Young Guns is one of my all time classics. Can quote that flick from beginning to end credits and to this day still quote it regularly. “Many a slip between a cup and a lip.”
Varsity blues is near perfect film for its time and genre on my top 10! Young Guns is awesome same with part 2 Your prob gonna love a brox tale it’s definitely iconic
Awesome blu-ray stack. Here's the blu-rays I picked up in January The Revenant (2015) Prisoners (2013) Paranormal Activity (2007) Carrie (1976) The Super Mario Bros Movie (2023) Alien Collection A Star is Born (2018) Gravity (2013) The Gift (2015) The Conjuring (2013) The Italian Job 2003 (blu-ray steelbook) The Matrix (1999) Shooter (2007) Taken (2008) Usually when I buy blu rays I'm replacing the DvDs I already have
The premise is fun and cool, but the movie is very mediocre. The director is not a good actionfilm director so the movie never takes off. Still it’s worth seeing for the cast, but it could and shuold have been so much better.
When you said Varsity Blues was your favorite sports movie, all I could hear in my head was that quote from Mean Girls about Regina: “her favorite movie is Varsity Blues.” 😂
Gattaca was an important movie for me as a kid; it really helped me get into sci fi and mid budget film and its one of my favorites. So glad to see it get a shout out.
I’m happy to finally hear that someone else isn’t in love with Shaun of the Dead! I’ve always felt the desire to rewatch it simply to see if it clicks for me but just never does (similar to you). Awesome pickups as well!
I just watched A Bronx tale for the first time yesterday on my blurray. I loved it. Also I’d love to see you do westerns. That’s one of my favorite genre.
If you’re trying to broaden your horizons with westerns, Tombstone and Unforgiven are absolutely essential if you haven’t seen them already. Also Silverado and The Quick and the Dead.
Bronx Tale is great. It does have some elements that are just rehashed from Good Fellas and Casino but it does stand on its own as it has a very heartfelt coming of age story at its core. Acting is great all around. Also, I always said that Looper was one of the most underrated movies to me. My favorite Rian Johnson film as well.
Full metal Jacket is amazing. My favorite Stanley Kubrick movie is a Clockwork Orange tho. Ive been wanting to see a review for Clockwork Orange since i started watching this channel. Hope to see one in the future.
I’ve always liked and respected you but this video puts you on my top tier! Judgment Night is indeed a classic as are many of your other videos. Thanks for representing the 90s people ❤
Highly recommend The Big Short if you haven’t seen it and you like Dumb Money. Helps explain the housing bubble crisis in 2007/2008. Excellent cast and explains what happened in a unique and informative way.
Very curious to know what your opinion of Virtuosity is. It's a highly overlooked 90s action movie. It's very dated but still a really fun watch and Russell Crow basically plays the Joker in it. He even wears a bright purple suit! If you haven't seen it it's worth a watch.
Hey Cody! Did you get to see Taking Care of Business starring James Belushi yet? You talked a little bit about it some time ago. I always liked that movie.
I actually watched Chazz Palminteri do the one man show of A Bronx Tale several years ago and it was great. I only just watched the movie version a couple weeks ago. It is good also. Neat story. Oh, and you're right, Face/Off rules!
There's no record of the title live die repeat on the Google search, it just changes to edge of tomorrow, It was always known to me that live die repeat is the slogan 🤷
I have a relatively small collection so far (about 200 movies), and I was curious how you sort your movies? I have so many physical horror films that I put them all in their own “section.” Also wondering how you store your movies?
Based on his Blu ray collection video he sorts his movies in alphabetical order and keeps his TV series in a different section which are also sorted alphabetically. He also has a section for his kids where they have their movies, etc
I can’t wait to check out The Holdovers. Here are some movies I added to my DVD collection recently: Man of Steel Spider-Man Spider-Man 2 The Terminator Terminator 2: Judgment Day Oppenheimer The Matrix Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse Superman: The Movie
Have you actually seen how many movies Ice-T have made?? He's made quite a few (not all that high profiled, but still haha)... MVD rewind has "Mean Guns" with him and Christopher Lambert coming out on bluray in April that's worth checking out, if you havn't seen that one before.
since you said you’re doing western and war movie reviews i would love to hear ur review on “1917”. has that “one shot” movie direction but its none stop action and anxiety after the first 5 mins.
I bought: Oppenheimer (my favorite movie of last year) Edge of tomorrow 4k La la land 4k steelbook (possibly my favorite steelbook in my collection) Midnight run blu ray Dungeons and dragons blu ray The Flash 4k (highly underrated I'm sorry) Blue beetle 4k 17 again blu ray (I bought this after me and my dad found it on Amazon prime and absolutely loved it) Gran Turismo 4k
Cody, you gotta do a full review of The Warriors. Really interested in hearing what you would have to say about it. It's also one of my favorite movies. I've heard rumors that there's talks of remaking it with The Warriors as a girl gang.🎡
I just watched the flintstones again since it’s on Netflix so I showed my 6 year old son the movie it’s a silly movie you can’t take it serious lol it’s a nice movie for a family night with younger kids I also have always liked hot fuzz
My January 2024 haul! - Avatar (Collector’s Edition) 4K - Avatar: The Way of Water (Collector’s Edition) 4K - The Color Purple (1985) 4K - The Holdovers Blu-ray - Looney Tunes Collector’s Choice: Volume 1 (Warner Archive Collection) Blu-ray - Looney Tunes Collector’s Edition: Volume 2 (Warner Archive Collection) Blu-ray - The Matrix Trilogy (The Matrix, The Matrix Reloaded, The Matrix Revolutions) 4K (I’m desperately waiting for Warner Bros. to release The Animatrix on 4K.) - Meet Me in St. Louis (Warner Archive Collection) 4K - Ringu (Arrow Video) 4K
I think its safe to say that since Young Guns is 35 yrs old, that's older then you, spoilers should be OK since you haven't seen this classic.Yes that is Tom Cruise getting shot in the finale,I say this because its listed as one of the quickest filmed cameos ever, less then 10 seconds.
Awesome bunch brother. Can’t wait for the War movies reviews. Saving private ryan is the greatest war movie and one of the best movies ever. Easily in my top 10. Raid is great btw. Fuckin great

A Bronx Tale is pretty good. However, don't let the cover fool you. This is not a typical mobster movie, it's a coming of age movie.
Varsity Blues is easily one of the best comedies ever made.
The Faculty 4K confirmed for this April 🤘🏽
Watch rear window. It’s incredible
I found it unbelievable honestly. Jimmy Stewarts character not wanting to marry Grace Kelly's character??? 😕
Alfred Hitchcock's rear window is an excellent movie you'll enjoy it Cody 😊
Rear window is awesome! When you watch, you can see all of the influence it has had on horror movies today.
Young Guns is one of my all time classics. Can quote that flick from beginning to end credits and to this day still quote it regularly.
“Many a slip between a cup and a lip.”

Surviving the Game is such a great action thriller that doesn't get talked about enough. Fantastic pickup.
The premise is fun and cool, but the movie is very mediocre. The director is not a good actionfilm director so the movie never takes off. Still it’s worth seeing for the cast, but it could and shuold have been so much better.

Gattaca was an important movie for me as a kid; it really helped me get into sci fi and mid budget film and its one of my favorites. So glad to see it get a shout out.
The Raid 2 is arguably the best action movie of all time - highly recommend.
I remember watching The Flintstones in the Theater! I thought it was fun! John Goodman and Rick Moranis were great as Fred and Barney!
I’m happy to finally hear that someone else isn’t in love with Shaun of the Dead! I’ve always felt the desire to rewatch it simply to see if it clicks for me but just never does (similar to you). Awesome pickups as well!

Jamie Kennedy is hilarious in his small cameo in Jay And Silent Bob Strike Back
“There’s no boogers in it, sir.”
Ooooooohhhhh it’s back!!!! Honestly like my favorite video series on RUclips!!
Hey Cody, any plans of doing an updated Blu-Ray collection at some point this year?
I was thinking the same thing
Very likely
I just watched the dead zone last night for the first time huge surprise, super good movie.
Was just watching some of your previous off the shelves episodes lmao
The Weird Al movie is the most accurate biopic ever made. Down to the finest detail
Great pick ups in this episode. Young guns, varsity blues, Bronx tale are all my favorites
Judgment Night received a 2K scan from an IP by Warner's MP and it's a huge improvement in picture quality.
2 Westerns I highly recommend The Good the bad and the ugly and once upon a time in the west
When Cody showed the Prey steelbook I had the same reaction as he did when he took out The Fanatic in horror pack.
Let's goo big fan of Jamie's early movies
Great haul Cody, just watched Face Off again last night, good timing, love that movie!
Bro, The Raid movies are essential, you're going to love them.
Full metal Jacket is amazing. My favorite Stanley Kubrick movie is a Clockwork Orange tho. Ive been wanting to see a review for Clockwork Orange since i started watching this channel. Hope to see one in the future.
A Bronx tale is in my top 15-20 of all time.its a classic.
I’ve always liked and respected you but this video puts you on my top tier! Judgment Night is indeed a classic as are many of your other videos. Thanks for representing the 90s people ❤
I love THE FLINTSTONES (1994), one of my childhood favorites. Kyle Maclachlan and Halle Berry were great too.
Rear Window is my favorite film ever! I hope you like it!
Highly recommend The Big Short if you haven’t seen it and you like Dumb Money. Helps explain the housing bubble crisis in 2007/2008. Excellent cast and explains what happened in a unique and informative way.
Weird Al is one of my favorite recent comedies. I think you should go out and buy "Past Lives" to watch with your wife on Valentine's day
Young Guns is great one of my favorite movies and probably my second favorite western
Cody !! I gotta hunt down that Judgment Night Blu Ray...I agree 100% remember seeing it in theaters with my dad !! Great stuff
It’s on amazon
Man you're gonna love Bronx Tale.
An Alfred Hitchcock review series would be cool. Maybe focus on the more horror/thrillers (he's got a lot of movies).
Rear Window is really good
I was watching old ECW and you look exactly like Tommy Dreamer. Uncanny!
Very curious to know what your opinion of Virtuosity is. It's a highly overlooked 90s action movie. It's very dated but still a really fun watch and Russell Crow basically plays the Joker in it. He even wears a bright purple suit! If you haven't seen it it's worth a watch.

Great haul! Love that Point Break steelbook. I will forever champion physical media!
Zippo lighter fluid is excellent for removing stickers, and it doesn't damage the artwork 🙂

Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation is my favorite of the franchise.
Bronx Tail is great!
We need an updated top 50 horror movies of all time or maybe even 100👀
Could we get a spartan ice bath update? Any benefits after a few months?
since you said you’re doing western and war movie reviews i would love to hear ur review on “1917”. has that “one shot” movie direction but its none stop action and anxiety after the first 5 mins.
The Raid 1&2 are fantastic action movies. I hope you review them.
14:32 Neither did I😮
Highlander is a good movie but I think it's one of those movies that should have been a one and done. It really didn't need any sequels in my opinion.
When i think of Jaimie Kennedy, the first thing the comes to mind is the sick, twisted serial killer he plays in Criminal Minds.
Nice shirt Cody, I’m wearing my Number of The Beast shirt while watching this
Anyone know where all he gets his movies? All at Best Buy or some other places also?
I’ve never seen the second half of full metal jacket lol
Love ‘A Bronx Tale’ ; )

For the Warriors, do you prefer the theatrical cut or the 2005 alternate version Cody?
Cody, you gotta do a full review of The Warriors. Really interested in hearing what you would have to say about it. It's also one of my favorite movies. I've heard rumors that there's talks of remaking it with The Warriors as a girl gang.🎡
POINT BREAK!!!!! I don’t know that I knew it was also your favorite Keanu movie. It’s in my top 3 movies of all time, hands down. Adore it 💪🌊🏄♂️

Man, you gotta watch young guns 1 and 2. Best Emilio there is imo. Loads of fun and one liners. 😂
Would you be willing to do a review of The Raid after you see it?
Nice of you to continue giving love to physical media. I am worried about the sate of physical media 😳💔
@justiceflynn6297 Yeah, physical media seems to be dying more and more lately, sucks 😞
Awesome bunch brother. Can’t wait for the War movies reviews. Saving private ryan is the greatest war movie and one of the best movies ever. Easily in my top 10. Raid is great btw. Fuckin great
Hey Cody, How did your dad get The Ref on Blu-Ray?
