I tried that and it does work. You will have to do some editing. So, question: It doesn't create CC subtitling which is part of the stream. It appears to 'burn-in' the cc. You cannot turn it on and off when viewing in RUclips using the [CC] button. Zeus, do you find this to be true? The AI is good at speech rec and it seems to be cloud-powered which makes it faster than if you tried to do that locally. What would be super is if the captioning produced a file that could also become a transcript which could then be merged as a true CC subtitle stream.

You are misinforming. You said the app is free. After spending a long time to add subtitle, when I decided the export it rejected and asked for upgrade, and of course, a paid version. You MUST mention that this app does not have a free version,.
It does. But it’s not too obtrusive. It removes if you upgrade the account. The only other option to subtitle without watermark is using CapCut’s auto subtitle feature. CapCut is a free app for desktop and mobile.

I think I got the answer now, I for one didn’t realise that subtitle can be activated through smartphone and I know that their are lots of people like me who aren’t aware of this hence the subtitle in post which will benefit the smartphone users who aren’t digitally savvy . But if you’re digitally savvy, then u activate it from the 3 dots on the up right of your smartphone phone.

Kapwing offers an affordable product, more so than having a human manually caption the videos. $20 is cheap for what your wanting done.

you don't need kapwing for this, youtube studio does this automatically if you set the video language
