- Full suspension makes mini off road fun spectacular. Here's a time lapse of a day in the garage making a-arms, a center spool and connecting atv shocks to make a full suspension crosskart. Thousands of builders are taking the plunge into home fabrication and coming out with amazing machines. Powered by anything from a small Harbor Freight generator engine to a full on race bike 4 cylinder engine and Everything in between. All from the chassis designed with home builders in mind and endless possibilities. A sincere thank you to the dudes in garages joining in on this adventure.

So you know where I'm at in my own cross cart build. I've got contractors putting in a base pad for a 10x16 shed in two weeks. =P
That’ll be a good workshop!!!
Anxious to put mine to the test !!
What are those axles from?
What tooth 520 sprocket did you use with gear box and 2:1 reduction also top speed with gear box what diameter tires on drive alxe and RPM @ top speed?
I found my 530 sprocket @ BMI karts out of the state of Ohio sprocket drilled for sprocket hub 3¹/8" bolt pattern to work with sprocket hub from Gopowersports out of the state of Texas.
not sure why these are not more popular
They are getting there 👍
You you sell a premade rear diff ready for axles? Or can you? And how much
I have made some kits for guys and sold them through the KJ Raycing build group on Facebook to guys building a VF-1 or VF-2. Hit me up through there if you need one.
I love this! Definitely gonna buy the plans; will be my first big fab project!!
What is the tube sizes you are using for the frame?
Can one of these be made street legal?
Depending on the state you live in yes. Needs lights turn signals and headlights . Look up vastly builds on RUclips he's got his licensed for the street.
@Adam Larson thank you! I will do that. Do you sell the plans for your 2 seater, and can I put a 1000cc motor in one?
Kj-raycing.dpdcart.com for the VF-2 two seater. I currently have a 1300 hayabusa mounted in mine 🤓
@KJ Raycing thanks, you rock! The plans look great I'm gonna get started on one of these! I appreciate the help!
What's the pros and cons of both suspension setups?
The biggest pro is that you can chose which one you like best for where you are running 😁. It’s simple low center of gravity vs ground clearance. 👍

“AM INTERESTED in design of an electric, chain-driven power base that could drop in to either a horizontal, lawn tractor with PTO & belt-driven transmission, or a designed, RWD buggy. AM 67, LIVING quietly off-grid with PV. I WANT to shop for free (not race). WHAT DO you think? GIVEN YOUR perspective, does it seem possible? THX.” 😐
They make them, they are just really expensive. I keep a watch on electric power systems waiting for the price to come down a bit. If you’re looking for a low power build the chassis with the homebrew spool would be a stellar setup 👍
@@KJRaycing “YEP, THX your differential is a bit stronger than necessary for a buggy that might use a 48V, golf-cart motor. IT’S PRICE & quality however, are good factors.”
