I love the place more a home rather than a posh restaurant my kind of relaxing afternoon place😊

Yes it was a relaxing casual vibe and the owner was really helpful too. I’ll be coming back in the summer to see what other treats they have. In particular I’m keen to try more of the flaky pastry tarts 😋

Hello Jos, a lovely afternoon tea, well worth a visit. The fruit tea did sound refreshing and morish.

Thanks it was such lovely homemade food and the amazing flaky pastry cases were divine. I’m not usually into the savoury part of the afternoon tea compared to the sweet part, but that caramelised onion tart and the snapper were my top items of the afternoon tea. I plan on going again in the summer with friends and trying more of the owners treats. I’ve since been to the tea store and purchase 5 different fruit teas along with Arabella. It’s my latest obsession working my way through the fruit flavours. Thanks for watching and have a great week! 🤗

Hello Jos! It's been such a long time! The Arabella fruit tea looks and sounds wonderful! The same applies to the sandwiches. I noticed that they are small but have an abundant filling. The basil pesto chicken is a winner. The scone looked gorgeous enough to be eaten on its own. ANY French pastry or cake is delicious! The Battenberg cake sounds and looks too sweet (BTW, what do the English know about cakes or desserts? 😁😁😁) Overall, I think this is the nicest afternoon-tea you ever had. I wish I was there! 😭😭😭 All the best! Claudio. 🤩
PS: What a beautiful voice you have! Is so soft and peaceful. Who needs music?

I ended up buying multiple different flavours of the tea so it’s great to find new brands to try when I go on my afternoon teas. I plan to go back and try other home made treats from Shamrock Cottage and it’s so near to a little beach too. I’ll be there in the summer 🌺

I've watched all your Auckland Afternoon teas .They are very well done Jos . Hard to pick which ones to go to while in Auckland . Give me the best two please .From the vids I'm thinking the Esther & Sofitel . You tell me Myself & two Adult nieces .

Hi, I’m glad the afternoon tea videos has been helpful. I would say the vibe and location along with the food Esther or Hilton as the food and venues are lovely. The location where the afternoon tea is held in Sofitel isn’t amazing and like a breakfast area in a hotel, so not as special. I hope you have an amazing time in Auckland. 🤗

This building was built in 1847 for the fencible corps soldiers coming from the Seven Years War and was a wet canteen as well as a shelter during the New Zealand wars. Very historic building.

Their treats looked great. It would have been more helpful if we were to see the ambience of the place with a bit of the service.

Thanks for watching. I try not to film other guests and the staff unless they’re happy for me to do that as I appreciate not everybody wants to be on YT 🤗
