Norfolk Girl, Bred and Born here, and my father (though he was a carpenter and joiner by profession) did make my mother both an airer and an ironing board when they married.
@@elegantlyknackeredstyle The airer I remember when I was small but it was falling apart back then, as they took 10 years to get round to having children. The ironing board, she gave to me when I left home, as my first board, but to be fair it was a little small for me, as I am much taller then she was, so I returned it about 10 years later, but by then it was very old, so instead of renovating it, I believe my father chopped it up. So both gone now.
I too love stoneware jars especially to use for flowers when my late husband was working as a chef he used to bring home the Meaux mustard pots when they were empty I only have one now as we sold a lot when we had a shop some years ago 😊
Like the tiles. I started a tile collection years ago, only have a few because other collections were priority! Enjoy your videos, look forward to more. Thanks for sharing.
The tiles will look amazing, so beautiful and totally unique. I don’t think the chip will be all that noticeable once in place but even if it is, consider how sweet/ charming it will be.
Loved your latest haul of treasures. I’m in Australia but I remember my Nan having the same sort of clothes airer and a wooden ironing board, she passed 24yrs ago so unfortunately can’t ask her whether her husband made them for her. I do doubt it though he wasn’t the handyman in the family - that was my Nan 😂😂😂. She used to tell me stories of renovating their house patching walls and do plastering. She’d say I can ice a cake, so patching holes and plastering walls was pretty much the same.
What a super haul which sent me down memory lane. My dear old gran had one of those clothes horses and my dad still has a carpenter made ironing board. When i was little many years ago !!! I.bought one of those silvac vases for my mum which at the time was only pennies. So thanks for a personal trip down memory lane..also well done Rowan for your amazing finds love the gromit mug. ❤
Just so nice seeing you bringing your daughter into the business and teaching her how to look into the camera and talk up, etc. Sweet!❤. Thank you for sharing your haul with us also. The tiles you have picked out so far are going to be such a unique and lovely addition to Star Corner!😁❤ Can't wait to see more of them!
What a lovely selection of things you chose to show us. The tiles are beautiful, you’ll have fun choosing more I’m sure. Rowan’s is doing brilliantly too, what a delightful girl she is. Xx
Oh bless so lovely to see how you styled the stoneware jars. So joyful to know I contributed to your collection and the pewter plate is a fab addition! I love all your finds but especially the plates. So pretty. Super excited you are heading to France. Hubby and I would be keen to hear all about your France buying trips and experiences...maybe one for the couch 😊
I love everything but especially the tiles. The chip wouldn't bother me. I'd nearly chip a couple more just for interest. If a perfect look is required we wouldn't buy vintage me thinks. Good on Rowan....Nice little earner.
Wow!! That's a fantastic haul!!! How cool to run into a subscriber who gave you a vase! Rowan... I loved Garfield eons ago when I was in highschool! And that mug that changes color .. very cool! 😎
Love the finds. Like you I like to buy vintage tins to put my things in. Also vintage dolls and children suitcases for my fabrics. Always forget where I put what in so I to just have to open them all to find my treasures. 😂 My favorite finds were the plates. I just recently found some Windsor cups at the brocante here in France. Not often that you find those here. Rowan is quickly becoming a Starre corner star. She is just such fun to watch.
Beautiful clothes horse, I’ve tried to train my husband and daughter to hang their wet towels but after 27 years it still hasn’t worked, so good luck with that one 🤭
I totally understand that. As we have a log fired range cooker I'm just hoping to use the heat from the range rather than switching the heating on. Possibly totally impractical but I'll give it a go ☺️
@@elegantlyknackeredstyletotally works I use a Sheila's maid over my rayburn and it's wonderful for drying everything in fact I no longer have a tumble dryer.

Thank you for your feedback. I was worried that this is how it would come across, even though the majority of the video consisted of purchases for my home. I don't wish to justify this video but hopefully I can explain my rationale behind it. Firstly, I am trying to help my daughter gain confidence, both on and off the camera. Secondly, I have a portfolio of jobs including social media content creator and antique dealer. I am able to make so many antiquing videos because I am both sourcing wares for my home and for my business. To keep making these videos I do need to sell my wares. When I previously made one of these videos there was a lot of feedback, encouraging me to show both my personal finds + my antique business wares. It also resulted in many sales, as has happened again this time. I have wholeheartedly listened to your opinion and I will consider how I will improve this kind of video in future. I was hoping, by adding chapters, viewers could easily skip past the parts of the video which were not of interest. There is always room for improvement. Again, thank you for your honest feedback.

Use the beautiful tile with the chip and fill in around it with a little extra grout. It will make it look charmingly knackered.
I'm sure it will find a use somewhere
