Not sure how many Parsi subscribers you have but I'm one for sure. It was nice to see this vlog. Not many of us vlog Udvada. The last time I visited Iranshah was in 2008 I believe. Oh btw, Congratulations for your felicitation at the event. I would've loved to see you speak more of the Parsi Gujarati in the vlog. I mean you do try to create those Hindi vlogs so try a Gujarati vlog someday. I hope I'm not asking too much. Those who would want to see Sherry do a Gujarati vlog hit the like button.
@@noone-dc4uh Hey, how are you? Good question you asked. Well, actually it's the other way around. Parsis don't have Muslim names, Muslims have Persian names. Let me explain. Islam originated in the Arabian Peninsula (current UAE, Jordan, Bahrain and other countries). Persia (modern day Iran) was ruled by the Persians. However, after the Muslim invasion many Persians fled to India to avoid persecution and forced conversion. The word Parsi comes from the word Persia. Subsequently, many Muslims that settled in Persia accepted Persian language and culture (the same way we adopted Hindu culture). Hence, many Muslims today knowingly or unknowingly keep Persian names. Names like Cyrus, Jehangir, Abbas, Rustom, Sohrab, Feroze, Behrouz, Yasmin, Dilshad, Darius, Yezdi, Eruch, Sharukh (hey that's my name), Parvez, Parizad, Javed, Chirag and many more are Persian names and not Arabic names. To summarize it, Parsis keep Persian names to connect with their Persian roots, Muslims keep both Arabic and Persian names. Parsis don't have names like Mohammed, Aamir, Salman, Ali, Ahmed, Atif, Arif, Abdul, Bilal, Haider, Imran, Irfan, Mohsin, Nadeem, Sohail, Sajid, and many others as these are Arabic names. I hope I was able to answer your question.
This was great showing the Parsi culture and its religious place. But I love the Parsi sarees also and why don’t u make a video on that 🤔 many of us don’t know where to get them
absolutely loved this video!! I'm a parsi myself & I recognize every single place you showed in this video!! so happy to see a vlog from you in Udvada ❤
Hi Sherry...I am so much interested and curious about Parsis as we aren't able to see them around that much because of their low population. Please make vlogs which include the Parsi culture and stuff.
Finally!! It was soooooo good to meet with you and interact with you and you are exactly as genuine and real as your videos. Your parents are the sweetest toooo!!!
