbus Day" to something else. But they never discussed what, why, who, where, etc. So this is very fascinating to me.
