That's particularly important because of how different their air movement is. The longest airdodges, a weird arc while jumping, and hability to change momentum.

I don't see myself learning how to play Ness, but watching this video gave me a lot of respect for Ness mains. There character gets hated on from those that dislike playing against this character but little do some of them know that the person playing as Ness has to take in so much info and risky maneuvers to play well.
As a former Ness main, it's really easy. You should actually try to play him for yourself. This guy is talking about how to MASTER him. He makes each character sound hard. I dropped him when I was playing secondary one day and came across a Ness and realized how annoying he was. I just play Greninja now. Trust me, after Kirby, he might be the easiest character to play.
Well I know that Smash has been out for 5 years now but I'm just starting to take it more seriously. I've played Smash games casually with probably under 12 hours playtime on Ultimate. I recently got the game for Christmas and I was playing with Joy Cons for the last few months. Now I got myself a decent Game Cube controller for the switch and I've been re-learning the controls. I used to jump with the left thumb stick now I jump with one of the top buttons on the controller. Anyways, I chose Ness to be my main. He's a lot of fun and I've learned a ton from your videos and other guides. I'm still very much a newbie but I signed up for my first ever local tournament which is in 2 days. I think the best way for me to get better will be to go to local tourney's and learn as much as I can. I very much appreciate these videos! Thanks BestNess!
I was lucky enough to play and buy Earthbound back in 1995 -- the book is in poor shape, box is gone, but I proudly display my cartridge. So you can imagine how overjoyed I was when I unlocked Ness. I was SO happy, he instantly became my new main. I've been playing as the little bastard since 1998, so thank you for this. This video is basically what happens when Ness wraps barbed wire around his bat.
Yeah, I think that Ness gets a lot of unnecessary hate. I'm biased as a Ness main, but I think that people see PK Fire and Back Throw, and think he takes no skill. They forget about the hype and powerful combos that he can do with a surprisingly high skill cap when he's not spamming the side B button. I get it, trust me, but Ness is a lot cooler than people think.
Honestly I don't believe Ness wasn't made to be annoying. Everything from his voice lines being a kid screaming at you, to his recovery being terrible yet kills you extremely early if you mess up an edge guard. Then shit like down smash at ledge and call it "edge guarding"
like is it just me or is like EVERY wifi dk just hardwired the same way? they always approach with dash attack, when the opponent starts shmoovin they stay back and side b, and always. ALWAYS try to go for a spike with fair.
1:20 I knew it, I KNEW IT ! I was watching the video and I was like "wow this montage is amazing, it really reminds me someone" then I paid attention to the music and the front used on the video and I finally understood. Frenzy is such a great editor, ggs ! Let's finish the video now :)
This is possibly the best-produced SSB guide video I've ever seen. Nice work! I might have to switch mains if this is the production quality Nessies hold to!
Not a Ness main but I liked because you put a lot of effort into this video. would recommend this to any news player who is struggling with how to use his special moves accurately.
You see you have simply shown us how to play. You have us the instructions, but how to use ness is up to the imagination. Beautiful guide and I learned some things for sure. Perfect guide.
I have been waiting for you to make a updated guide for so long! you legit covered everything I was really struggling with, Thanks! And bad ass editing
My main is ness since brawl and i really like that a pro player like bestness is teaching us inportant technics as how to recover because (i think) is the most hard move to do correctly... Sorry for my bad english :p
Dude you make it look so easy. N64 ness was my bread and butter. Now I cant land anything. I'm having such a hard time and ness was my only character I ever wanted to play
I main ness and bowser, but this is my dream to be able to use Ness's such great diversity of amazing mix-ups as fluidly as you do. Thank you BestNess I will keep training to get on your level someday!
Dtilt is better than jab, and this only works against half the cast. The other half the magnet might just push them out of reach of the fsmash entirely.
Great job I've been thinking about picking up mess I play him here and there I see the potential but can't get there so I'm hoping this video helps need to learn how to maneuver with magnet
@@aireesespieces I appreciate the advise and I will go into practice mode and try it they magnet stuff is what I need to learn to get some combos going or atleast some better movement
Ness is beautiful. My main boi since 64. Finally he's better than he's ever been. ToT I often kill with nair after PK Fire. Also down throw a lot to secure more damage, I'm surprised you didn't mentioned that classic. I've recently started using PSI Magnet a lot more but I still have no idea how some Ness players move around with it like they do. And... how do you cancel aerials? ._. Should have talked more about the yo-yo.
This might be one of my greatest works
Frenzy Light stuff competition when compared to everything else you’ve made! Keep up the hype content!
When Ness bread and butters FT BN like you did w blucas
Frenzy I love you and your content and this video is SO GOOD
super nice edits, only gripe is sometimes game/music/effects overpowered bn’s voice. that’s tiny though, amazing work.
YOUR EDITING IS AMAZING

I appreciate that a whole section is dedicated to movement this is so important imo
Nhorthy same, didn’t realize how crucial it is
Watch some of the stuff Blucas does with Lucas, it's insane and really shows off what movement can do
That's particularly important because of how different their air movement is. The longest airdodges, a weird arc while jumping, and hability to change momentum.
Well Ness has amazing air control might as well use it.
Just a couple notes i’m taking with some time stamps. Don’t mind me.
PK Fire: 3:30
Options regarding opponents percentage:
- 4:53: 0-25%
- 5:54: 25-50%
- 6:15: 75-100%
- 6:33: 100% or more
Note: Characters like game and watch and lucinda can escape pk fire with up-b
7:23: Pk fire double jump cancel
PK Thunder: 8:01
-Good for baiting airdodge against players who don’t know who to deal with it
-Use the tail of the PK thunder as a wall to prevent players from punishing you
-Loop it back towards you, this isn’t as easily punished
8:53: Combos available from PK thunder
PK Flash: 9:29
11:14 is my favorite. To see Ness punishing Zelda really makes me happy.
Yes fuk zelda

Big hitboxes with incredible frame data, it’s not the side b
So my discord name has been WorstNess in honor of you, but now with this guide, I can change my name to AverageNess.

The two dislikes are DK players
Ness and DK are my mainz XD
it feels like i play a large number of DKs online as Ness...
Urtuber I just said that because DK’s matchup against ness is obnoxiously bad and it’s considerably difficult to beat a ness as DK

Mr Cheez66 Yeah they fixed it
He didn't mention this!! Ness' optimal jab reset is jab, psi magnet, f-smash. The magnet pushes them to the tipper hit box.
