    Old Avestan is quite similar to Sanskrit . There are many many words that are common. The Parsi shlok अशेम् वहू वहिष्टेम अस्ति . अस्ति in Sanskrit means IS and has same meaning in Avesta. Both religions consider fire as sacred. Kusti is similar to जनेऊ of Hindu religion. Lot of examples can be given of similarities. I love our parsee brothers .

      Some other similarities are words like "Dushman" (Dusht-Manush in Vedic-Aryan) which spread to Indian languages thru the Sultanate period.
      The Ottomans absorbed Persian words & spread them to Eastern-Europe, so Dushman appears in the Romanian Anthem in reference to enemies.

      Many parsis avoid marriage or they prefer in the same clan that is Parsi only . Now we know that genetic disorder is very common due to such relationship. They have to accept that if they want to increase their population they should wed in other religions also, as they themselves are of same genes . N have atleast 2-3 kids . They have Parsi Panchayat who takes good decisions n even help the parsis who are not well settled. They can surely do some changes n can give grants towards the education of the kid if parents are not well settled.

    A lot of Indians don't even know that AIT(Aryan invasion Theory) is already outdated and Majority of global academia agrees upon the Migration of Indo-Aryans i.e. IAMT(Indo-Aryan Migration Theory) into Indian Subcontinent. Later they assimilated into other people groups Like Dravidian, Austro Asiatic and even the Mongoloids.
    Avestan and Sanskrit were originally almost like Dialects of a single language Known as Proto Indo-Iranian which later Branched into Indo-Aryan and Iranian subgroups about 2000-1500 BCE.

      @sali_dboy 6 дней назад

      @@Total.Kalesh Of course, Zoroastrianism is the fastest growing religion in Iran. But they have to practice it secretly and remain Muslims on paper.Because there is something in Islam called 'irtidad', which means apostasy, and if you leave Islam for another religion, even for Abrahamic religions, you will be punished and even executed.I mean, it's not like they're looking for you to arrest you or something, but if you want to comprehensively announce that you've abandoned Islam or make propaganda. The government will come for you.And unfortunately, even if we pass this step, Zoroastrians will not accept us because we were not born from Zoroastrian parents. So we have to read the Avesta ourselves and try to figure it out. But there is also a minority of Zoroastrians who are usually in the city of Yazd, they were Zoroastrians since ancient times, but the number of Zoroastrians in Iran is so much more than that, but they are not accepted by the government.

    The founder of Zoroastrianism was Zarathustra who had a Vedic name zaratha usthara or golden camel his parents too had Vedic name Pourushaspa and Dughdova which means male horse and milkmaid. The central belief revolves round Ahura Mazda which in Sanskrit means Asura Medha or a brilliant asura. As per Rigveda the Aryavarta has boundary upto river Kubha or Kabul river towards west and Gujarat towards south with Punjab, Sindh, Haryana and Rajasthan. We called it as Sapta Sindhu and old Avestan or Persian towards other side of Kubha called it Hafta Hindu which is where we got our name.

    Shukla Yajur Veda 26.2
    Priyam mam krinu deveshu piyam rAjashu mA krinu piyam sarvasya pashyat uta sudra utArye.
    .............
    Make me dear to everyone (to Gods, Kshatriyas etc) and both to sudra and an AryA.
    Atharva Veda 19.62.1
    In these mantras the word Arya simply means a noble one. Also note that, in the first mantra Brahmin, Kshatriya and Arya are all mentioned separately.
    So, it implies that it is not necessary for an Arya to belong to a particular caste (varna) like Brahmin or Kshatriya.
    The term Arya was first rendered into a modern European language in 1771 as Aryens by French Indologist Abraham-Hyacinthe Anquetil-Duperron, who rightly compared the Greek arioi with the Avestan airya and the country name Iran. A German translation of Anquetil-Duperron's work led to the introduction of the term Arier in 1776.[18] The Sanskrit word ā́rya is rendered as 'noble' in William Jones' 1794 translation of the Indian Laws of Manu,[18] and the English Aryan (originally spelt Arian) appeared a few decades later, first as an adjective in 1839, then as a noun in 1851.[19]
    Indo-IranianEdit
    The Sanskrit word ā́rya (आर्य) was originally an ethnocultural term designating those who spoke Vedic Sanskrit and adhered to Vedic cultural norms (including religious rituals and poetry), in contrast to an outsider, or an-ā́rya ('non-Arya').[20][4] By the time of the Buddha (5th-4th century BCE), it took the meaning of 'noble'.[21] In Old Iranian languages, the Avestan term airya (Old Persian ariya) was likewise used as an ethnocultural self-designation by ancient Iranian peoples, in contrast to an an-airya ('non-Arya'). It designated those who belonged to the 'Aryan' (Iranian) ethnic stock, spoke the language and followed the religion of the 'Aryas'.[5][6]
    These two terms derive from the reconstructed Proto-Indo-Iranian stem *arya- or *āryo-,[22] which was probably the name used by the prehistoric Indo-Iranian peoples to designate themselves as an ethnocultural group.[2][23][24] The term did not have any racial connotation, which only emerged later in the works of 19th-century Western writers.[9][10][25] According to David W. Anthony, "the Rigveda and Avesta agreed that the essence of their shared parental Indo-Iranian identity was linguistic and ritual, not racial. If a person sacrificed to the right gods in the right way using the correct forms of the traditional hymns and poems, that person was an Aryan."[25]
