ERICSDIYGARAGE hey , did you add gear oil after change cv axle ? if you change where spot , can you tell me . this my email so easy to ask you more detail . muhammadshahfiez@live.com
This video was presented perfectly, right to the point with very clear and easy to follow instructions. Absolutely NO music, if I'm watching a tutorial video the last thing I want to hear is damn music playing. He's not on TV hosting of the Oscars, he's doing a tutorial video. If I want to listen to music I'll turn on my radio. You did a great job, I need to replace my passenger side and I to have a 2000 G20. Thank you for listing the part numbers and for sharing.
Thank you so much - your video is the only one I found online showing me a similar model to my 1998 Nissan Primera - brilliant!!! You are a delight to follow, clear narrative, clear images, nice logical plain language - excellent!
You just made my life easier. I've been wanting to replace the CV axle on my 2000 Infiniti G20. Now with your video, I felt like an instant expert. Thank you!
Wow, what a great video! Excellent lighting and camera work/placement, great editing, great voice-over. Clear, concise, to the point. I wish all automotive how-to's were this good. Well done and keep it up!
I know this is an older video but hoping you could help. Going to change the cv axles on my 02 G20. Trans code REF03B. I can't find the correct axle seals for that code.
Thank you for that video. Now that I have replaced the CV axle, I have to top up the transmission oil. Do you know how to do that if the top-up-screw is not possible to be removed anymore? I hard I could do it via the speedometer access point? Thanks!
thank you for watching! When I was looking for rebuild kit I had a hard time finding any that included the CV joints, if it help my vehicle was driving like this for months maybe years and the joint never made and clicking noises.
ERICSDIYGARAGE Mine aren’t making any noise. I did an oil change tonight and noticed that the cv boots on both sides of the car are broken, and grease has flung everywhere. So I’m guessing I should just replace the whole joint instead of just the boots.
@@BikesandBriar if they are not making any noise I wouldn't replace them, just change the boot and add fresh grease it should be fine. In my opinion I would replace the whole unit
Hey Eric, thanks for this great video! Love the straight-to-the-point approach and keep it up man! One question: the two seal part numbers you provided in the description, is one simply for driver side and the other for passenger side, or are both driver and passenger side use the same seal and the two you provided are for different variants of the transmission?
Yo Eric I have a question bro, my driver side cv axle recently popped off it still looks intact tho it didn’t pop off while I was driving I was parked and moved my wheel all the way to the left and I heard a pop so I looked under my car and my axle was hanging. It looks like maybe it loosened over time and popped off? It dosent looked damaged or anything so I was wondering if I was able to just pop it back in?
Yes you can pop it back in and it will be fine. Under normal conditions it should never pop off. I would probably check to make sure that nothing is loose
totally different vehicles if your doing the front it won't have cv axles unless it's all wheel drive. the rear won't be similar it will actually be easier though compared to this the cv axles bolt up to the diff so all you have to do is unbolt them and they come off.
I need a driveshafe axle nissan primera 1999 2.0 benzin automatic . on both the right and the left. Which part of the car can I use? Because I could not earn it in my country, help me pleas
I'm going to the impound today to see a better look at my car , what could it possibly be that I messed up , I know I'm going to have to get an alignment
These instructional repair videos needs less flash and more informative content. EricDIYGARAGE is doing a fine job by revealing tips and tricks, which is crucial for making the repair job more effective (work smarter not harder). Constructive criticism from me: the video should have torque wrench values. Too many vids and backyard mechanics just go by the tighten down until is hard to turn rule and that doesn't fly with me. That's how people strip threads or have things come off (or hear clunking noises).
I hope everyone has an awesome day!
check out this video if you want to replace your steering wheel!

Hey Eric great video, I was wondering were the axle seals the same for driver and passenger side axles? Thanks.

Awesome videos. I appreciate that you don’t have music. Where do you suggest getting the cv joints?

@@ERICSDIYGARAGE so which one should I use for just the base G20?
the one in the video bio is for the g20 base
@@ERICSDIYGARAGE In other words, Trans. code RE4F03A; Converter Housing #3834231X01 for g20 base?
@@jiaweizhang4103 I am having the same problem. What did you end up using? I have an 02 G20 with trans code RE4F03B.

I've found Cardone, SurTrack, YMX, QWP, Generic, GSP, TrakMotive and Omniparts brand axles on ebay. Which replacement brand axle(s) did you go with?

I will re-make the engine mount video this week and I will show you how to replace all 3 mounts.
thnx brather you chanel good and best
ERICSDIYGARAGE aren’t there 4 mounts? Also, if you do the bottom 2 mounts, I recommend changing the crossmember bushings while you’re down there
Great video as usual man! How does it drive now?
xWR3KTx All the grinding and clunking noises went away and it drives & runs smoother as well
Will this be similar process on a q50
