I really really hope he stays healthy. But either way, he just looks like he's having fun. I'm actually looking up when the Angels will come to Seattle right now
I'm not even a fan of baseball at all but found myself watching all videos of Shohei Ohtani and trying to learn the game just to fully enjoy watching him play..lol
Jim Rome is right as far as my watching habits are concerned. I do stop to watch clips and highlights of shohei. I buy tickets to Sox Park when the Angels come to town. mostly to watch Shohei crush

I don't think people understand how damn hard that is to just do one of those things. You have to be blessed by God to do one of those things. A genetic lottery. And this guy does BOTH. He truly is revitalizing baseball. When you got all the national media outlets, including NON-SPORTS groups like NPR talking about him, you know he's doing something incredibly special. At the beginning of the season I bought a hat and put Shohei signature and 17 on the side. Took my dad to go see him play. Yes, we know Trout plays here as well but he had just gotten hurt. I turn to my Dad and say “that’s ok, there’s still Shotime. If he doesn’t hit a Homer then we just missed it by a night”…He hit 2. It was insane.
Shohei is the man. Before him I was like how quarters are there in baseball game ??? now I know it call innings lol anyways glad this guy is making mlb shine

Ironically, he's the best thing to happen to baseball since Ichiro Suzuki. To be honest, I'm not surprised. I've spent a lot of time in Japan and would frequently watch primary, middle, high school, college and pro baseball games. And one thing I noticed...the Japanese players are very fundamentally sound.
He brought me back to baseball as well. After the strikes and the entitled boring players this guy comes along and reminds us of what we grew up with. Very happy about that.
I watched baseball before ohtani and will continue after ohtani. Probably because I'm a dodgers fan and we've been good for the last 10 years. What ohtani is doing is special for baseball.

It's basically just a fun event meant to be a complete service to the fans and, if possible, helps to generate more interest in the sport itself.

How bout them Angels getting rid of Pujols to give Walsh and Ohtani their 2 all-stars more playing time. FINALLY THE front office is 💡
