Christmas, mercury beads strung for tree garland are very collectable. They are no longer made. Might want to research them so u will recognize what they are. Know them when u see them. Bag'em 🎉

Mikey we have one Goodwill and 3 Salvation Army stores. NONE are anywhere near as large as Goodwills near you. You're looking tired, don't over do it! Make sure you hydrate.

My Goodwill sells jewelry jars, but they ask like $129 for just one of them. I think $89.99 is the cheapest I’ve seen them in the last few years.

I buy Christmas all year round at our thrift shops because the prices go up nearer Christmas. I just store it away. I collect Santa’s.

About 40 years ago, GW started getting wise about the value of antiques. They would pull out all the old/antique stuff and hold an annual antique sale. Before the internet, it was more difficult to identify and price old stuff, so if you knew what you were doing, you could make a killing. Internet/re=sellers have educated everybody; the sources and pickers. So, no wonder it is harder to find good stuff.
I wouldn’t have bought that receiver either. I think you did the correct thing in not gambling $70 on a “maybe it works” possibility.

Hey Mikey, There is good money in some Hallmark Christmas ornaments like the Butterfly and the Birds And some of the Star Trek ones need to be looked up. Something to look out for just as a helpful hint!

Our Goodwill’s and Southern Illinois don’t carry jewelry anymore. I think they just box it all up for their blue boxes.
