I am a Study Abroad advisor at a large Midwestern university. Let me tell you, my students whose parents exposed them to overseas travel when they were young are the ones I enjoyed working with the most. They are inquisitive, open-minded and eager to explore and meet the locals at their study abroad destinations. They prefer to hang out with local students. Differences don’t faze them. They understand the platinum rule of cultural engagement - treat others as THEY would like to be treated. If many of our young people travel with parents who encourage them to accept and explore cultural diversity, there is hope for this world. Hopefully, I will witness this in my lifetime. All the best to you!
Elle, this is kind of a missing link in our approach to parenting. We hope this is a better way to educate and raise our kids but we also know there are challenges (friendships back home). Thank you for the affirmation that supports the pros over the cons. Coming from someone in your position, this is great to hear 👍🏼🥰
Well, not all have the luxury or money to travel around the world as a family specially if we belong to 3rd world country like my country the PHILIPPINES, but we have a lot to explore here just like this family were doing... we are very hospitable and family oriented aside from the sceneries surrounding us.. so we welcome everyone... mabuhay

I must say your kids are incredibly smart and well behaved! I’m sure they’re going to grow up as well-rounded individuals w/ a sense of kindness and open-mindedness - exposing them to different people and cultures whilst they’re young is a great way to remove bias and discrimination. Kudos to you both.

Hello! I'm a new subscriber here! I'm a Canadian Filipino born and raised in Canada and I've lived in the Philippines for 3 years a while back. I have been back and forth plenty of times and seen most of the places you have visited already. I just love seeing your family discover The Philippines and the beauty of the culture and the people. I love your genuine reaction to each place your family visits in the Philippines. I wish your family much happiness and prosperity. It warms my heart to see a loving family discovering the world. As parents, you both are doing an amazing job at immersing your children with new cultures and experiences. Kudos to the both of you and happy travelling while you discover the best of what Philippines can offer!

I know what you mean. I have lived longer in the US than I have when I was a young lad growing up in the PHL. I feel a sense of nostalgia and an enormous desire to visit these places you guys have been to!
Another beautiful vlog from you guys! Your experience is such an inspiration! I especially loved how you taught your kids to appreciate rice every time they get to eat it and remember where it came from. You’re basically teaching them to appreciate little things like that no matter what they are. You got me teary-eyed!
As a tourist, Cebu is a better alternative as a jump-off point to the islands (as it's located centrally) and having the 2nd biggest airport in the Philippines. Plus, the islands in and around Cebu are just amazing (Bohol included). Glad that you are enjoying the Philippines!

Your family having a moment of gratitude for where you are and what you are privileged to experience in life at the moment is such a refreshing change of pace... I get it that tourists enjoy any place they visit and experience and I'm not one to say they aren't grateful for the chance.. But to see you guys teach your children to be humble and learn from these places and still enjoy them... That's actually very good parenting...

@@AlwaysBeChanging I don't know if you're still in the country, but maybe for next time. Try Halo-halo, it's a nice dessert. Literally means mix-mix and it's a mixture of ingredients in the same vein as mixture of cultures from around the world. It's got a mix of tropical beans, ingredients, purple yam ice cream, purple yam, leche flan, coconut. Also try lechon, it's suckling pig. Usually, it's like those Hawaiian pigs where you roast it on a fire, but there are restaurants that you can go for where they give 1 person servings. Cebu is known for spicy lechon. You can also try sizzling sisig (try it with an egg and chili), and also sinigang, which is a sour broth that's usually mixed with water spinach, though sour doesn't do it justice.

FYI I am a Filipino. You are a sad person which only see the ugliness around you. Wherever you are in this wprld there are places that are not so pleasing to the eye. Why dont you change your perspective?
OMG. i was gonna suggest you guys visit Bohol after watching the Boracay vid. My gaaaad u went to Bohol. It's beautiful. The landscape is interesting with the chocolate hills and the tarsiers are beautiful. Enjoy!
I'm glad that here in the Philippines they'd experienced to harvest rice. It was an actual lesson not to waste a single grain of rice. And congratulations you finally found a huge gecko ❤️.

Good to show your kids different cultures. They will definitely grow up more open-minded as they experience new things and meet people from all walks of life.
We’re already seeing a difference in them. They’re thriving in every way possible since we started traveling so much. 😊🙏

@@nelarobles In reality, the Philippines is the ugliest and dirtiest country in the world, you know why it's there first that throws garbage into the canal, even dog and cat poop is thrown into the canal, even oil, rice and other things that clog it are also thrown into the canal the second canal is the one who urinates on the side of the wall and then sees a cup urinating on the wheel of the car, is that the Philippines beautiful but the citizens are not disciplined and their public toilets still stink and they spit in reality so few only tourists because of our citizens who are not disciplined and only a few have persevered in the Philippines so actually it is not really good to go to the Philippines it is better to go to Thailand, Vietnam, South Korea, China, Japan and the USA because there are disciplined people that and there is no trash to be seen there must be a country to go to not the Philippines which is really rotten

Thank you for this comment. It really warms our hearts 🥰
WE LOVE YOUR KIND FAMILY HERE IN THE PHILIPPINES, MABUHAY FOR YOU
🙏 thank you!
Salute!!! For visiting our country in the Philippines. More power to your family and Salamat Po!
Let me ask you, are you going to the Philippines, there are many people who don't follow the law, such as it is forbidden to cross the wrong crossing, then there are many people who urinate on the wall and on the tire of the car, many of us. even if they are not squatters, they do that and then at the railway crossing they cross even if there is a barrier because the train is about to pass and then they run to cross just think about it and then the trash and dog or cat poop is just thrown into the canal and anywhere then there are many stray dogs and cats that are left alone to defecate anywhere, that's why the Philippines is the ugliest country in the world, think it's better to go to China, Japan and South Korea, the people there are disciplined and know how to obey the law.
Coolest parents I've ever seen, letting their kids to travel around the world and letting them experiencing different new things. Godbless this Wonderful and kind family ❤️🇵🇭
🥰 Thank you 🙏
Your channel is now so popular here in the Philippines with 110 Million populations. Now I know why. Awesome content
Thank you so much! We're humbled by the generosity and kindness we've found in the Philippines.
Y'all! props to Ate at 11:30 for doing her best with communicating with them. That's really heart warming.
Oh, she was the best! So funny and fantastic English. Such a character 😄 Also interesting to hear her referred to as “Ate” because it was more than a year after this trip before we even heard that term and now we work with our own amazing Ate at our home in Metro Manila ❤️❤️
@@AlwaysBeChanging I've been binge-watching your vlogs from both channels for a while now. I love the dedication your family puts into every video. Also, "Ate" in English means "older sister." The term is traditionally used for siblings or family members as a sign of respect. Nowadays, it's being used to refer to women or girls we see and interact with, even if we don't know them personally and sometimes, even if we're not sure if they're older than the person referring . 😁
I hope to run into you someday around the metro or in BGC! 💟
So proud to see our local rice harvesters being able to effectively communicate with tourists. This is why foreign tourists feel more confident traveling and exploring our islands. Communication is not as big a barrier.

@@regiecadiang2182 Oh honey, you missed the message/point of the comment completely and now you're trying so hard to start an X is better than X argument. This is talking about:
- Filipino COMMUNICATION SKILLS ONLY.
- Applauding simple Pinoys for effectively communicating with foreigners.
- The communication barrier (or lack thereof) attracts foreign tourists.
no comparisons or whatever you came up with in your malicious little head.
@@mimiloves85 In reality, the Philippines is the ugliest and dirtiest country in the world, you know why it's there first that throws garbage into the canal, even dog and cat poop is thrown into the canal, even oil, rice and other things that clog it are also thrown into the canal the second canal is the one who urinates on the side of the wall and then sees a cup urinating on the wheel of the car, is that the Philippines beautiful but the citizens are not disciplined and their public toilets still stink and they spit in reality so few only tourists because of our citizens who are not disciplined and only a few have persevered in the Philippines so actually it is not really good to go to the Philippines it is better to go to Thailand, Vietnam, South Korea, China, Japan and the USA because there are disciplined people that and there is no trash to be seen there must be a country to go to not the Philippines which is really rotten
The kids growing up with a lot of respect and wisdom. Amazing family!

I admire your family esp you for being patient and courteously showing appreciation of every place you visit.. with such a long trip under hot weather, walking up and diwn 200 steps..still not wearing off your smile .. feeling your tiredness.. holding back tears..or whatever..as you vlog.
I am also amazed how your husband gets informed in advance and educate us. Kudos and may you enjoy more the rest of your stay. Keep safe.

We agree! We ❤️🇵🇭
I've seen some travel vloggers that once they've stepped foot inside the Philippines, they decide to stay here because they've fallen in love with the country. And while you have your itinerary around the world, I hope you guys come back a second time some day.
We're already trying to plan another visit in February!
@@AlwaysBeChanging Hope So ✌️🙌👍
@@AlwaysBeChanging I don't know if you're still in the country, but maybe for next time.
