I think it’s overrated when people think completely critically, acclaimed world, renowned bands, or performers are underrated. Dude, just because they’re not still getting airplay. For God sakes they have 19 million listeners on Spotify monthly. Elvis only have 17 million. Now go put on some headphones and discover some more bands that you can claim are underrated. There’s this really funny one named after a bug that many people I’ve heard of. Beetle men. Or something like that

I remember the same, bought this album and how it was such a pleasure...I was a teenager in early 80's. I see my same age daughter singing as well (with our tiny french accent!) lockdowned...mad world...

There’s no way that he wrote this song with his daughter. She’s nowhere close to 40 years old. 😉

My father was also a guitarist for a small Finnish band during the 1970's, he was born in 1953 so bit older than Curt. I know it's nothing compared to Curt and Tears for Fears. Just saying this because I'm musical too and never got to play with him. He was diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia in 2013 and has since been in a nursing home. This video almost brought tears to my eyes thinking about my dad.

I can feel your pain. My father was a journalist in my city, and I also worked for a local newspaper. he also developed dementia and I never worked with him in a newsroom. I know it's different things, music and journalism, but the feeling of not sharing something we love with our fathers, I think it's the same. I hope you, your father and everyone you love are safe during this crisis.

Very cool! I met Curt Smith when I worked as a waitress at a night club in Omaha, Nebraska and Tears for Fears played there. It was truly an honor getting to sit and talk with him. Very respectable man. Talked about his family and living in Bath England. So very cool to see this video!!! You have that talent Diva!! Stay with it!

My God, what a masterful presentation !!!! For those who are a fan of "Tears for Fears" like me, and have been since its creation, seeing a performance like this by "Curt Smith" with his beautiful and super talented daughter "Diva Smith", is to cause an emotion that is difficult to describe in words, mainly for the song itself, "Mad World" is simply a masterpiece of world music, it's chilling, it's timeless...👏👏👏👏👏👏💖💖💖💖💖💖💖🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷

I’m not particularly a Tears for Fears fan yet, even for me, this performance is utterly enchanting. I’m sure Dad won’t mind me saying it, but he was somewhat upstaged by his his daughter! Her harmonies were beautiful and she sang with gentle sincerity and without vanity. Thank you to both of you. I’m not an adoring fan, I’m just someone who recognises and is thankful for simple quality when I see and hear it.
