@Matthew Block it depends on the experience you want, if you want a more tame ride/better view the front would be good, but if you’re the type who wants intense the back is good
I work here and the best part is ride night where only employees are in the park 9-1am. I went on the Goliath 15x and only had to wait 30min to get on. This ride is by far the best beside the raging bull. It's amazing
It’s like the classic Schwarzkopf coasters. Shock Wave at Six Flags Over Texas is a great example. Double loop and only lap bars. Nothing beats an inversion with a lap bar
I waited 2 hours for this ride and thought it was worth it. The only thing I didn't like is how short the coaster was, Raging Bull is still my favorite at the park. :)
RMC are fucking maniacs. I love it! I can't wait to see what else they come up with in the future. I think they set a new way of first drops with Medusa Steel Coaster for sure.
Actually, it doesn't. Medusa has a barrel rolling first drop (best way to put it). X-Flight does not. X-Flights drop is similar to the 1st inversion on Goliath.
The scariest thing about this coaster is that it is all gravity based, so when you feel weightless during the ride, it is actually the ride pulling you down. The wheels don't even fully clasp onto the ride. The best way to describe this would be if you were to put a piece of paper on your hand and move your hand around certain directions where the paper is reacting to the force of your hand.
Interestingly, this is more of a front-row coaster. Probably the only disappointment I felt was that the first drop won't catapult you out of the back row like El Toro does, but the rest of the ride kicks its Jersey-ass.
Goliath was a lot of fun.......was more then I expected........The stall was awesome. I think they could have made the track a bit longer....... A lot of land there they could have used. Good enough to call my #2 woodie behind The Beast at Kings Island
I'm pretty much a roller coaster guy for sure! I live within a hour of this particular park and will be riding this ride next week, for all those who question the safety remember this. Statistics show that you have a better chance of getting into a life threatening car crash on your drive to the park then actually dying on the coaster. With that being said I have been on all the rides at the park multiple times and in the rain, safety is the number one priority of six flags and they take it seriously. Plus as technology improves so does coasters. To be afraid is natural, but to think that engineers have created a death trap is ridiculous. I say again safety is the number one priority and you can be assured it is at six flags!!
Other people are comparing it to other wooden roller coasters at other Six Flags.. The thing is that Goliath may not have a big drop but it is steeper than most wooden roller coaster so Goliath beats all wooden coaster!😊🙌🏼
+Mario Rueda What are you talking about "may not have a big drop?" It's drop is very steep from personal experience and it's the tallest wooden roller coaster in the world lmao
I have a question can I film on any new rollercoaster what can I do to be able to do that I always want to do this film on every coaster out there do I need to get there permission to film or do I need to be in the media ?
Drill Man (Jonathan Houston) Bright Man (Andre Redmond) Skull Man (Jacquad Johnson) Dive Man (Gerard Garnett) Toad Man (Jemilah Dobson) Dust Man (Claudio Ortega) Ring Man (Franky Cruz) Pharaoh Man (Lacina Rowe)
Drill Man (Tanika) 🧰 Bright Man (Dada) 💡 Skull Man (Mashari) 💀 Dive Man (Kim Mashari) 🚀 Toad Man (Jhamari Antonio) 🐸 Dust Man (Mashari Jhamari) 🪨 Ring Man (Dada Mashari) 💍 Pharaoh Man (Kymonni) 🟠
When I went to six flags they gave a map of the park and on the back of it, it said that the Goliath was the tallest, steepest, and fastest roller coaster
Is Goliath scary? I've went on raging bull before and it was fun, but I'm still scared to go on Goliath? The main part I'm scared of is the drop, is it as bad as raging bull? Another thing I'm a little bit scared about is going upside down and falling out of your seat! Are the lap restraints secure enough? Thanks!
It is totally fine you have nothing to worry about I just voted today and it was honestly fun the drive wasn't really all that bad it's definitely mind over matter just try and have fun
Does it hit a set of breaks at 1:39? The car doesn't look like it gains enough speed form that hill. It looks like it slows down in that particular spot.
Funny thing is, Son of Beast before it was torn down was 218ft tall...and went 78.4 mph. Faster and taller than this and it was the first wooden coaster to have a loop. So although it is now no longer the record holder I think its deserves an honorable mention to have been bigger and faster than this one that everyone is so excited about.
Jose Gonzalez You won't fall out! Think of all the people who have ridden it with their hands up and haven't fallen out. The lap restraint will keep you secure. :-)
Wow. They didn't need a lot of wood to make this ride. Apocalypse at Magic Mountain is pretty new and they even used more wood than this. I hope this ride doesn't end up falling apart.
And say hello to Twisted Colossus at Six Flags Magic Mountain it will be open next year soon can't wait to ride it its the same look as this ride goliath should be interesting
Sitting in the back of any rmc coasters is the best seat tbh
Niazkilam 98 moi
Niazkilam 98 first cart is the best, but I respect that is your opinion
@Jamir Gordon and you fucking fly over the top of the lift hill it gives so much ejector airtime!
@Matthew Block it depends on the experience you want, if you want a more tame ride/better view the front would be good, but if you’re the type who wants intense the back is good
fr tho the front go so slow- the back is always so much faster
I love back row pov's. they have so much more relative perspective! ~AirtimeDaz~
"I need a soda"... Lol I'd need a fucking drink, blunt, and cigarette after that one!
Write Six Flags, tell them to offer those at the next media day event...
I went on this ride and I closed my eyes the whole entire time, and when I saw this video, I couldn't believe I went on that ride
I work here and the best part is ride night where only employees are in the park 9-1am. I went on the Goliath 15x and only had to wait 30min to get on. This ride is by far the best beside the raging bull. It's amazing
Re: "I need a soda"
What you didn't hear:
Ben: "There's food and stuff over there..." (or something like that)
Me: "I need a soda"
No over the shoulder restraints makes me want to ride this even more.
blasphemer9 it was so much fun
It’s like the classic Schwarzkopf coasters. Shock Wave at Six Flags Over Texas is a great example. Double loop and only lap bars. Nothing beats an inversion with a lap bar
I only trust rides with shoulder restraints
@@peachydls341 same bro
@Christopher Clark no u cant lol
went on it back row and it's was amazing! the drop in the back row feels like you're flying out of your set! best ride in the park by far
Literally the best ride in the park 💕 raging bull and Goliath all the way 👌
I waited 2 hours for this ride and thought it was worth it. The only thing I didn't like is how short the coaster was, Raging Bull is still my favorite at the park. :)
Wasn’t even all the way up the hill when in the back so I freaked out when we all of the sudden got wipped over.
I remember when me and my dad went on this ride one hour on line but it was worth it
The first time i rode it i waited 45 mins and then the other 3 times i rode i waited 2 hours that part suckeddd
First time I road we waited 4 hours lol.
First time I waited (which was today) I waited about 1-5 minutes. I went 3 times.
i predict that six flags magic mountain will get something like this real soon.
And they did its the new twisted colossus
There nothing to hold on to on the ride hands up all the way.
My senior trip was last night at six flags and I rode it a total of 5 times. Can't get enough of that ride!
Maizza Shepard it is a good ride i have a gut felling you drank soda at the park i drink beer
this ride was my first time ever on a rmc i thought the back row would be less intense it literally feels like you are about to fall to your death
I rode Galioth at night on of the best rides I've ever rode
superb coaster. Magnificent first drop
Wow this ride is dope af. The how it turns like that is cool!
I love this coaster!
Omg! This ride is awesome & I love it
i remember going on this, the drop was so scary and i couldn’t breath for like the whole ride. i remember it being a lot faster though
Meg i have a gut felling you had an ice cream at the park
Probably the best pov of a coaster...
Thanks for posting!☺

Pette Josef Ramos all coasters are gravity based...
Back row has got to be insane!
Interestingly, this is more of a front-row coaster. Probably the only disappointment I felt was that the first drop won't catapult you out of the back row like El Toro does, but the rest of the ride kicks its Jersey-ass.
I love the sound of that lift hill.
Goliath is the ultimate rocky mountain construction wooden coaster
Awesome video!!
I love this rollcoster so much
I went on this this summer, it was the best roller coaster ive ever ridden :)
they work so hard on this roller coaster
Count the time from the crest of the lift to the time it hits the brakes. Only 40 seconds long.
I love this ride is my favorite and raging bull too❤💙
Mine is x flight! It's so fun! I also like this one, but not as much as batman.
Goliath was a lot of fun.......was more then I expected........The stall was awesome. I think they could have made the track a bit longer....... A lot of land there they could have used. Good enough to call my #2 woodie behind The Beast at Kings Island
+Screamin Demon beast is 2 over el toro and the voyager what
Wow this ride was amazing! Though I was so nervous when we reached the top.
Does this ride whip your neck? I have some neck issues and a lot of wooden rides do but this just came out.
I love the Goliath jus pt amazing
Six Flags Great America
It was awesome. I sat in the back seat
It looks intense!
No overhead harness…no thank you! 😂😂

+Mario Rueda no
+yugioh guy yes
Johnnie G Outlaw Run and El Toro>this
+Mario Rueda What are you talking about "may not have a big drop?" It's drop is very steep from personal experience and it's the tallest wooden roller coaster in the world lmao
+Joe Coaster I said it may not be high but it has a steep drop and I rode it and its steep af 😂
Can't wait to ride this in July!!! :D
I have a question can I film on any new rollercoaster what can I do to be able to do that I always want to do this film on every coaster out there do I need to get there permission to film or do I need to be in the media ?

Until RMC Mean Streak opens next year the back car of this coaster must have the best single 1st drop of any wooden coaster of all time through 2017.
Me AND my mom didn't want to get on this shit xD we were like some "awww hell no I ain't getting on this shit"
This was in my
When I went to six flags they gave a map of the park and on the back of it, it said that the Goliath was the tallest, steepest, and fastest roller coaster
I still have PTSD after this ride...
rides that go straight into the lift hill are so intimidating to me
Is Goliath scary? I've went on raging bull before and it was fun, but I'm still scared to go on Goliath? The main part I'm scared of is the drop, is it as bad as raging bull? Another thing I'm a little bit scared about is going upside down and falling out of your seat! Are the lap restraints secure enough? Thanks!
It is totally fine you have nothing to worry about I just voted today and it was honestly fun the drive wasn't really all that bad it's definitely mind over matter just try and have fun
*rode it today
Thanks! I rode it and it was really fun. After the first hill it's not so bad :)
Pretty sweet. Shame it's only 41 seconds from when the speed starts increasing at the top of the lift hill until the one course brake run.
1:20 to 1:30 had made me yell “oh, what the f*uck!“ when I rode it with my wife and in-laws. Lol my wife was less than thrilled when I did that.
cried like a baby at the end.
Didn't a wheel get messed up or something? They had to put a train in storage and I thought somebody said the polyurethane lining "came off".
so the turn where you kind of upside down. is that like the turn on xflight?
Vaguely.
Is there like somewhere to hold on to with your hands? Like little bars or something?
Nope, not really.
Oh
Does it hit a set of breaks at 1:39? The car doesn't look like it gains enough speed form that hill. It looks like it slows down in that particular spot.
Nope - doesn't hit the brakes until 1:43.
SFGAmZone Yeah. I watched some more videos and it doesn't show anything there. It just seemed weird how it didn't speed up that much from the hill.
this was my first rollercoster
Si se mira chido it looks cool :-)
does it rattle and shake like most wooden coasters? like do you feel like you were getting whipped around?
Butter smooth.
thank you if you ever go to mount olympus and go on hades 360 its a good ride but it rattles so much it killed my neck and lower back
Sounds like everything at Mount-O.
This ride is on my nope list XD
I hate heights haha
Was that the one in Chicago because I also sat in the back row btw it is way better in the night
I have a question, how you can you record if they dont allow cameras there? I want to try to record it for snapchat one day lol
jaxyhale it was media day. That's opening day for the ride and the one time where they allow the media to record everything.
I love roller costers
This looks better than Kings Island's Beast!
Dinosaur King
Great ride, just wish it had 1 more lap
Wow the upside down part im nervous of cuz i thought that ur gonna fall when u put ur hands up
Jose Gonzalez You won't fall out! Think of all the people who have ridden it with their hands up and haven't fallen out. The lap restraint will keep you secure. :-)
Really cuz I'm lightweight
Jose Gonzalez hahaha you seriously think YOU would fall out...?
Yea
You do realize that they would never build a ride if people were at risk of falling out...
what kind of camera did you use to record this and how were you allowed to?
A Polavision camera surgically sewn to my face.
SFGAmZone lol
have fun
If your going on it, I suggest staying in the back seat. (Alot of people throw up on this ride)
Its fun but short ride wish it was a bit longer.
THAT SEEMS FUN LOL I RODE GIANT AT six flags over Texas and the drop is similar lol
If that ride lasted for a second longer I would have lost my shit
I need a soda...
the back row is actually the best row belive it or not
Scootastic MC yea it is
My favorite coaster. 2nd is Raging bull
crap I didn't know it was like that scary! It scared the crap outta me
Wow. They didn't need a lot of wood to make this ride. Apocalypse at Magic Mountain is pretty new and they even used more wood than this. I hope this ride doesn't end up falling apart.
IIRC: the track itself is structural and provides additional support.
Earlier this morning i got on in about 15 minutes!
What is it like upside down I'm nervous
And say hello to Twisted Colossus at Six Flags Magic Mountain it will be open next year soon can't wait to ride it its the same look as this ride goliath should be interesting
R.I.P headphone users at 1:03
I want to ride this!!!
Going to six flags on Saturday to ride this roller coaster giant and I am super mega extra scared to ride
I feel like riding this but idk I haven't gone on a roller coaster before
DO IT.
See i rode the wildmouse with out the lapbars before and i just hanged on to the handle bar and i remained to the station fine with out one scratch.
no you didn’t.
Did they tear down the iron wolf or demon to build that ride? Looking forward to it, though I really wanna be sure my stuff is secured. :P
Iron Wolf was relocated to SF America in Maryland for the 2012 season. Goliath re-uses its station (which was originally built for Z-Force in 1985).
Thanks for the info. I got to go on it on Saturday, very fun ride. I'm impressed with how they designed it.
no, the Demon is still there. The De ja vu was actually where Goliath is at now, the De Ja Vu torn down in 07' or 08'
sameri tarrer Guess again...
SFGAmZone
lol, I must have said something wrong. What did I say wrong?
