    You seem to know so much about training. Maybe you can help me. I have been looking everywhere I can to try and find a trainer near me who can help me train a dog for service work for two of my kids and even on the websites I have been given I find nothing. Any suggestions? I live in PA. by the way.

      I’m not a trainer myself but I highly recommend @coastal.servicedogs or coastalservicedogs.com they are helping us a lot with our training!

      @Tiny Princess I think they mean more of an emotional support dog for the kids? If not then they would both need their own service dog for separate problems, which would be insanely expensive but worth it if they needed it ofc.

    I have a disability. I love dogs my favorite breed is Yorkshire Terrier. A therapist told me to look into a service dog. I found out collies can be great service dog. The only service dog company that train collies is in Oregon. Let me know about collies for service dogs.

    Can you send me the info you found about collies? I had two strokes when I was a kid. My right side my arm, leg, peripheral viscount has been affected from my strokes. Since I can’t see on my perishable viscount it causes me to have poor balance, affected me to have learning disability. I researched some when Covid first came. I learned I can have a mobility dog. But can I have a mobility dog that also help me with my eye sight and learning disability? I would love to have a collie I love collies more than golden retrievers.

    Did the previous owners crop his ears?

    • @PicksPooches
      @PicksPooches  2 года назад +5

      No! But fun fact that I learned when I got him was that collies often have their ears taped or glued as puppies to help shape their ears! This is completely safe for the puppies and is monitored by the vet we go to!

      @@PicksPooches that's really interesting! I would prefer to have my dog with it's natural ears though if it's safe and monitored by the vet I have no place to judge. still a really neat fact that I didn't know, I wish you guys the best 💞

      It takes a while to train a service dog so some times people start training before the other retires/ you are allowed to have more than one service dog if doing diffrent tasks ect
