    Can't wait for the next video! What grease do you use?

    • @rcfungames
      @rcfungames  11 месяцев назад +1

      Awesome! I will try to get it done as soon as possible 😅
      The grease I use is a high temperature Grease from Castrol
      I use this as I've got plenty of it lying around because I do lots of work on real cars.
      It's been working great for me and when you strip it after a few weeks use you always notice the grease is still on the teeth.
      I've tried using other greases but they tend to just push off the teeth.
      Leaving them with not enough lubrication and they become noisy.
      I am sure there are better greases out there for this but this has been working for me.

    How is the top end speed with the new crawler gears and motor? I'm looking at doing the same upgrade, but hoping it's still fast enough to be used for trail hiking.

    • @rcfungames
      @rcfungames  10 месяцев назад +4

      Hi dude, the speed is definitely a lot better than with the stock motor with reduction gears but probably still a tiny bit slower than the original gearing!!
      But it's got so much more power and slow crawling that it's definitely worth it in my opinion.
      Yes it's still fast enough to enjoy on the trails 😜

    As I patiently wait for my high Trails to arrive I am needing tools to work on them. I know you use the injora tools but what sizes do I need? Any information is appreciated. Thank you

    • @rcfungames
      @rcfungames  3 месяца назад +2

      Oh yes!! The patients game! tell me all about it 😅
      It only took 20 days for my parts to arrive so I can start my Jeep Cherokee trx4m injora build! 🤣🤣
      On the bright side I got my Ford F-150 High Trail trx4m last week Friday and still haven't unboxed it 😅
      I'll see if I can squeeze that video in sometime this week 😉
      When it comes to tools to work on the Traxxas trx4m, the most common size is the 1.5 mm allen wrench that you will be needing.
      But I would definitely grab a set that has, the sizes between 0.9 and 4mm
      Just to make sure you've got them at hand because sometimes when you buy products they come with some different sizes.
      Also make sure you pick up a really tiny Phillips screwdriver, because a lot of accessories you buy to customize the body come with tiny tiny little phillip screws!
      I hope that helps bro
      I honestly recommend the injora tools, for the price, the quality is awesome.

    • @Adam_Oden
      @Adam_Oden 3 месяца назад +1

      @@rcfungamesthank you. Will order some. Also, I plan on my high trail just being a two vehicle. I plan on building a crawler to be pulled around via the high trail. Are any upgrades really necessary in your opinion? Was thinking motor and transmission.

    • @rcfungames
      @rcfungames  3 месяца назад +2

      @@Adam_Oden if it's going to be a tow truck, I would definitely recommend making it quite heavy, so basically you going to want to get as much wait down low as possible.
      Get the brass high clearance links, brass gearbox mount or belly pan, definitely some brass rims, and I wouldn't go for any bigger shocks than the 53 mm, and I would run the original springs from the original shocks on them.
      Also make sure to get, a 50 WT oil for the shocks, I wouldn't go for less than that.
      Besides that you're going to want to keep that front down, so besides all the other items mentioned, I would definitely get brass knuckles, C hubs, steering link and diff covers.
      If there's one thing I've realized about using a trailer and pulling another rig, is that it's going to have to be pretty heavy and the suspension much stiffer than a normal crawler.
      Besides that make sure you set the right rear shock and front lift truck defer than the other two.
      To counter the torque twist motion and body lean.

    • @Adam_Oden
      @Adam_Oden 3 месяца назад +1

      @@rcfungames think the stock motor will be fine or should that be upgraded too?

    • @rcfungames
      @rcfungames  3 месяца назад +2

      @@Adam_Oden sorry I forgot to mention grabbing a transmission with reduction gears and the 180 48T purple motor
      The reason I recommend the whole transmission, over upgrading your own, is the fact that comes out a lot cheaper, how's the transmission already comes with bearings reduction gears aluminum housing and the motor, for around 40 bucks, and if you upgraded individually it's going to end up costing you around 80

  • @xtheoneandmany
    @xtheoneandmany 11 месяцев назад +1

    are you not concerned about the Injora motor not being water proof?

    • @rcfungames
      @rcfungames  11 месяцев назад +3

      It is a valid concern!! but until today I've never had one brushed motor burn out because of water!
      Even though they say it's not waterproof there is no reason for a brushed motor to burn out in water.
      I think what they are referring to is that the internal components like bearings or bushings will rust causing problems.
      If you noticed I always kept the water line below the gearbox mount.
      Therefore I don't have to worry about water getting in the engine.
      When I built the river I made sure the the depth would not surpass the chassis.
      I really appreciate you watching and commenting ✌️😁
