How to install and use Pure Bluetooth Kit for Honda Odyssey 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010 model years. Using this kit you can take/place hands free calls and wirelessly stream audio. Ordered it on Thursday, it arrived the following Monday, free shipping... This video made the installation 10 times easier, took about 35 minutes to install and worked without a single issue. My wife is very happy with the functionality of both the audio and voice features. Worked with my Galaxy Note 5 and my wife's iPhone 6 plus, included the Y cable for navigation/XM which was a snap to install. Very happy with this purchase.... I'd recommend it for sure!!!

I would recommend testing that it works before screwing everything in :). You will be much happier if you find there's a problem before you get everything back tidy.
Great Video. So good, I bought the product. Install was as easy as it looks in the video. Bluetooth sound was CD quality. Even the microphone sounds great over phone calls! It doesn't sound like you are in a tunnel like most aftermarket products. I really like that it can connect two phones at the same time. I did find that I already had something plugged into the harness port that this product is supposed to use, but everything functions just fine with it unplugged and the bluetooth adapter in its place. I believe it was wiring to control a rear CD changer which we don't have, but comes in the touring model. My wife loves it since we didn't have to switch out the whole radio and learn all new controls. The fact that it integrates with the steering wheel controls is Awesome! Great Product!

Will this also take over other modes (ie. FM radio or CD changer) when a call comes in? Or do you have to already be on CD2 (BT) mode in order for that to work?
you have to be on CD2, your phone is only connected to blue tooth in that mode.
Does the dvd player still work with this?

Get the kit with the Y adapter You Unplug the Nav Plug, Plug in the Y adapter and Plug the nav back into the other plug.
Got this in a few days in Calif.
Install was very easy, took 65 minutes from start to finish, did mic, skipped AUX and USB. My system has the stereo where they ran those wires to, but I just wanted BT music, phone and a mic. Perfect solution. Thanks.

139 is kinda crazy since you can get a radio for that price. For me though I guess I'll invest and just get a $350 alpine. Was hoping this was like 20 to 40 bucks since it's just a bt transmitter and a harness

You want the Mic; its nice hitting the button on the steering wheel, and saying play Mama Kin, and the car say, Playing Aerosmith Mama kin, and the music starts. Also nice to be able to say Call, 123456789, and it cuts off the music, places the call, and then resumes the music when you hang up.
Does it connect to the car speaker js so i can play music using bluetooth?

Not a great module, works about 50% of time only , does not connect everytime. I hoped for some noise cancellation too, but it lacks any and call is noisey on other end.
My 2010 Odyssey has an AUX port already. Do I just skip that part of the process?

I don’t know why it only worked with my husbands phone when he got it installed. And it won’t even show up in my Bluetooth pairing options :( please help! The worst part is we feared it could only connect to one device so my husband deleted it off his phone (unpaired) and now his phone can’t detect it either :(

Thats nice but my '08 has an aux jack and the sound quality is almost always better than with BT.
Does the aux jack allow you to make phone calls though?

I opened mine up and no extra port!?
You would lose the XM radio by using this. If there's no port available, it means XM or some other auxiliary device like a tape deck is already installed, and you'd have to give that up for this kit.
Some of the kits have a y-adapter you Unplug, Plug in the y-adapter, and Plug the other plug back into the other port. I have this in my 2007 LX with Nav, XM, and rear seat entertainment.

O bought this kit, went to install it; but something from the OEM harness is already plugged into the white port on the back of the strereo. what is it? ie, what will I lose if i unplug it? can I still somehow install your kit?
It could be just a pre-wire for XM, you can remove it and plug in the kit instead. Thank you.

Could be for navigation or XM, mine had one as well. Be sure to order the kid for Navigation/XM as it includes a Y cable that allows you to keep what is connected there now plus install the GTA adapter. Very easy to do.

I'm not sure what that is for, but I would still order the kit that includes the Y cable, then you'd simply unplug what is there and re-plug it into the Y cable. Then plug the Y cable into the back of the radio and the GTA device onto the other end of the Y cable. Again, worked very well for me and was easy to install. If you are not feeling up to it then I would say that you take GTA's advice and take the kit to a professional to do it for you.

Just got one for odissey and installed with help of this video. sound is excellent, installed a bit slow cause i put the microphone on the mic slot that the car had. im satisfied with it. only thing is that if i have an ipod wire hooked if the phone ring it doesn't switch automatically on the bluetooth sound. i have to change it manually from the radio. i thing it should change automatically when there is an uncoming call.
I have a question. what about static noise when engine is running and phone is charging?

Is there a way to activate Siri though the car unit?
yes, I just say Siri, play and name a song, and it starts playing, So Cool, or I say Siri call Home, and the music cuts off, and the phone rings, when I hang up, the music starts back, also works on Android, Just Not as well, Siri plays the song every time, about half the time google puts a link on my phone I have to hit to get it to start, The Cool thing about the android, is you can tell it not to lock the phone while it's connected to GTA car kit.
