🧽 Things I Wish I Knew About Cleaning When I First Started 🧼
1️⃣ ALWAYS dust first to remove buildup, making cleaning easier instead of just pushing debris around.🧹
2️⃣ Let the product sit for a few seconds or longer before scrubbing or wiping.⏳ It needs time to work, or you'll end up scrubbing more for the same result!🧽
3️⃣ Use a portable cleaning caddy with all your supplies to make cleaning more efficient and quicker!🧺
4️⃣ Don't forget to clean unseen top areas!🔝 The tops of doors, above cabinets, and other hidden spots often get missed. Ignoring these means dust and debris just fall onto areas you've already cleaned, causing double duty cleaning!🥴
5️⃣ Invest in good quality cleaning tools to save time and effort in the long run.🛠️
6️⃣ Maintain your vacuum and other cleaning tools at least once a month to keep them lasting longer and working like new!🤩

When cleaning any sticky or crusty mess (ie; coffee zones or inside of the fridge) soak a cloth in warm soapy water and lay it down damp on the mess. Then come back in 10-15 minutes and it'll wipe right off. No scrubbing. Saves me sooo much time.

My grandma taught me ALWAYS to clean rooms from top to bottom - work smart, not hard 😅 It really irks me now when I see people cleaning at the bottom (vacuuming first!), then at the top (dusting), then at the bottom for the second time (of course) - who on earth does that??? 🤔🤔🤔

If you place newspaper or something similar along the tops of your cabinets they will collect all the dust and grime then you can just lift them up and throw them away when cleaning up there. Then replace them of course.

What vacuum cleaners do you recommend? I could see you were able to take yours apart to clean and I cant do that with mine 😢

Great tips, however, I would never use any brush or anything I use anywhere else to dust even the lid of my toilet seat. That all is done with kitchen roll and cleaner and then put straight in the bin as it obviously clogs toilets. It is harder as I'm wiping up more dust but I can't do it any other way. Maybe OTT but that's me 😬

To clean horizontal window blinds: Get an old sock damp (water or cleaner), put it on like a puppet, pinch each slat in the "mouth" part, and slide your hand back & forth.
