- Xbox Game Pass Ultimate on the Steam Deck is not what you think, its a great addition to the Steam Deck with a mild cost of $15. It's hard not to recommend this as a service to add to the de4cks functionality. Plus Back 4 Blood is a sweet game i never have time to play, and can play now on the toilet.

Thanks for Watching!
xbox game pass, steam deck emulation, best xbox game pass games, xbox game pass steam deck
I think that the best benefit is that because you’re streaming games rather than running them, you benefit the most in battery life. I get 5-6 hours of battery just playing any game
They really need to port it over natively. Xbox is missing out
Agreed, seems like most of the software just isn't set up for Linux
Because yeah, its not Xbox Game Pass but Xbox Game Streaming.
Xbox Game Pass “Ultimate” lol
I never thought about games as like a service like Netflix, but that’s soo accurate!! And you’re right it’s a awesome form factor for this type of gaming 😊
Right I now have to many I'll never play lol
The experience with game pass on steam deck was shocking.
Super helpful video! I agree that the value proposition is there for $15/month. Just another reason the steam deck is great.
Thanks, it's not as good as that profile pic though (• ε •)
I don't know why, but my icons never show up outside of desktop mode for xcloud. I'm using the icon, banner, and console .png files that come directly from the Microsoft guide and for whatever reason when I go to game mode, none of them show up. I just have blank spots. The app works etc. I just dont know why the banner and stuff show up in desktop mode and not gaming mode. Any ideas? Thanks
Maybe resulution or file path? Just guessing but I had to change mine a few different times to get it to work.
@DaveyG I don't know. For file path I just clicked and assigned the 3 different photos to the areas where they go while in desktop mode. But I just put them in my photos album. Maybe I need new pictures. Because the files I got for edge all work, it's just the pictures from the Microsoft guide that I have tried that dont work. They aren't the ones I see in this video. So maybe that's the issue.
Great video :)
Thank you! 🤘
Great video, i will give it a go.
Thanks I appreciate it, it's worth a try even if it's just to demo a few games!
In the name of science AND gaming! 😂
Not sure choose one....
can you not install the xbox game pass games on the steam deck? Not even through the add a "non-steam game" option?
Universal Windows Programs won't run on Linux leaving Xbox game pass at streaming only.....for now.
so if you don't pay 15 euro's per month on gamepass you can't do this ?
jesus christ, 15 euro's per month...
it used to be 13 euro's which i already found VERY expensive and now seriously 15... while not all games are available on gamepass.
Yeah, you can use steams remote play but your PC will need to be on.
Hey would like to know do ur steam deck have a back light bleed and is that normal or I should send my back ??????
Mine doesn't
Gamepass...
can you also play your xbox games on it without being subscribed to gamepass ?
No, not currently. They only have the fronend for windows.
So, since you're streaming games technically, then does that mean no saves?
Cloud saves, works great
Am I allowed to do this for Starfield? @@DaveyG
@@panamike6178yes, just tried it today, runs pretty okay, doesn’t look the best at times but it’s very playable and very fun
I played Fortnite both installed and thru cloud, and cloud ran ALOT smoother.
I'm noticing that for a few games. I'm trying to get PS Plus to work on it now but it's a bit involved
Or you could just use phone with Xbox cloud?
You could, yes.
Why do you have square thumbnails?
Been asking my parents the same thing for years, they just grow that way.
Nice video man. I have to discuss with so many Steam Deck owner, that Xbox Game Pass is a good thing.
But they all come with the same stupid arguments like.
You don't run on SD hardware. So?
You don't own the game. So?
You have to pay a monthly subs. OK, I understand that, but I have access to tons of games, I would not buy, but still have the option to try them out, if I'm interested.
If the game is demanding on the SD's Hardware, then I'm looking for a better option.
Playing Ark: Survival Evolved over the cloud is really great. Safes me a download and disk space of 220 GB.
Fallout 4, FH 4 + 5 and many more.
Xbox Cloud gaming also safe me more than +1TB of downloads and diskspace.
Totally agree, it's only like 7-9watts of power too with screen brightness all the way up. I think the best argument for Xbox cloud service is a handheld. Plus it's $180 a year which is three AAA titles. If you won't play more than that don't get the service. I've really been enjoying playing back for blood on my PC then moving over to the deck while traveling. Game save sink easily.
Scam? No
