That was thanks to the Globalist CEO that had never rode a motorcycle in his miserable life... and should have been taken out back and shot. Its all part or their plan to get the great USA out of their way, so they can "Build Back Better" and rule the world. And that used to just be some conspiracy theory but now a days... Im not so sure of that anymore.
@@Ed-ty1kr they all belong to a certain 'organization' too... the ceo's.. the bankers, the elites, all come from the same 'family'. Their "early life" sections on wikipedia all start out eerily similar.
These guys really know their stuff! Called them up and told what I wanted to do the 1250 kit on my bike and they told me about other changes I'd need to make and were able to give me everything I needed. I've been ripping on it for 6 years now and it's super reliable!
I'll likely end up doing a 1250 kit with my x1 next winter. After 22 years the engine is a bit tired, glad to see others have had good long-term experience with their kits.
Really interesting. This hp tinkering is fun to watch (and also to do): making hypotheses, changing the tune and testing that with dyno. Basically just the same as scientific study.
Hi! I just stumbled on your channel and subbed directly! I own a 2001 x1 and would love a build like this! Or turbo... Btw. What would you recommend as a first performance upgrade besides air/exhaust and a tune? Stay safe and best wishes from Sweden
From that point you would want to do the whole build all at once, you don't want to piece mail it together. It ends up costing you way more money because you will be changing parts out as you go.
Yeah, that makes sense. Btw. Since my x1 was sold in Sweden i have 29/55 tooth belt pulleys. Since riding season just started, im not going to do anything major on the bike.. But i need a new belt and rear tire so im thinking about changing to US spec 27/61 pulleys while im on it.. Do you reckon it is worth it performance wise?
mike c the GP shift is great on the Buells. Takes literally 5 min to flip the arm and you get way more positive shifts up through the gears. They can be clunky shifting slow and soft.
That’s awesome that you were able to get another few hp in the mid range by taking the end cap off the muffler. I can’t wait to get a 883 Sporty and put this kit on it with your CNC ported heads.. Great job you guys!!! The Evo MASTERS gettin her done🔥🔥🔥
You need a race header pipe. It has 12" longer primary tube & 2 1/2 collector. Muffler is yer personal pref. I I use a car 2 1/2 SupeTrapp muffler from Summit racing w/24 disks.
Nice lightning man .Looks kinda funny with the tailclip flamed and not the rest od the plastic in my opinion but as long as you like thats all that matters. I was going to tell you i noticed a big difference on my 2000 cyclone when i picked up a vance and hines slip on off caigslist . it has allen head bolts that hold the end cap on it and you can slide the baffels out if you want to and ofcorse i did do that . As far as i know its basically stock other then the slip on and ive got a forcewinder intake on it aswell .i don't really know how much the tube frame buells make stock but my cyclone fills almost as fast in a straght line as my 2005 firebolt with a D/D pipe on it but in the curves forget about it Xb all day everday for sure .Anyway its nice to see theres still some brothers of the buell out there . Aint it funny how anytime you run into a fellow buell broskie its like your automatically buddys ??? I guess great minds think alike !!!👍👍👍Oh yeah ive heard when you run basic basically a straightpipe on buells the loss of the backpressure will take a lil bit of bottom end i was thinking thats B.S but i guess i was wrong but who gives a shit loud pipes , piss off tha neighbors at 3oclock in the morning,i mean save lifes !!! Sorry i never can remember that saying !!!😂😂😂
This is good work but what it tells me, is that what i can expect with an average exhaust and intake installed after break in i can have 100 to 110 hp at 90lbs torque, on the street real world. good work guys, thank you.
Looks like it would be a really fun bike to ride. It is amazing what those V twins are capable of when tuned. I have an XB9 that I love. It is almost completely stock, but completely reliable.
Can you guys do a video on how to break in a big bore and cams at the same time? Cause don’t cams need 30 minutes of idle to heat up and idle. But you guys recommended heat cycling the motor for 10 sec 20 sec and so on?
Cams will brake in with a cyl/piston kit. No problem. Even better and slower. Cylinders and pistons needs that 10 20 etc seconds... and for cams it doesnt matter so much. So respect kit instructions. Tnx.
You know... watching him check the head and cylinder temps it makes me wonder if an XB12Ss frame is beneficial, or a hindrence? Being that the aluminum frame/tank wraps around the motor, and helps channel air to the fan as it flows over the fins, and how there is a ram air type scoop that grabs air while the bike is moving. I also notice the heat that can be felt on the frame when the tank is empty, but then cools off signifincantly once you fill it up. I actually use this as a makeshift gas guage of sorts, LOL.
The frames denfinently do get quite hot. The idea of the fuel in frame was to lower weight making it better for cornering. The cooling system (fan) is much better than the tube models which does help with cooling. The xbs engine is also quite different than a nornal sportster engine which is how theyre able to get such good hp from the bike. Really fun bikes
You're right, funny thing is my rear cylinder is usually about 10°F cooler than the front, and the fuel in frame helps cornering by lessening fuel sloshing like a top mounted single chamber tank does. And it may not be an XB9, but it does have a pair of XB9 domed pistons as my top secret 12 : 1 compression weapon. Just try not to tell anyone... ok?
Damn, it sounds good. Not good but perfect! It was most enjoyable watching the tweaking process performed by someone that knows what they are doing. Now back to cycletrader to find a Cyclone M2 :)
I thoroughly enjoyed this video, not only because I own a 1998 S1, but also how lively and engaging you are with a mind for technical details. Your bike sounds tough! It even has the same Nuclear Blue, gloss black combination as my machine. 🧑🔧
WATCHING alot of Hammer's great videos. question : is there a link to purchase the billet manifold to run a Mikuni 45 carb conversion from a early Buell efi intake, thanks Jack
The HSR45 and HSR48 manifolds are not offered on the web site, sorry. It's important that they're applied correctly, because they're designed for ported heads only. So we want to understand the plan and consult on those, the same as head porting. The HSR42 manifolds are designed for stock heads and therefore we offer those on the web site.
Just a question. Why aren't you running a chain instead of a belt? Maybe a stupid question, just wondering. Either way, sick bike and lots of power. Would love to get my sporty near those power levels some day 🤙🏼
Because belts are quieter, cleaner, sap less power, and need less maintenance. This is a street bike, there's no need for gearing changes and it's not going to see shock loads like in drag racing, so the belt works just fine.
Curve 4 is very difficult to improve on with a custom map, on most builds. It's a good match for your typical street hot rod motor. Makes the most power and runs the coolest. Here's a very typical result: www.aswracing.com/dyna2000results.gif . Don't buy this nonsense that more advance gives more power up to the threshold of ping, that's almost never the case and that myth has scuffed more pistons than you can imagine.
@@HAMMERPERFORMANCE YesI belive you. I tried 1st curve oce ad it pulled like crazy from low to top rpm but i think it destroys motor like that. Sorry for bad English and thank you for reply . Yes! Back in the old days, the pumps were electric, and they failed a lot. Finally Dynojet came out with this simple air operated pump that works on the venturi principle. It pulls the exhaust up from the probe (that's stuck up inside the pipe) and to the oxygen sensor. Works a lot better than the old electric units but it's noisy as hell.
Thats a pretty tricked Tuber. Is that a Baker 6 with your GP set up!? Besides the 6th gear, its the first thing i noticed on your bike, did they even offer a stock black primary then? 2005 XB12R myself, got some good stuff going on but time to add some more fun from you guys this winter, its gonna be a long one here in Mass. Fun video, i like it...
Great work Dan! So in total the timing really didn't change more than 3deg but gained close to 3-4hp? Have you had a chance to try the Danmoto highway man II lately? If I recall you had dyno'd it aginst the patriot and unbaffled it was really close if not identical, but baffled it had the same reversion as what the super trap displayed here?
