I have a 17 Ecodiesel. My third Ecodiesel. No problems at all. I have achieved as high as 39mpg or 6.8 litres per hundred like we say in Canada. It pulls well and is quiet and clean. You can wipe your finger on the inside of the exhaust tip and not get black. I really like the Ecodiesel.

with all the problems in the past on this engine is the 2017 eco diesel been updated there are a lot of complaints on the engine i have read it is a mixed bag some say no problem and others wow lots trying to get an honest answer

Gary Finnstrom I would get a 5 or even 6 year warranty bumper to bumper and just take care of it oil change ever 5000 along with checking everything when you do your oil change. I honestly think if you take care of your vehicle right and drive like a person you'll be fine. Don't do any of that and treat vehicle wrong then don't expect much on vehicle. If you don't trust technology behind engine there proven hemi are good from what I've heard.

My father owned one for 2months.and before it he had a 5.4L ford. It had trouble towing, it felt sluggish and seemed like it had trouble finding a gear easy. Then he sent it back and got a ford with the the 5.0, i think dodge totally failed on their eco diesel
