Thanks for watching! We want people to have a good experience in Bali, Fixed price is easy and comfortable, Once you have a good idea on costs and want to barter head to the streets with non fixed price shops and try your bartering skills. Be warned always start REAL LOW. Fixed price you might pay $1 or $2 MORE BUT ITS NO HASSLE AND WONT BE RIPPED OFF. (tip is if fixed price is 60k Rp you might get it on the street for $4 or $5 but might take you 20 mins to eventually get there, Can be exhausting. ) We always said they have all day to bargain you over $2 extra, We don't. Hope this helps Thanks for feedback
Hi Lynne, These shops are on Jalan Kartika Plaza in South Kuta. Jalan Kartika Plaza is main road, all these shops are within 50m of each other. Some landmarks around these shops are Febris Hotel, Bali Garden Hotel, Dynasty Hotel, Bali Beer cycle office Discovery shopping mall Bali Rani Hotel Discovery Kartika Plaza Hotel Sun Island hotel Kuta In google maps, If you search Bali beer cycle, These shops are all around there. Very easy to find as its the main road in that area. Hope that helps, Thanks for feedback.
@@lynnesmith5912 No but a great store is right opposite KFC in Kuta square called Parta clothing (fixed price clothing store) It will be in one of our upcoming videos, The stores in video are 10-15 min walk from KfC along Kartika plaza heading (main drag) back to airport way. This is link in google maps from KFC Kuta to shops as in video. www.google.com/maps/dir/KFC,+Jalan+BAKUNG+SARI+NO.1+BLOK+C-1-2,+Kuta,+Badung+Regency,+Bali+80361,+Indonesia/Rika+Shop,+Jalan+Kartika+Plaza,+Kuta,+Badung+Regency,+Bali,+Indonesia/@-8.7268825,115.1668964,17z/data=!3m1!4b1!4m14!4m13!1m5!1m1!1s0x2dd23f27aaaaabc7:0x4c72133ebcb77c31!2m2!1d115.17144!2d-8.7226734!1m5!1m1!1s0x2dd246a1ba65e69d:0x7187706d83b64112!2m2!1d115.1675027!2d-8.7310689!3e2?entry=ttu Hope that helps.
Hi Clare, No we don't sorry. We live full time in oz and work full time in oz. We try to show exact location for great shopping in our videos. To give you idea where best to shop from our experiences. Thanks for feedback.
If kids are happy everyone will be happy. If you want easy shopping head to those stores and you will find easy shopping. Hope it helps. Thanks for feedback.
Wonder where the items, say ie the many purses/bags are manufactured? The sport logo gear? The many men’s shirts and the women’s clothing - where are the fabrics produced? Where are the garments sewn?
Great question, I can answer only what I know and have seen. Might be general in nature but here what I know, The lower class quality is sewn and made in Bali, The better stuff some is made in Bali and Indonesia, but also some is imported. The higher quality is generally made in Thailand and China. Also alot of shoes are made in Indonesia, with some from Thailand also Bags same, alot made in Bali and Indonesia with some from Thailand and China. Overall thats the general manufacture overview with some exceptions. As to fabric I gather it would be similar but can not be totally sure. Hope this helps, maybe 1 day we can do a video on the process of manufacture in Bali and show people. Hope this helps. Thanks for feedback.
Can u do some videos of fixed priced shops around melasti sts, and garlic lanes, plus padma st, looking for bo ho tops and shorts dresses, around size 16 tia 🙏🏽
You might have to do the hard yards on this one, we find Legian lack really good fixed price shops especially clothing, there's a few but not alot. As for boho it's bit hit and miss. We don't specialise in anything but we know in our Kuta clothes videos , some of those shops carry them. Its bit of personal taste, one of those you probably just need to walk the streets. Would recommend Parta next to kuta square is a good fixed price shop with some boho but might not to be your taste, video on that store will come up in future. Sorry couldn't be more of help. Thanks for feedback.
You are getting ripped off at these fixed priced shops. $25 for a long dress?!! $15 for the mermaid tail?!!! I’m sorry but you can get these items for half the price (I did last week).
We are always keen for good value, do you have address or names of the shops that your suggesting that we can then visit and see if they are good value? Thanks for feedback.
Any non-fixed price will be better value than the fixed priced stores - you just have to play the game. We found the outdoor stores near Kuta art market were good value as well as some of the stores within the Legian art market entry via garlic lane. If they start at a ridiculous price, just laugh & start walking away, they will quickly come down in price if they want the sale. You will also receive a better price in the mornings if they are yet to make any sales - they tend to be more inclined to come down in price quicker without too much haggling. Another good tip is to have money ready in your hand or get out what you’re willing to pay. Personally I think shopping at these fixed price stores is only driving the prices up elsewhere for items that will only end up shrinking when washed. Each to their own though 👍🏼
Places in that video have some + size. Also in Garlic Lane Legian, Theres Ketuts right near Bali K-Mart and then there's Bali K-Mart and there's another shop when you walk down Garlic lane that caters for + Size, Not sure of name but you won't miss it. Some places will have small amount and might have to just look around, But those places are a good starting point. Hope that helps. Thanks for feedback
I agree, Though 90% of people i pass pay way to much at non fixed price shops. All our family pay way to much (i usually step in and correct the situation) but the video is a good entry level if your coming to Bali and don't have the confidence in know how to bargain and what to pay. I recommend people to go to fixed price get the idea what to pay and then once your upto speed then venture out and bargain. As we have been so many times i have this saying (The sellers have all day to drive you up a few dollars before accepting the price. As tourist we are generally time poor. ) Also i also say they do it for a living, We do it for hobby/Fun , I know who wins. We appreciate the feedback.
Personally I prefer the idea of fixed price it cuts out the I give you special price crap and also the incessant you buy one more or you give me 5000 for me and so what if fixed price may be a dollar or 2 more than haggle price its time saved !
Thats exactly how we think, we barter for fun and they do it for a living, I've always said they have all day to get you up a few dollars and we don't. Fixed price is way to go in our opinion and these shops are excellent to shop at. Thanks for feedback.
Excellent video, makes it so much easy to shop, looking forward to your next video.Thank You

You don’t just want to search for fixed price shops, you need to try to bargain , haggling is part of the Bali culture. You will find bargains…
