Glad to see you back :) Now while I am not that into streaming my games since I have so many games already I must say, it's kinda insane how far the tech has come (for areas that have the stable internet connection to play this reliably) If you're into Dark Souls type game I would highly recommend trying out Hellpoint on the deck or just on normal pc. I might have mentioned it before actually haha.
Having XCloud + GeForce Now is awesome. They both work really well and streaming allows indeed for such a long battery life. Only issue is that you need a good connection, so it’s hard to get it working well if you are using hotspot from your phone on a coffee place or using the lousy wifi networks from say an hotel.
Pasted the command in Konsole but Xcloud still doesn't seem to want to pick up my controller. Its weird as I can use the controller to navigate the menu in game paas but as soon as I boot up a game, no controller is recognised.
I was encouraged by this video after having bad input lag issues with Edge but the issue is the same and it's with every game. Do you have any recommendations for this? My internet speeds are really good so it shouldn't be that. Thanks!
Yeeeah, glad to see you back!! What cloud gaming platforms i can install to Steam Deck? I wanna try Boosteroid because my friends recommend it to me, and it is interesting to see your review about this if Boost suit SD. Thank you for answer!

What is the difference if you use a phone and gamesir or razer kishi controller and steamdeck? When i'm using a phone i am streaming from geforce now 120fps and from my pc with moonlight 120fps... Is steamdeck running better than android phone?
It's probably comparable. It's just an added bonus to be able to play native PC stuff on the deck but if all you care about is streaming and emulation, a good phone with a good controller attachment can suit you just as fine. I'm noticing too that the phone app versions have the "clarity boost" option which hasn't made it's way to Linux yet.
@@Graves1 But you still have to put in all those code lines described on Microsoft’s help page for XCloud on the Deck, correct? In other words, the process hasn’t become any simpler….
For some reason when I follow these same steps, my browser doesn't open to the XCloud page but instead has me sign into my google account. It opens the XCloud page when I open Chrome from the desktop but not from gaming mode. Any ideas?
You have to open Google Chrome and tell you don't want to sign in in desktop. Also make sure you paste the link too. I missed it the first time I pasted the thing in priorities. You can also replace the url with w/e ya like if ya open a different webpage then xcloud
It's mind-blowing how many options you have on Steam Deck. The ultimate "streaming" style of gaming on the Deck is remote play for the PS5. That way I get access to all the PS+ games and any other game I own. It basically turns my PS5 into a Switch. There's zero latency! And it takes minimal battery life as the PS5 is doing all the work.
@@dannny6019 Actually it lags sometimes but I think it's because of the internet connection and might be because of Xbox cloud. This is the only way I could play Fortnite on steam deck for now after trying out the other alternatives
You glossed over something really quickly… you said you “switched to performance mode” on cloud streaming… what does that mean?!? Where is that setting?! Edit: rewatched and I think you meant ingame options for Forza 5. I originally thought you meant there was a general cloud setting that could be toggled for game pass streaming! 😅
Many Steam Deck owners are PC players first. They might have Gamepass Ultimate already and want to play those free games on their Steam Deck as well as their PC
You know how you can get your Xbox games, all your Steam games, all your Ubisoft games, all your Origin Games, GOG, Epic, you name it, just get Windows 11.
@@Graves1 Linux has always had less background processes than Windows, this is nothing new. But the fact that some games run better on Steam deck doesn't make up for the fact that most games don't run on Steam deck unless you install Windows. At least for me. The hardware is incredible and as far as price to Performance goes the steam deck has everything beat. Steam os is fine, but not ready for 80%or more of existing pc games. One thing I do appreciate about steamos and all those different compatibility layers is that you can get dos games running on them quite nicely. I honestly don't see everyone's aversion to installing Windows. It's great.
I’m way too stoned I thought you had your candle in the pc 😂
Glad to see you back :)

Thanks for returning man!! Hellpoint looks super interesting I’m going to check it out
Great to see you again! I finally started uploading videos too, focusing on the Ayaneo Air. Can will be doing one on the deck with windows soon too.
Nice dude! I will give them a watch

Lets go!! Good to see you back at it on steam deck.
whats the resolution and FPS of xcloud on steam deck my friend? answer me please 🙏

Better than edge? Perfect! Is adding xbox icons the same setup? Definitely using chrome ty

What is your internet speed?
I have been an Ultimate subscriber for so long now. I need the Steam Deck to finally play some PC games.
I tried doing this and failed I have no idea what I’m doing wrong man
Great video! Can you please tell how to use the searchbar while in game mode?

I enter the command into my konsole and I still have no controller support.

My controller doesn't work? Can't play anything

How is this different from the previous Xcloud workaround on Steam Deck? Not seeing any reports of any “new” way to access XCloud on the Deck.
It’s running off chrome instead of edge so has support for higher resolution and lower latency

I really need to try streaming my ps5 to my deck! It sounds great
There's also finally a way to stream your Xbox to the steam deck too if anyone's curious
I was trying to play Fortnite for so long on my steam deck and thanks to your video, I could finally do it. Liked and Subscribed!!

Tried to demo it with fortnite for free but it is quite blurry. Is that because it is free?
No, I think because of slow internet will make the screen blurry.
@@Duffpunk hmm I can stream 4k shows and play geforce now no problem including Fortnite, but fair enough that is the only answer I found too.
@@Duffpunk Turns out I had left the deck setup for a different game so it was 40fps with fsr etc. Sorted now I reset it for xcloud.
You looking forward to God of War Ragnarok?
Yes!! Super hyped for that, Persona 5 will have to take a back seat for a few weeks

This is only for certain games, Forza 5 has a performance mode in its settings so it’s running 60fps instead of 30fps.
I mean i don't know why to play x cloud on a steam deck but nice video

Cloud gaming is horrendous even with the best internet. The input lag completely ruins it for me. I guess ill have to dual boot.
