We’re on the penultimate location in our 3-week, Southeast Asia trip and that has us here in Panglao. But we’re not content to sit on our thumbs all day, so instead, we’re meeting back up with our local guide from yesterday and heading off for a day of island-hopping through some of the most incredible reefs, waters, and beaches of the Philippines. And we’re capping the experience with a hidden gem back at our seaside resort, so be sure to watch until the end.

We’re the Lockwoods: a family with 3 kids, 5 careers, and endless passion for adventure. Two years ago, we decided it was time for Phil's ad agency to abandon the in-person, 5-day workweek. So they 86’d the office and work hours, allowing our own family to start traveling almost constantly. Yes, I'm a Filipino-Canadian and have been to beautiful places/beaches around the world but nothing compares to Boracay, El Nido, Bohol, Cebu, Calaguas Island, etc..... The positive vibes of every Filipinos are beyond compare. Even though our culture were squandered and screwed up by westerners for about 500yrs, I'm looking at the brighter side- that Filipinos are very resilient, patient and cheerful people.. Sadly, not all Filipinos can afford to travel in their own backyard. Your family is such an inspiration to everyone. Love all your content and always looking forward to your next travel episode. Each region has their own cultural identity in terms of food, dialects and culture/traditions. A country that is like a dot in the map but it will blow someone's mind. Hope you consider other destinations like Batanes, Calaguas Island, Banaue Rice Terrraces / Sagada the next time....

@@titosarmiento8333 First of all they’re gorgeous, the sand is smooth and fine, beautiful water colors, perfect water temperatures, and some of the best snorkeling so close to the shore. And most places have gorgeous sunsets!
When you guys started to upload your vlog here in the PH ,I remember that your subscribers were only 11k but now you have 36.6k and the views of all your videos is amazingly high , wow! @@ineedyou1298 It's a beautiful country with beautiful people. The biggest problem is that it is run by corrupt politicians who do nothing but steal money from the people. Economy is so bad so many have to work in other countries to earn a living & feed their families. They have to leave their children & spouses behind! It's so horrible. And yet people keep on electing the same thieves into office. Perfect example of Stockholm Syndrome.
I love it when you guys give a description of actual life for the locals living on the island(s). For example, I didn't know they have their elementary school students get their instruction on the island. Only parents will talk about these issues, ... most other vloggers won't. Thanks, bro! Wishing you and your family be safe, especially with that typhoon roaring across Luzon.

When we went island hopping in Bohol same thing happened, few dolphins came. I was quite sad we only see few of them and worried that they already left. But when we leave the spot and heading to Balicasag Island, they suddenly appeared near our boat doing their stunts, as if they are guiding us on our way to the island. It’s the most beautiful experience ever! Seeing them not in captivity and doing their natural thing, very amazing!
This family really invests in their vlogs. I've been watching them since they came to the Philippines and I must say, they go after the luxurious travel packages and best places to stay. They deserve full support to fund their adventures while we enjoy watching what they do. Kudos to you guys. Your kids are so amazing, by the way. ♥️

I think part of the reason the kids are amazing is that they are learning so much . (Colt is a young me. I loved animals. Still do. In fact, I’m a biologist by profession.)

Thanks for sharing. I'm a Filipino American from California that went to medical school in Cebu in the Mid 90's. I visited and explored with my then girlfriend (now wife) to many of the spots you guys are visiting and then some. Back then, NO ONE was on Balicasag. We used to have that whole island to ourselves and as soon as you dipped your head into the water, you were instantly hit with a plethora of colorful coral and HUGE fish --literally up to 50lbs! I used to surf Siargao back in 94 when there was only ONE resort owned by an Aussie (The Green Room). It would be eerie surfing Cloud 9 and all the other local spots by myself!
Back then, I had been to Thailand and Bali and was truly offended that the Philippines had yet to be "Discovered" as I knew how gorgeous it was!
Obviously, things have changed dramatically!
We were just out there 2 weeks ago and in fact, we were in EL Nido,Palawan at the Seda a week before you guys were out there, I think. Things have gotten so crowded! The Plus on this trip was that the Whale Shark trip was empty --we had all the whale sharks to ourselves! This is my 3rd time doing that trip (we have property in southern Cebu).
Anyways, thank you for profiling the Philippines. You and your family seem to truly appreciate the incredible beauty of that it has to offer! Enjoy and keep having FUN!

If you like Philippine mangoes, you should come back in April and visit a small but very beautiful island in the Visayas called Guimaras. It's the mango capital of the Philippines and some even say that the mangoes served in the White House come from Guimaras. The island's got very beautiful white sand beaches (more beautiful than Boracay, less touristy) with prestine waters. Prices of food and accommodation are super affordable too. And drop by Antique(a province) too for its Kawa Bath. Its a one of kind experience.
The mango in guimaras Philippines is the most sweetest mango in the world.
@@blairclare9482 Really the kind of Mango we ate is called "Mangga Cebu" or "Mango Cebu" which is so sweet and addicting to eat.
Cole really reminds me of myself when I was a kid. I had great interest in all insects and bugs and reptiles. I would read the encyclopedia to find out all the facts about them.

It's been about 10 years since we have been to Panglao. Going to visit a friend there next week. Taking a boat from Ormoc City, Leyte to Cebu City then a boat ride to Bohol.

Been watching your Philippine travel vlogs although i only subcribed recently. I love how you do your contents. You really study the places you visit. Very informative and thank you for promoting what the Philippines can offer. There's a lot the Philippines can offer. We also hope our local Rodeos, An island full of bonsai trees, during summer a lot of provinces/towns celebrate fiestas, you can also visit the philippine eagle sanctuary and crocodile farm in davao. They have nice beaches in Samal island and Mati. BecomingFilipino is a Canandian vlogger who lives in Cateel, Davao. There's a lot more. Hopefully you stay longer and do a vlog on those not so well known but beautiful islands. Have fun and stay safe! More power to you, guys!

What cebu locals do : enjoy strolling in the malls and Philippines 2nd largest mall SM Seaside, drive the transcentral mountain road above the clouds and fogs , in the evening go to mountain view tops for picnic and witness cebu's sea of city light, nightly food market with live band music , weekend beach getaway or waterfall exploration, karaoke and eat lechon
