Hey... thanks for watching and commenting. Hope you enjoy your new machine. We start every day now with a triple flat white in a big cup! It's a pleasure making coffee now. I always thought cleaning and maintenance would be a pain, along with the machine becoming dirty or smelly but it's not the case. Really pleased with it still. The only small gripe is keep replacing the filter once a month because of London's ridiculously hard water but that's the price I suppose for a hassle free, great coffee. It is better than in the coffee shops, once you get it right. Love it and definitely a great purchase. Thanks again for your support. You can't fill the machine with ground coffee. Ground coffee is a manual process at the time of making. So your machine will be full of coffee beans and this is the default. When you wish to have ground coffee you simply lift the little door on the top to inform the machine. You then proceed to fill the machine, via the door and little shute with 2 Jura spoons max. Close the door, select the coffee type and off you go. Using ground coffee, I've found the machine can sometimes get a bit confused and it sometimes dumps it out but when you get used to the process, it should be fine.
@@RG500_detectorist Jura customer service told me “if the powder chute is opened while the machine is running it will prepare ground coffee over beans.” But my machine (e8 inta) always chooses beans unless it’s completely empty. Must be temperamental like you say.

Good afternoon Victoria from London! You could set the amount of coffee to the largest size, then work out how many seconds of milk you'd need to get to 16oz but then what happens if you want a smaller one one day, you'd have to reset the settings. All I do is set 50ml of coffee in the Flat white setting and 20 seconds of milk. If I want 16oz, which is exactly right for my morning coffee cup then I simply do a flat white x 3! @@victoriazivyon9331 Hi. So I've checked in the expert mode settings and an expresso coffee from the centre spouts can be a max of 80ml (2.4 fl oz). Probably more in the double expresso. The flat white setting can be increased to 240ml (8.4 fl oz) but that would surely be super watery! The best setting I've found is 50ml shots.
